I always come here to shop and if I purchase online and didn't work they are so kind and accommodating to take the returns. Today,after I shop , on my way home I realized I left my phone in the bathroom. I right away called Nordstrom rack and a girl named Emily told me she got my phone. Someone turned it in. So o went back and picked it up. I was so thankful to her and also to a person who turned in my phone. I realized that there are still a lot of nice people out there. Thank you Nordstrom. VERY CROWDED W/ SOLID DEALS! Ontario Mills' Nordstrom Rack is understaffed and frankly very busy. My family and I walked in to grab a tie, belt, and dress, we waited a long time just to get to the register. I would recommend hiring more cashiers or moving some of the floor associates to the registers. I saw a couple employees messing around instead of working. Other than that, I thought the store was clean, neat, and easy to navigate. My Mom found me a $100 dollar tie which was under a special sale price of $27 dollars, it was a steal! It's a hit or Miss so if you like something, better buy it because it probably won't be there again later or be restocked. I like the cute bags that I saw on this visit. I could not believe my eyes and the things im hearing the way she responded to my NORMAL questions based on my experiences shopping for YEARS and literally TENS OF THOUSAND DOLLARS with Nordstrom / Rack. Needless to say of my familiarity and the literal rules of the do's and dont's of the employees. 1. my return of a defective item was right away refused without trying to discuss with a store manager or to understand my situation. I am not returning a USED item, it was literally defective and I purchased lots of other items that day totaling $1176. of course there will be chances of me not catching the defective item upon purchase. 2. miss markdowns on their end was not checked when I request her to check if the price might be the same! she just said, "it is what it is according to the tag" but VOILA it is NOT! Was politely asking if they have a case for the sunglasses I am purchasing. She said no case, and in my experience FOR YEARS! another generic case / brand is going to be offered for it. Merchandise options were good. This review is for the service y'all. As I was waiting in line to pay for my things, their system went down. They asked if I wanted to pay in cash but come onnnnn...I didn't have hundreds of bucks to drop like that. I asked if they could hold my items instead because I spent a lot of time selecting items for an upcoming trip. They agreed and took down my name/information. Came back the next day to retrieve my things only to find that everything was scattered and not put together. Many items went missing. The lady who helped me did everything she could, but she seemed annoyed AF. She made a fuss, "We usually don't hold items." Understood. But don't make the customer feel bad because the system was down. That's your dilemma. Overall it was a mess. It just shows they didn't have any plan/technology in place if their system malfunctions. The Rack has it and that's it. I can find makeup, purses, shoes, clothes, home goods at the Rack with ease. It's cheaper than the department store but still pricey. The Rack has good quality, but sometimes it's a little beat up. I recently found the Game of Thrones palette here at a great price. I thought those palettes sold out but apparently not. It's a great place to shop for yourself and others. My faves from here are democracy jeans, Urban Decay eye shadows, C.O. Bigelow lip balm, they have a La Coste bath mat for a great price, Marc Jacobs bags, endless shoes and shirts and workout wear! read more

I had a pick up order from Nordstrom and designated this Nordstrom Rack as my pick up location. Never again! The jacket did not fit and I wanted to return it. The sales associate, Mila, had me go and make the check out line for the return. What could've taken 2 minutes ended up taking 15 minutes. The line was long. They had 3 checkers total. I bought my son his first suit here back in July and just recently, took it out of the bag to get the pant legs hemmed and waist taken in. To my chagrin the security tag was still on it. I called up the Nordstrom Rack at 8am the next morning before starting work fully expecting to leave a message since they weren't supposed to open until 10am. To my surprise, a manager (think her name was Stephanie?) answered and I explained the situation. She asked me if I wanted to come in to get it taken off OR she could have a manager come by sometime to remove the tag. I of course, chose the latter and she said she would see what the schedule looked like and call me back. Less than 10 minutes later, she called back and said a manager could be at my home before 9am. Sure enough, he came before 9am, apologized and took off the tag. Nordstrom Customer Service is legendary and so is this Nordstrom Rack. I am blown away as is my family. read more

Michelle, the cashier helping was inattentive and quite rude. No greeting, just told me to head down to the 2nd to last register for my return while she was speaking with another employee. I was also picking up my order and I let her know. She didn't want to help me and it was apparent. Before asking why I was returning the item she scanned it, opened the box and told me I couldn't return it because the seal was opened. I let her know that was the reason for my return because there was no seal when Nordstrom sent it. Then she called her manager or whoever to ask for permission. I let her know I called Nordstrom and they stated I could return it at this location. As she was trying to dismiss me I reminded her I had a package. She retrieved my package but didn't offer a bag or anything. I see why this place has bad reviews on yelp. They need employees who like to help people. This lady is obviously just collecting a check. Why does Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack NOT care about their female customers? It happened again, but at a different location... men are allowed to use the women's dressing room!!! Why! WTF! Can someone tell me why corporate thinks this is a good idea? Please don't tell me that this is a growing trend. This is about protecting women who are at their most vulnerable state... we are literally getting undressed and men have access to look and do god knows what, bc they can easily peek over or under the dividers. I was also told by the cashier that "they" were expecting more backlash from women... I hope so. Very dissatisfied with this store. I come in to make a return and they put it on a gift card for me. I asked them to put it back on my debit but the sales associate couldn't see how