I had a great experience, but the service wasn't great. The staff wasn't that friendly. The food on the other hand was amazing. There is so many different choices of pizza. There is also chicken, salad, and dessert. For dessert there's soft serve, cookie cake, rootbeer floats, cakes, and such. There is an arcade in the back, which is perfect for little kids. We took our grandkids on a Sunday morning. Nothing was out on the buffet when we got there. It took almost 1/2 for the chicken to come out.

We have been coming to the Shorewood Pizza Ranch for two years. However today, I stated this is my grandsons birthday. Asked to speak to the manager. Discovered the manager was the rudest person I have ever encountered. Not only was he not friendly, he was not helpful in explaining the $5 birthday discount on the buffet and refused my polite request. I will never revisit this restaurant. This organization needs to take a critical look at this particular manager and his intimidation tactics against a grandmother and her young grandson. read more

Pizza Ranch. Think Pizza Hut meets Old Country Buffet. The buffet is small but features hot foods like fried chicken, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, biscuits, etc. Most of it is hot and good. The pizza portion features maybe 6-7 different pizza types, all thin crust, plus some pizza-like bread sticks. There is a small salad bar too, with salad of course and cold items like potato salad and cottage cheese. Pickled beets too. There are self-serve fountain drinks to wash it all down. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger pizza to go. I used to love the bacon cheeseburger pizza that Casey's gas stations sold, but they got rid of. I was hoping this particular pizza was going to be similar and it was not. I thought it was decent. I would give this place another try, but I would definitely try a different kind of pizza. Maybe next time I will give the buffet a chance. When I went, there was not many people inside. But, the location was very clean and the fried chicken did look really good. Could not say enough great things about our recent visit. Came with a big group of adults and kids. They gave us the party room which is connected to the arcade. A staff member gave my littles complimentary $10 game cards. They were able to play plenty more with a $20 reload each. The food is tasty. Had different types of pizza, fried chicken, bread sticks, and salad. Then had pizza cookie, several slices of the pastry pizza and a dollop of soft serve. The staff was accommodating from beginning to end. Made sure we knew that if there was a type of pizza we didn't see on the buffet, they would special make it. The place was packed and we were all dissapintingly surprised. They were obviously understaffed as the few workers there were scrambling to get things together. This pizza ranch I and my children had been looking forward too since we had frequented the location in the Wisconsin dells back 8 years ago when they were in their teens.food was overpriced and the quality was subpar in addition .between the 4 of us we try to stomach a plate of food apiece to off set how much we paid per person.and we felt ill just trying to eat the food we did get.bathrooms have no toilet paper and the other stalls the doors wouldn't open.i guess there is a certain way you have to lift the door with your back to it (because I guess the doors in the stall are prone to open up. Just your typical pepperoni, cheese, breadsticks. Crust is thin and cheap. Kinda like gas station pizza. They tell you that you can request a special pizza but it's not even ready by the time you're done eating. The salad bar is small. Seems like the pizza all the way down to the salad bar- everything has been sitting out for awhile and not kept up fresh. Mashed potatoes and fried chicken were really good. Pizza was so good. Can order any kind of pizza and they give you a buzzer so you know when it is ready. The chicken and awesome soft serve ice cream is worth the trip alone! What I don't understand is the parking. You have a parking lot sloped down from the building but there's no sidewalk to get up there. You have to walk up the slope! Showed up at 5:30 to find a line to the door and 3 half-pizzas available (veggie, bacon ranch, and sausage). At the Peoria location, you can order pizzas for your table. My wife, thinking we could do the same, ordered a pepperoni. They gave her a buzzer. But when it went off, it wasn't for the pizza but to let her know she could join the scrum of 5-7 year olds at the bar and try to get some up there. We started heading in and were told I'd have to pay to go in. Told them I don't plan to eat at all but was told I had to pay either way. This was after we had clearly paid for my wife and kid. Told them fine and told my wife and kid to go eat and I'll wait in the car (my son had been looking forward to the trip so didn't want to punish him). After a few minutes the manager came and told my wife I could come in after all. What a crock. How many people have been forced to pay because they wouldn't or couldn't go outside and wait?
