Tried to sell 2 figures to them both combined was around 150$ which was shown last sold online,…read morethey were only offering store credit and was only going to give me 60 dollars for both figures which is less than 40%!!! Most other business give 60% towards store credit so stay away from Retro loot if u have trade ins u will lose money!!

This has become my 10-year-old son's favorite retro store. We have visited about 10 times since…read morediscovering it this past summer. It has very good pricing and a great selection of games and consoles. Consoles generally range from the Atari VCS (2600) to seventh generation (360, DS, Wii, PS3). Consoles come with one controller and the attachments needed to hook the system up to a TV. The console software is pretty extensive, starting with the NES and running up through 7th gen. Most of the handheld is Gameboy and DS. Once again, their selection is rather well rounded. Some of the more premium titles are located in the display case back by the register. There are also some rare curiosities in the collection that were pleasant surprises ( I never expected to see a full catalog of Virtual Boy software on display anywhere ). Something to be aware of is that any retro purchases can sometimes not work out. We have had one GBA cart and an XBOX cd fail to start when trying out the software at home. The store has a very generous return policy. I believe as long as you bring back the title within 10, they will accept returns and exchanges. The staff is very friendly and will always try to help out. In our cases, the store gave us a direct exchange on the scratched XBOX disc after trying to repair it instore, and a full refund for the GBA game. The store also has other typical collections (Trading Card Games, Funko Pops and other figurines). These are not my area of expertise, so I can't comment on the selection or prices. Several arcade machines are set on free-to-play mode at the store entrance to round out the experience. If vintage video games are your thing, then Retro Loot is definitely worth checking out.

I stopped in at the Book Center was I was in Cumberland for a work meeting earlier this week. I…read morelove a bookstore and couldn't resist popping in for a browse. The store is very large, but with a sparse inventory. There are a few new books up front and then more used books (but it's definitely not as well stocked as most used bookstores I've been to) in the back. I was able to find something interesting and random that I'm sure I wouldn't have found anywhere else, and the customer service while checking out was great. The highlight of my visit was definitely petting Alice, the store cat. I woke her up from her cat nap on her cat couch, and we had a nice little cuddle session. She's a charmer for sure. Not a bad place to browse if you are in the neighborhood and have some time, but it's definitely not packed with books to browse through!

I love bookstores so I was excited to stop in by The Book Center. And I was so terribly…read moredisappointed. I walked in and the two people working didn't even acknowledge me. The selection of new releases was minimal at best, and though there are a lot of used books, I didn't find anything of interest. They do have a small section of local books (about the area or from area authors) but when I asked for help/recommendations, I was just led to a section and left there with no guidance. Sooooo unfortunately, only two stars. However, this place has a bookstore cat, Alice, and if I could give her 10 stars, I would. The main reason to come here, TBH.