much was spent without the receipt. I find the recipe and it's too late. Money is on the gift card. I ask her to fox it and she says there's nothing they can do. I ask to speak to the general manager and she says there is nothing she can do but refuse to come out and talk to me. Now I am stuck with a gift card that I can only use in store. For anyone else that works hard for their money this is also infuriating to them as well. Never coming back. After Nordstrom decided to close all their stores close to me, I've had to make returns at the Nordstrom racks. I sent my daughter into this location today to return a single beauty product. She came back out of the store and tells me "mom, I think she just didn't want to return it." So I went in. I was not greeted. I walked to the counter, was given dirty looks. Finally, an employee said how can I help you... which is funny because she wasn't even the one behind the register. I explained my daughter came in to return an item. She immediately said, we don't return beauty items. I advised them that they just returned two beauty products the week prior. She tried telling me to return them at the Nordstrom which the closest ones are in brea and Anaheim. This entire time all she did was give me dirty looks. Finally after basically arguing with me, she called her manager over. This 20 something year old girl wearing sweats comes over. Looking a hot mess with dirty hair and her hair wasn't even done. Contour caked on looked like dirt. I guess it's a running theme over there, because the cashier looked a hot mess too. Hair undone with thick unblended brassy "money pieces". I'm suprised that's a manager. She tried arguing with me as well, while the entire time the second employee in the beginning was behind them apologizing over and over again. I let her know that nobody ever asked for a manager when I returned beauty products, it was always hassle free. This chick behind the register tells me "didn't you just say...." Trying to mock me. I corrected her that they never asked for manager approval the passed week when they returned 2 foundations for being the wrong shade.. priced at $160 a piece. I finally said, will you return this and I'll never come back here again. She said she would, and still tried "telling me so." If you're returning it, I don't need to hear another word from you. They returned it, gave me my reciept and I said thank you. Neither one of them said you're welcome or anything. But I'm not suprised, because they have zero class and it shows. I'll never be back in this Nordstrom rack again. FOR NOTHING. Nordstrom, handle your employees and can them if you want your name to keep its value. I've never been treated like this in a Nordstrom ever. I hold a Nordstrom card in the highest tier. I came in initially in search of a Marc Jacobs backpack I've had my eye on for a while. This was on my way home so I stopped in just to check if by some miracle they had the backpack. Unfortunately I did not come across the backpack here they only had the ugly nylon ones. I would only recommend this particular location if you're looking for a great shoe selection. I ended up grabbing myself some cute Adidas workout shoes and my husband a pair of Nikes. They had such a huge variety of athletic shoes that I almost wanted every pair. I am pretty disappointed in Nordstroms rack in Ontario Mills mall. I purchased shoes at Nordstroms in Brea mall, at Nordstroms-!: I thought they were 69.00 and instead they were 169.00. So I looked them up online and it said they could be returned at Nordstroms rack. I had the shoes for three days and the lady that handled the return said they were used. Which they were not. She was so very rude and said I needed to take them back to Brea. I explained that they were only worn inside of Nordstroms. And that the Sandals would have had indentations if they were worn, where my feet were. She was not customer service oriented at all , and I was shocked by her lack of caring and her attitude . Thus store has a really friendly staff, I always find a green shirt to check me out so I don't have to wait in line. They have great sales, right now they have a 25% off things already on clearance. I went looking for shoes and the shoe area was a mess. There were at least four registers open, but the line was still long. Our cashier was very friendly and got us checked out quickly. Not pleased at all with this Nordstrom's Rack. They have a very nice selection of shoes, but customer service is horrible. I found a pair of shoes I wanted yesterday and took them to the register to purchase. While there I asked if they could check whether any other store carries the shoes in a half size bigger. The lady calls some guy and he comes and takes the shoes, promising to call me back if he found any. I told her I still wanted to purchase the shoes he was carrying, and she told me he knows it'll be on hold and he'll call me back. Um... Okay. About an hour and a half later without a phone call, my mom and I went back and figured we'd just purchase the shoes now since we live over an hour away (we were only in the area because we had to drop my boyfriend off at the airport). Apparently my shoes weren't on hold in the front or the back. There proceeded to be a two-hour manhunt for the shoes because somehow those shoes disappeared from the store. What gives?! So while my mom and I sat there waiting, I asked for phone numbers of other Nordstrom's Rack to try and find the shoes in the half size bigger since I assumed no one called for me. Three calls later, found a store that has the shoes and it's being shipped to me now. Very simple solution, and no one in the store was able to do it. Located at Ontario Mills, I came here with my husband this past Saturday night (thank goodness for the free WiFi. He surfs the net while I shop. By the way, if you have an iphone or the tablet/ ipod, etc. you can download the Nordstrom Rack app. It helps you to find any items that are in the store or another nearby location. So if you ended up not finding that dress or shirt in your size, you can see if there is one somewhere in the store or at another location). When I walked in here, I immediately walked towards the middle of the store for the shoes. Sometimes you get really lucky and find high end brands here for an excellent price (but you have to be willing to do the work and look). The size of this store is a pretty good size, which means many opportunities to score a great deal (but again, you gotta be willing to work for it). Was a bit disappointed though when I went to the small handbag section. There were plenty of Michael Kors bags (all locked up) and Kate Spade bags. Wasn't really anything else higher up.
