Work nearby and recently tried for the first time for happy hour. Got a very reasonably priced and tasty bottle of California red accompanied by the Brie and prosciutto crossaint. The crossaint didn't taste quite as fresh as some of the other nearby bakeries but it was good nonetheless and the overall preparation and taste was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff inside also.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely be back as it's a nice low key place to meet and socialize.

Excellent little place and find for the neighborhood. Great staff and services had the tuna over mashed potatoes and the seared tuna. Not pictured is Lethe de Tigre which was incredible.

Back with more delicious eats to share, including sangria, the best coffee in the area, and new dishes! One of my favorites is the new shrimp tostada. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Going to keep coming back to try all the menu options and to enjoy good vibes!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Don't pass this one up. Easy parking at metro on the weekends or a nearby lot with easy access. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place to also work if you need a good strong coffee and a chill place to knock out your to dos.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Cheers!

If you want the best ceviche in the area, Downtown Brews will deliver, amongst many other things. This place had an amazing vibe, great service, and delicious food. I tried the cider they had on draft which was the best, and I don't usually drink ciders, but it was the perfect level of sweet and crisp. For snacks, we tried the chicken causa and octopus causa, topped with ceviche, both phenomenal. Loved everything about Downtown Brews and can't wait to be back.

Chef Luis is amazing in this very cool understated beer/wine shop and cafe. Excellent coffee, beer on tap and homemade sangria that beats all the Spanish places in Rockville. But the food! Great menu of high-quality tapas, ceviche, causa and artisan sandwiches! Today I had the causa trio and it WOW'd me just like everything I've had here over the past six months. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Friendly service and laid back vibe thanks in part to the music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Awesome place ! Came after the trek store to check it out. Sat down and had dinner . Met the owner Juan. What a great guy. Spoke about the store and other topics. Great vibes.

Found this new place in Rockville MD. High end Peruvian dishes. Current menu is focused On light fare. Also offer coffee and desserts, wine and beer to go.

    Mixto Ceviche! Yes.

Well. I've had ceviche in Portugal, Spain and Puerto Rico. This presentation was not only beautiful but had some amazing add ons. Crunch, smoothness and complementing flavors on the side. I had, and highly recommend the Mixto. So glad I will be coming back!!

Thank you to Caruso's Grocery for hosting my granddaughter's 16th birthday dinner. A huge shout out…read moreto Patrick, the event coordinator from Caruso's who helped me in every aspect of planning this special event. The food was delicious. The group was given a choice of appetizers: meatballs, basil and tomato caprese salad, dinner salad, or garlic bread. Each of the appetizers were better than the next. The girls shared the meatballs, garlic bread, and caprese salad. Thank you to our server for bringing out gluten free bread for one of our guests with a gluten allergy. Our main dishes was the shrimp scampi, which was full of flavor and so tasty. There were several of us who ordered the shrimp scampi and you could hear a chorus of oohs and aah's. We loved every bite. I am pleased to share that Caruso's has gluten free pasta for guests with gluten allergies. And, the gluten free pasta was scrumptious. The birthday girl had chicken parmigiana and a side of spaghetti. She really enjoyed her meal. Another, guest had the penne pasta and she loved hers too. There portions were very generous. We also had a guest order the Caesar salad with shrimp. It came out with dressing, when the dressing was supposed to be on the side, but our waiter was quick to remedy that. The ambiance is lovely and reminds me of my grandmother's home in Little Italy. It is old world Italian with comfortable seating. I know it was a busy night, but the one fly in our ointment was our server. There was too much of a lag between courses, and main dishes came out of the kitchen at different times. Also, our gluten free guest had to sit and watch while others ate cake because her ice cream sundae was no where to be found. It finally made it to the table, but I felt badly for this young lady. I know our server was swamped with guests. Hopefully, next time a large party is on the schedule, they can lighten the load for that server. All of the girls had a good time including the birthday girl. So, I am reminded of the saying, it all works out in the end. Thank you, Caruso's.

Tried the Lemon Ricota Donuts--they were just okay, a bit too doughy for my preference.

We did not do an entire tasting so we only tried 3 wines which were complimentary and then we headed to the bar for happy hour. At happy hour we were greeted by the friendly bar tender. He explained their menu and we chose to order the Bee's Knees for a drink. I tried it with whisky instead of gin which was just as great. For food I ordered the Tempura shrimp and the Oxtail Quesadillas. The flavoring of the tempura shrimp was phenomenal and the oxtail quesadillas were delicious with their different flavors. As wine club members we were able to redeem our two dine in bottles. If you didn't know you can have them pour wine from those bottles and then have them corked so you can take them home if you can't finish it at your table. For our dine in bottles we chose the Gold Rush which a very savory wine. A little too dry for me but I still enjoyed it. Overall, what a great experience as always.
