Travis is a solid, honest man who wants to do nothing but the best for his customers. If there has ever been an issue in the past with us (although minor), I have communicated with him and he has fixed the problem that exceeded my expectations. He has always gone out of his way to ensure I get exactly what I want with our butchering. He has handled our pigs, beef and we have purchases meat packs from him. Very solid and honorable business, I recommend him to everyone I know.

My mom and I asked for coleslaw on the sandwich but my brother didn't want it on his...so you would think they'd put it on the side because it's what we paid for, right? Just wait. They brought out our sandwiches...sigh. The meat was dry and lukewarm, not very much sauce, and my bread was wet and soggy (no, not with sauce). My mom said her beef brisket was tough and chewy - also, not much sauce. Neither of us could taste the coleslaw, it's a vinegar based dressing (which I totally prefer over mayonnaise) so it was disappointing that it tasted more like raw, crunchy vegetables on top of dry, lukewarm meat. Remember my brother didn't want the coleslaw on top of his sandwich? Ya, they didn't even give him any coleslaw at all. He's the the type that doesn't like to complain (even though it wasn't his fault) about something when it comes to a restaurant. Also, we were asked about three times how our food was - one of the girls got all snarky because we said it was okay. That being my review I will now say that I am from Texas, so I've had my fair share of BBQ. You can get a big, juicy pulled pork sandwich for about $6.00 and it's delicious! Then there's this place where it's $8.00 for below average BBQ that was made with high quality meat from "The Butcher Shop!" What a bummer, I'm NOT recommending this place to anyone.

We had decided to visit a winery in the Applegate area and as we passed the market there were signs advertising a special price on chicken breasts. So on our return trip I stopped because they always had (IMOP) the best chicken around. At the meat counter the signs were also there but I was not able to find a clerk. However, I found a couple packaged breasts and went to the check out. Now I haven't been back there in at least 8 years. I always knew this store as a friendly helpful, and honest place. Up front I discovered there was a two lane Self Checkout stand. There I noticed the price per pound was not as advertised. So I told the "clerk" so he could explain, or adjust and he said "I'll get my manager". He returned with an even younger person (manager?) who asked "what is the problem" then after mentioning the price difference he said something quickly, and pointed to the back and scurried off. Meanwhile while waiting at the checkout stand a woman said " there's no open registers", then the attendant motioned to the one I was at and told her to use this one. I started to question then was told " he went to back". No explanation, no customer service, no response. I asked again where he was and only received a shrug of shoulders.
