Our go to pizzeria failed us recently so we decided to try Carson's. "Hole in the wall" is best way to put it. A couple seats inside but got takeout anyway. I hope I get the same quality pizza each time because this was great. Not super saucey which helps pizza hold itself and got a great crisp. Will order next time fore-sure. Here we go again! We have a ton of pizza joints in a 10 minute radius. Many are good but this tastes great. Even the wife who is a cheese pizza freek stated that not only was the crust awesome and crispy but the sausage tastes great. When I told here the price she said "our new go to!" The mom and pop shop added breath mints and mini tootsie rolls on the counter. I consider it a safe driving reward! Instead of trying to eat the dang pizza while driving(distracted driving). I tried the breaded steak sandwich because everyone was raving about it. It was okay but I'm still in search for the best one. It was counter service so no great shakes. The absolute best hidden gem in the southwest suburbs, their thin crust pizza is incomparable (consistently 5 stars for years), their breaded steak sandwich is undeniably awesome, and their grilled steak sandwich is simply sweet and savory deliciousness. This was our first time trying Carson's. We ordered over the phone for pickup & service was good. If you pay in cash, there's a 3.25% discount, according to a sign over the cash register. We didn't know so we paid with card. It's got limited seating & that small, authentic pizzeria feel. We ordered sandwiches & a calzone. We had the steak & mozzarella, meatball & grilled chicken sandwiches. All very good! Meatballs made fresh. Everything seems to be made very fresh, where at some places you can't be sure. The calzone was very good & pretty big. It made us excited to order pizza next time. There's that slight yeasty flavor of a fresh made crust that hits different in the best way. The fries were slightly salty for us, but still really good. That's just a personal preference though. This is a local, family owned business. Prices were worth what you get! Consistently very good pizza, always done as requested. Tasty sauce, real cheese & ingredients, and we very seldom have any slices not eaten. 20+ years in Shorewood and this is my new go-to pizza. Absolutely fantastic! That is high praise from someone having grown up in Cicero in the 70's & 80's. You can taste the pride in one's food. 1st timer pizza lover. I had a medium thin crust sausage and mushroom pizza for $27 and some change. The flavors where good the staff friendly and it came out right on time. However every ingredient is an additional cost. This makes Carson's a little harder for me to see them as a go to, for me. My opinion: Jets and Rock City have a slight edge due to flavor, price and generous on ingredients. There are many good pizza places so I will see what awaits me. read more

Did have a issue when my debit card was put through multiple times. Young lady had to change out paper and not sure if she realized it had gone through more than once. There's a window behind the slot machines so you can order a pizza and have a drink while you wait. They also have delivery and carry out. I really like this pizza! It's got a light flavorful crust and the cheese stays gooey for quite a while. I've burned my mouth several times! You need to be careful to let it cool down, right when it comes out of the oven. read more
