I was super skeptical when we got here: It gave off a kitschy vibe, but we tried nonetheless. Calamari was perfect: hot, seasoned, and Crispy! Our salads and pasta were equally delicious. We loved the comp. bread, but our favorite by far was that they didn't skimp on our alcoholic beverages: tasty and topped up! We saw lots families and a work group here, but Def recommend a date night here!

My wife HATES when I take her to Caruso's Grocery. Why? It's not the ambience - Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin crooning softly in the background. It's not the service - friendly wait staff who know the menu inside and out. It's not the food - this last time we got the calamari (perfectly fried, crispy and tender), I got the chicken parmesan - a nice flat chicken filet, but still tender and tasty with a nice side of spaghetti, and she got the caesar salad with sliced grilled chicken breast. The food, as usual was fantastic. But my wife hates it when the waiter brings us the canoli (we were celebrating two events, so he brought us two canolis with little candles) and I inevitably say, "Leave the gun, take the canoli!" before I dig into the perfect crispy shell and soft, creamy filling. Usually she says something like "You're lucky there's no gun here" while she's rolling her eyes. Thank you, Caruso's - since your food is so good, my wife tolerates my Godfather quotes. And that's something to appreciate!

First visit. Fried calamari is nice, not greasy. Bright calamari sauce along w good lemony tartar sauce style. Mushroom cavatelli Alfredo truly shines here. they do aalredo perfectly. Eggplant rollatini has nice sauce. To me, it is very hard to find a good eggplant parmesan place Food came out really hot for a while, that is rare to find. This place is a keeper.

    LINGUINI IN CLAM SAUCE

OMG!! This experience was amazing. The ambiance was great. It made you feel like you were in an authentic classic Italian restaurant in Italy. The lights dim, classic Italian music playing in the background with great pictures on the wall of their history. The service was impeccable. Our waitress was very knowledgeable, friendly, and very attentive. Since it was our first time at this restaurant we asked her what items she suggested on the menu and went with her suggestions which did not disappoint. The food was delicious. I ordered the trout piccata which was very flavorful with different components. I also ordered the linguini on the side which was cooked to perfection. We also orders the calamari which was the best calamari I've had in a very long time. The food was simply amazing. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. Between the ambiance, service, and food it left very little to be desired. If you are in the area, I would 100% recommend trying this restaurant if you want an authentic Italian dinner. I will be back very soon.

Caruso's Grocery has officially become our weekly spot, and the reason starts with Valeria, the General Manager. We had visited a while back and didn't have the best experience. Instead of brushing it off, Valeria personally invited us back -- and wow, what a difference. That kind of accountability alone speaks volumes, but the experience that followed truly blew us away. From the moment we walked in, Valeria made everything feel warm, welcoming, and genuinely special. She was friendly, approachable, and such a pleasure to talk to. While we were enjoying our meal, we watched her doing everything -- setting tables, clearing tables, helping servers, checking on guests. Having worked in restaurants myself, I can confidently say she is the kind of manager you dream of having. Rare, hands-on, compassionate, and clearly leading by example. An absolute delight. And the food? Incredible. Truly outstanding. We had: * Seafood Diablo (extra spice) -- bold, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor * Chicken Alfredo -- rich, comforting, and done just right * Meatballs -- unbelievably good * And a special limoncello shot that was the perfect finishing touch -- so refreshing and delicious Everything across the board was excellent and more than made up for our first visit. Our server, Deanna, was great as well -- attentive, friendly, and made the meal even better. Between the phenomenal food and the incredible leadership and hospitality from Valeria, this place has completely won us over. We will absolutely always be back. If you're looking for amazing food and an atmosphere that makes you feel genuinely cared for, Caruso's Grocery -- and Valeria -- are it.

Made a reservation on Opentable for evening birthday dinner for 2. There's a parking garage next door with free parking up to 2 hours so that's great. Service was awesome, our server Rob level set expectations as soon as we sat down and let us know the chef was in house and marking all pasta dishes to order. I asked about a few of the summer specials and he was able to provide great recommendations. All our times came out within a reasonable amount of time. We ordered: Fried calamari Shrimp scampi Arugula pesto orecchiette with chicken sausage Espresso martinis with Kahluha Bottle of Aragosta Prosecco Everything was delicious, very fresh, and rich with flavor. Prices were reasonable and the portions were big enough to share. They went out of their way to recognize my partner's birthday, first with a happy birthday sign and closing with a celebratory cannoli with a candle. I'll definitely come back to try other dishes and experience that level of hospitality again.

The chicken PARMIGIANA left me soooo satisfied! best meal I've ever tried at this restaurant by FAR. the semolina dusted calamari was also very delicious. WE did try the drinks ( espresso martini, Mediterranean margarita) but I felt like I should have just stuck to water because it was a very feeling meal. Service was great, we didn't see our server much but it was a busy night so it was understandable. I love the decor and the low lighting, a perfect date night spot. Will be returning again :)

    Tricolore Salad

There were two people waiting in front at opening. Was quickly greeted and seated. The setting looked modern. There were multiple choices on the three-courses menu for the $25 Restaurant Week lunch. The Tricolore Salad was a healthy dish. The Spicy Neapolitan Ragu was well made and presented. The Crema Bruciata was very delicious.

