CarSport is THE BEST!! It's an awesome, family-run business. They've been working on my cars for about 18 years. They do great work at extremely reasonable prices and won't charge you for diagnostics. They also don't do work if it's not needed! I brought my car in once because the AC was "smoking". They looked at it, told me it was just steam from the humidity, slid my keys across the counter and said "Bring it back when it's broke!" Another time, they fixed my Miata for $0.37-the cost of the fuse! Recently I brought it in because the headlights are so fogged and asked for replacement headlights. Their quote was over $200 less than the place where I get my oil changed AND they decided to try to polish out the fog rather than replace the lights, so it cost me less than $30 rather than almost $700. They could have sold me new headlights for hundreds of dollars because that's what I asked for, but they went the less expensive route on their own volition. I have been going here for over 5 years. I have never had a problem with quality of service, customer service or price. I just had some repairs done. They estimated $1450. They we're going to come in under and we found another problem that would certainly put me over but they did the extra work and still came in under the 1450. I had 4 brakes with pads and new rotars, alignment, new tires, all belts, battery and safety mount. Plus, when my wife took me to the shop, they plugged her tire and did not even add it to my bill of which I told them to do. Most people review this place as I do. Excellent. Because they are. I do not understand any of these not so good ones ( of which there are not many ) I only trust these folks, as well as my wife, 2 daughters and father in law. I brought my car in over two months ago to get it serviced. I was constantly waiting for them to contact me like they said they would about a part they needed for my car. Every time I called I got excuses more weeks would go by and still no call backs. I understand trying to save the customer money and getting them a better price on a part but in exchange my car still was never even fixed and I wasted time waiting for them to call me when they could have just said they weren't going to fix my car and I could have went somewhere else. Looks like I have found my new mechanic. I have been here twice since moving out to Katy. Once to have brakes installed on my truck and once to have my daughters old 240 Volvo worked on. Both times the vehicles were repaired quickly and the repairs were done right . Prices are reasonable . The employees were very nice and honest. You cant ask for any more than that. My airbag light had turned on, and I took it to the dealership to find out the issue. They told me they needed to replace the entire driver side seat, and it was going be nearly $5000. I obviously did not get that done, and took it to Carsport for a second opinion, and it turns out it was just a loose wire. This has been the WORST shop I've ever had to deal with. First, we brought our car telling them we would pay what was needed to fix it, just find the problems. Well, they gave it right back after "cleaning" the throttle and our car broke down AGAIN the same day we already had it towed. Then, they "fixed" a part for 700$. After it repeating it's issues while we drove, trying to break down, we bring it back for them for them to ADMIT they saw what the actual broken part was (TPS) but they "didn't break it" so they didn't want to fix it. After calling them out they said "buy the part and we'll fix it for free", and we now have a tps with one bolt, and the second bolt that was broken? Still there! BACK TO SQUARE ONE. They don't want to fix the real issue. Also, with that logic, if YOU wreck your car, they don't want to fix it because THEY didn't wreck it. Now we're 900$ deep between the 700$ part, and towing which they didn't care to reimburse although they gave us 100% their word it wouldn't die again. Be careful with these guys. Simple fixes you can do yourself? They're all over it! Actual issues? Nah. Now we HAVE to find someone who can extract bolts. Only THEN can we get our TPS fixed. read more

I have been coming to these guys for years. They are my go to place for auto repairs. They service my 97 Jeep Wrangler and my fiancé's Jaguar XF. They are honest. They will not "fix" something that does not need to be fixed. Example 1; I brought the XF in the other day because the Brake pad light came on. Brakes on that sucker are $900. MOST places would have said "well, you need new brakes". Manuel from CarSport said, you don't need brakes, the Sensor that tells you that you need brakes on those cars is so big, that it goes off WAY before you need them. Wait for 6 months or until you hear brake pads rubbing on the rotor. (at least I know I'll need a $900 brake job in a few months). He also did my 35,000 mile service. At the dealership it would have been $600, he did it for $275. Example 2; My jeep would not blow air out of all the vents. The actuators are acting up. Brought it to CarSport and rather than taking the dash off ($400) to get to the actuators, Jimmy showed me A little trick to get it to work by turning off the air, then back on, and bam, air comes out of all vents. The entire team at Carsport is Great. We moved to the Katy area 16 years ago. Were were looking for a new reputable place due to an unfortunate experience at 2 other shops the first year. While getting parts from the O'Rielly's across the street I hear the store manager recommend Carsport to his customer. We tried them and have used them nearly exclusively for any work I could not do my self or did not have the time to do. As an example: We were in San Antonio when a brake line busted on our Ford conversion van. The Dealer in San Antonio wanted $4,000 and 5 days to fix it. Other shops we called wouldn't touch it because it was a northern car and had rust on the underside. Carsport did the work for less than $1,000. After paying to have car towed from San Antonio to Katy I was still far better off using their service. I've recommended MANY Friends to them over the years and I highly recommend them to everyone. read more
