I have gone to carters on el toro for 4 years. Have always had kind helpful people helping. Today I was trying to return an item for same price but a different pattern. Absolutely no, because I had used my 10 dollar reward towards purchase. Isn't like I don't spend hundreds of dollars. The old manager would have done it - had before to keep my on going business. We were in need of some baby socks! Five bags of clothes later, we had socks, shirts, pants and shoes for our two boys. We were greeted by Marisol who was so pleasant and helpful! Liz and Tiana were also helpful in our quest to buy so many item as we needed. The deals were very good put 60% off, and almost everything was half off. I opened a credit card account and received an additional 25% off our purchases. We couldn't be happier with all the bargains and deals we received. Including $60 dollars off our next purchase! I'm super excited that there is a Carter's by my house now and I do not have to drive to Ontario Mills just to go to a baby store. Every single last time I have been to this store, the staff were super nice especially Jen and Elizabeth. They both are super helpful and went above and beyond to satisfy my needs as a loyal Carter's shopper. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the both of them with a smile and made me feel welcomed. Another time I visited that store, there were other girls working (which I was bummed out because Elizabeth and Jen were AWESOME and super helpful), but I had nothing to worry about because Mari and Kianna we just as helpful as the previous ladies. They too greeted me as soon as I walked in and answered all my questions. I haven't had a disappointing experience shopping here at this Carters location. read more

There's a RACIST manager at this location. I was shopping when 2 customers were taking advantage of the 50% off sale as anyone of us would. a manager approached the men and told them they couldn't buy out the entire stock, they weren't. The men left politely and didn't buy a single item. The manager then got on the phone and started calling someone warning them that these men are gonna buy their entire stock and stated very loudly that "they were just resellers from Mexico" i was really offended as i am hispanic. THE ENTIRE POINT OF A STORE IS TO MAKE SALES AND THEY WERE GOING TO MAKE A BIG ONE. WHAT KIND OF MANAGER TELLS THEIR CUSTOMERS NOT TO BUY? What's it to her if they re sale items in Mexico, Canada, China, Japan, wherever they want. For all we know they could've been donating this product to kids in need. read more

Great products, good prices and fair amount of stock. Long waits for customer service. I waited to write this review. The previous review is accurate. I came in 2 months ago and there were two employees laughing at the register, deep in conversation. No greeting or attempt to see if I needed assistance. One girl went to the back room and the other went outside. Ok, people take breaks but there were no employees on the floor. Once the employee from outside came in stinking of cigarette smoke, she did ask if I was ok and did assist me in ringing up my merchandise. I came back recently to pick up my online order. Walked in to no greeting and waited in the line that was already formed. One customer yelled out, "There's still nobody there to help?" And another customer replied, "There's never any customer service here. I could walk out with all of this stuff." After 4-5 minutes of my waiting... (who knows how long everyone else had been waiting?)... an employee emerges from their back room and asks if we're "all ready?" The customer behind me says, "No we're all just waiting here for fun." Pretty funny, but the employee did not seem amused. 2 minutes later, another employee comes from the back room to handle the second register. Maybe this store should replace most of their employees with self-checkout kiosks and keep only a few employees to do stock since they all love being in the back room. That would save them a lot of money seeing as all the customers in the store at that day we're loyal to the "honor system." I've never seen a store with not at least one employee watching the floor. I really enjoy shopping here. They have some great pieces of clothing here. I don't like graphic tees or things with logos on them so it's nice to see clothes like this. I adore the baby overalls. The staff is nice and very helpful. My only complaint is they open kind of late and close kind of early. If not for the hours, I would give them five stars. read more

If you want poor customer service, shop here. This place is a disgrace to customer service, especially since it's a baby store. The consumers are pregnant women, like myself, mothers, family and friends with children. Yet, this store thinks it's okay to refuse am exchange of their items. I needed to exchange a onesie I recieved double at my baby shower. The tag stated "Carter's Baby" there a Carter's Baby store, so naturally I went to the actual store to return. The "manager" if you could call her that, refused the exchange because it was from either Costco, Kohl's or some other unknown retailer. There was NOTHING on the onesie that stated this....it said Carter's Baby, which is this store. I was dumbfounded by the lack of customer service and professionalism of this store. The manager was more interested in talking to other customer's than addressing the furious pregnant woman in the store. The manager was so poorly trained, she had to keep calling stores to find a store manager to yell at me over the phone. Needless to say I will never shop at a Carter's. My husband and I even left the onesie we brought into the store, Carter's can go ahead and retag and sell it. I've already contacted corporate and I am in the process of receiving a refund for this onesie. Do not waste your money or time here. Go to Kohl's or Target and get better customer service. read more

I'm still in disbelief of my experience at this Carter's but this is one of those times that staying quiet is not the answer. I went in to return two pairs of jeans that my mom had gifted my child. I don't care for bell bottoms but don't have the the heart to deny a gift. So naturally I returned them without a receipt. I did the normal protocol I walked in went straight to the register let the woman know I wanted to exchange handed her the jeans to hold and went about my shopping. I took my time I could feel the manager starting at me non stop. And that's when I started to feel really uncomfortable. Not even a can I help you ? Are you looking for anything particular? Nothing not even a smile. Like Gosh your badge said 8 years of service !! I'm sure your well Acquainted with the rules and standards of basic costumer service. So I finish up making my decisions and take the clothes to proceed with the exchange. The first thing the manager says to me is your recipient?? With a snarky attitude. I said I don't have it these were a gift from my mom. She then smirked and processed with an eye roll then saying okay so if your mom bought it what's her phone number it will come up on her history list. I looked at you like wooow. Your body language and over all demeanor Made it clear that you thought I was a thief. You thought I'm some broke ass girl out here stealing baby clothes. So what did I do? I gave you my moms phone number and her name. And Lo and behold it came up!!! Ya but you didn't want to admit it right ? All of a Sudden you became all quiet and felt dumb didn't you?? Next time you go around stereotyping think about it. Most people wouldn't have handled it as kindly as I did. read more

Had the best experience shopping here! Mari and Bianca were so helpful and kind. They put a little dress on hold for me for several days because I was unable to make it to the store on the day I had called to see if they had it available. And when I went in to the store, they were so helpful in finding some perfect additional pieces for my little one! I highly recommend this store, it's clean and the staff is so great!!! read more

If you want to be racially profiled look no further. A couple months back my husband and I came to shop here for our twins and needed to stock up on spring/ summer clothes. The whole time we were there they were staring at us & didn't even offer to hold our clothes at the register or offer anything to put our stuff in while we shopped. So I go to pay and asked a question to the cashier about my rewards with my credit card & who I can assume was the manager answered to the side and said "of course as long as you have your ID" I've NEVER been asked to show ID & I've been to this store a handful of times. And it didn't hit me until after we had left that she was asking because she probably thought I was doing fraud or stealing. But seeing as a lot of these reviews mention racism it's not so much of a coincidence. I spend a lot of money at carters and will definitely be shopping online after this experience. read more