You should really start with the calamari served with traditional marinara and bonus lemon aioli. We loved the aioli so much we had to ask for more! I have a tendency to order salmon no matter where I go, simply because I like fish. I was pleased to see trout on the menu and I did not regret my order. Perfectly done with delicious steamed vegetables. You know you've had a great meal when you still think about it the next day. This is what I'm doing. I would so have the same dish right now again for a second day in a row! Service was fantastic. Our reservations were for 5:00 p.m. on a Saturday night and it was nice and quiet until 6:00 rolled around. With all the dining patrons at this hour, the noise level rose tremendously and we had to speak with raised voices. That's always a turn off for me.

We checked out this restaurant for a birthday lunch and had a great time! We started off with the garlic bread, which was good. I got the shrimp scampi which had wonderful flavor, but the pasta was a bit overcooked for me. I still enjoyed my pasta and finished the dish. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and we left full.

    Creamy Burrata

Caruso's Grocery offers a cozy, nostalgic vibe with plenty to enjoy. The burrata appetizer and gnocchi were both especially tasty, and the margarita was well-balanced and refreshing. The only downside is that the multiple menus can be a bit confusing at first. Overall, a solid spot with great flavors and a charming atmosphere.

    SEAFOOD FRA DIAVOLO
    Jess L.

It's average. Foods mid at best, service is good. There is free 2 hour parking in the garages. Came with a friend on a Friday night w/ reservations. Don't order the wine - they're all $10 bottles going for $60... what's that about? I got a limoncello cocktail which was good. For dinner I got the seafood fra Diavolo, the sauce was watery and not spicy at all... after the waiter asked if I liked spicy and I said yes? You can see the watery sauce in my picture. There is a nice amount of seafood in it but the taste is meh. My friend got eggplant parm... it was actually okay just plain. Nothing special. This just isn't good Italian, it's fine, which to me, is bad. I wouldn't go back.

We had a 6:30 reservation on Saturday and arrived around 6:15. After checking in, the hostess told us to either head to the bar or come back when it was exactly 6:30. A bit odd, right? It got stranger when we saw four other parties being seated before us. I really blame the hostess for this, as when I returned to check in later and a different staff member was at the desk, he seated us immediately. I even overheard him asking her why we were just sitting there, so -1 star for that weird interaction. The food was good! We started with calamari, which I liked, and the pasta was also great. Is it something I've never tasted before? Probably not, but it was still delicious. The drinks were fantastic - I'd definitely recommend coming here for happy hour. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, which we really appreciated. Would I come back? Absolutely. It's a great spot for a date, family dinner, or even a casual work dinner.

We did not do an entire tasting so we only tried 3 wines which were complimentary and then we headed to the bar for happy hour. At happy hour we were greeted by the friendly bar tender. He explained their menu and we chose to order the Bee's Knees for a drink. I tried it with whisky instead of gin which was just as great. For food I ordered the Tempura shrimp and the Oxtail Quesadillas. The flavoring of the tempura shrimp was phenomenal and the oxtail quesadillas were delicious with their different flavors. As wine club members we were able to redeem our two dine in bottles. If you didn't know you can have them pour wine from those bottles and then have them corked so you can take them home if you can't finish it at your table. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere that's perfect for a weekend brunch, date, or catching up with friends. The service was friendly, and everything came out fresh and well-prepared. We started with the Toffee Walnut Pull Apart Bread, and it was easily one of my favorite dishes. The buttery, flaky cinnamon-sugar bites with toffee sauce, candied walnuts, coffee crumble, and maple cream were the perfect balance of sweet without being overwhelming. The Charcuterie Board was another standout. It featured Cabot Clothbound cheddar, Prosciutto di Parma, and Fra' Mani Soppressata, making it a great option to share while enjoying a glass of wine. For appetizers, the Crispy Brussels were packed with flavor. The kung pao vinaigrette, toasted sesame seeds, and cashews gave them the perfect combination of crunch and sweetness. For entrées, we ordered the Winemaker's Breakfast and the Steak Frites. The breakfast came with sunny-side-up eggs, herbed hashbrowns, chicken apple sausage, fig jam, buttered sourdough toast, and fresh fruit. The Steak Frites were cooked well and served with chimichurri, crispy fries, roasted garlic rosemary aioli, and aleppo-mustard seed ketchup. One of the things that makes Sixty Vines unique is their selection of over 60 wines on tap. I opted for the DAOU Pinot Noir, which paired perfectly with the meal. As for drinks, my favorites were the First Crush Martini, The Slipstream, and especially the Frozen Espresso Martini--it's absolutely worth ordering if you visit. Overall, I had a great brunch experience and would definitely come back.
