Checked out this pretty casual bar. It happens to be a local favorite in Shorewood. Bedrocks for certain is nothing fancy as expected. Get some cheap drinks and greasy ass food. They apparently have what some call good pizza. Basically it's more like a bar that has some food. It's known for the cheap drink specials always going on. There's a bar in the middle surrounded by tables. Certainly not the cleanest place but it wasn't that bad. We got some of the cheap specials. It's $4 for Ole Smoky shots on Saturdays, which are great with mixers. The food is basic greasy stuff. It's about $9 for the Soft Jumbo Pretzel. This is a massive thing. Comes with cheese. The rest of the menu has pizzas if you're okay making it from being frozen. Fairly better place than expected. It's located to the east of the one plaza, which is close to the library. I have been to this bar for years , using tap to pay which is of the wave.. let's me progressive. Which now is not accepted per owners authorization. The previous bar tenders have been great but not tonight!! They still took my money though ! Customer service needs to be improved. read more

Going to be honest. An acquaintance from Sidelines recommended I try this bar out and come in on a Thursday for karaoke. It's cool that the bar is a 25-35 demographic place but this place is truthfully really boring. Bartenders are okay. The prices aren't that bad. They have a pool table and darts as well. Came here for Halloween cause me and my friends felt like putting on costumes. It was pretty packed they had a D.J of sorts/MC karaoke, and a costume contest which I didn't plan on winning because I forgot lingerie and a cat ears make you a cat. Instead rebelled and dressed as Billie Eilish (some of you will get it) A couple of my friends ordered the Buffalo Chicken Pizza they said it was awesome. The bartenders can kinda be rude to mostly women it seems. But not gonna judge them all. Bedrock is the go-to spot whenever I head back to the Joliet/Shorewood/Plainfield area with friends I went to high school with, and it does the trick. I'll start off with the positives, as I always like to do: - The drinks are cheap, especially from my perspective after living in Chicago/NYC for a few years. - There's a slight, personal comfort of being in the area, because it reminds me of growing up in the suburbs. - The staff is always nice. - The soap in the bathroom smells nice. My least favorite thing about Bedrock is probably the karaoke. This is surprising to me, because I'm a big karaoke fan, especially drunk karaoke. However, I wish it happened in the back or somewhere where it's not the only music playing in the entire front bar, because it can get... painful. With all that being said, if you're looking to drink at a low price, Bedrock does get the trick done. There's always plenty of parking as well. Ads kept posting on FB for $8 burgers, we had to try it. It was hard to find tucked in the back of a strip mall but we thought it was worth the search. The burgers were not huge but plenty filling and the fries were equally good. We were there for lunch so not really busy. I am 60 and came here with the wife to attend a Star 96.7 girls night out event and have a chance to win Bon Jovi tickets. I must say I am really impressed with the place! I do not usually go to bars as I do not drink unless I am with friends or going to see a band play on Friday or Saturday night. There was a decent crowd here on a Thursday afternoon about 4:30 pm. Since it was dinner time we decided to order food which is all freshly made. I had the BBQ burger which was quite good. It was topped with onion rings and BBQ sauce and came with freshly cooked fries that were quite delicious. We shared an appetizer of poppers and they were very good! My wife had the marinated grilled steak nachos which were also very good. They were a bit much for her but I polished them off. Yum! This place has a ping pong table, free popcorn, a gambling game area, and pool tables! The regulars surrounded the bar and the bartenders seemed extremely friendly. To order the food you fill out the menu with check marks on the items you want and turn it on to the bartender. They then bring the food out to your table after they cook it. I went to this bar last night and I was very disappointed. The bouncers and bartenders were complete dicks and assaulted me personally. I recommend this bar to anyone who wants to have a terrible night of overpriced drinks and unfriendly conversations. Instead you should try Skooters Roadhouse which is right beside it. read more

This place amuses to me no end. And to be honest, I'm not sure what to think of it. I can't help but laugh at the thought of even going here. It feels like I'm drinking in someone's basement. Drinks are cheap which is a huge plus. And it's never really crowded. The bartenders are always nice and attentive. I just...I don't know. I think it's a nice place to pre-game at. Pre-game for what? I'm not entirely sure. Never had a bad experience here either. It's just not a place to get excited about I suppose. Check it out. Have no expectations. And just enjoy yourself. Great local bar. It's what you would call a dive bar with cheap beer specials, locals, and outdated. However it's great place. We are afternoon drinkers and this is a great place for that. They now have Shuffleboard in addition to the 10 pool tables / billiards. The service is also great before 8pm! read more

I wish this place was closer to my house. The food is good for bar food and the prices are very good. They have 26 tap beers and a good amount cans and bottles and all reasonably priced. BUT the service is fantastic . EVERYONE is very nice. Been in here 4-5 times and it's been a good time everytime. Stop in if your in the area. read more

Its a local bar, it doesn't really try to bring in a big crowd , they have live bands from what i see on there facebook every week. There is always some daily drink specials only thing i wish is that bud light was on tap otherwise recalling from memory they have Miller Lite, Coors Light, Blue Moon, guniness, and 2 more i wanna say, of the 2 bartenders i have encountered there, i being on the shorter end wasn't the kindness , thus i probably will not go on wed night but the one on monday is amazing read more

I like this place and I like the food. My only complaint is that everytime i go one of the bouncers does some douche ass shit. Its usually the same couple guys, on the flip side some of them are ok. They usually have the game on and aren't outrageously expensive. I would come here more if the bouncers would shut the hell up and quit being pricks. This is a good bar to hang out on any night of the week. There's always some sort of event going on here and the prices can't be beat. Believe me when I say there are pool tables-a-plenty (like 15), there are dart boards, bean bags on the outdoor patio (paid tournaments on Sundays!), an excellent juke box, sometimes live bands, very clean ladies' bathrooms, and a simple and cheap bar food menu. Not my favorite place. For first timers it's hard to find. A lot of the times it's nearly impossible to get a beer at the bar if it's busy. The separate pool room helps cut the noise a little bit. Beer is expensive if it's not on special and the food selection is my as good as many of the other local bars. Save yourself time and find a dive. read more

Drinks are reasonably priced and the food is good, but the owners, Jackie and her husband have the worst attitude towards people at the bar and treat their customers like dirt. Last time I was there jackie threw my money at me when she was giving me back my change every time I went to get a drink it has gotten to the point where I will wait for another bartender to get my drink for me. Every time I go there I take my time ordering because it's proper bar edict to ask bar tenders questions like what's on tap, or do you have this beer. And getting yelled at to hurry up I'm running a bar and I don't have time to wait on you comments are not what I want to here coming from the manager of a company. One more thing is when I am closing my tab and it gets declined don't get mad at me because I'm transferring funds through my phone to pay pay you. I'm not a perfect person by any means and I'm not the only customer to they do this to but they should at least have the decency to be good people.
