She told us only cash or Zelle and pointed to an atm that was out of service so we had to scramble and try to work with the horrible connection to send them their money. After 10 mins it finally went through but I don't understand why in 2026 a business does not have a credit card machine and if you're going to point me to the atm at least make sure it's working. the cherry on top was that the "happy birthday ivy" I asked her to write on the cake was very sloppily done. I don't care if the cake is the best I've had I will not spend another dollar here... my suggestion is to make check out much quicker and simpler and to have employees who are nice to customers and who speak English

When others left the long strip of stores from Sunrise Highway up to Boundary Avenue, Francesco's opened two stores in different spots on Broadway, closed the other and kept this one active. Sevaroli's is long gone. Oreste Bakery is long gone. For a few years there is also Bestever at the far south end of Broadway, but its not as traditional Italian. Francesco's is here If you want good selections of fresh made Italian pastry, cannoli, just baked cakes, bread, biscotti, and butter cookies. This is a friendly small town local shop with local people working. Stopped in seeing lights on, decorating being done inside and outside on the windows, baking in the back etc... and the most Gingerbread Houses ever seen, then realized they were being courteous when I asked if they were closing soon. The staff assured us it would arrive early, around 11:00 a.m. However, by 1:00 p.m. on our wedding day, the cake still hadn't arrived. When we called the bakery, they told us they couldn't get in touch with the driver. It took another hour before they realized the driver never had the cake and that it had been left at the bakery the entire time. At that point, it was around 2:30 p.m. Not only was this incredibly frustrating, but it also caused unnecessary stress on our wedding day--something no couple should have to deal with. Unfortunately, we had to pick up the wedding cake ourselves. Since then, we've spent the past week trying to get in contact with someone to address what happened, with no success. I asked for the owner's phone number and left a voicemail two days ago, but still haven't received any response. Overall, this was a VERY disappointing experience. I would NOT recommend anyone to order from this bakery.
