I hadn't been in the area in a while and wanted a rainbow cookie from Chonky Cookies. When I noticed it no longer existed. Fast forward, It was Christmas Eve and I was looking for a bakery to pick up a dessert to bring to my dads. I bought the Tres Leches cake which was topped with fruit. Different from other Tres Leches cakes but delicious none the less. On another day my son surprised me with cake pops & a mini cheesecake. All very good. I reached out for a special order for my cousins pink Christmas themed baby shower. Mike made me an absolutely gorgeous pink gingerbread house and the classiest white tree cookies with pink and gold accents. Everyone at the party was floored by the gingerbread house!! It's currently VERY hard to find vegan dessert options on Long Island (or anywhere, really). Last week, my girlfriend's Mom and I made a tag team effort to find the best vegan birthday cake we could find, and Terry at Madame Butterfly Cakes came through perfectly. We ordered a Vegan Red Velvet Birthday Cake and a half-dozen "shuga pies" - I picked them up yesterday and Terry's service and product were both EXCELLENT. We surprised her with them today and both the cake and the shuga pies were otherworldly good. I have had a LOT of vegan desserts over the past few years, and I have to honestly say, this were the best vegan desserts I have ever had. I would give them more stars if I could. Well, that is NOT the case with Baked by Emily Rose. Not only did we love the cake, but several of our guests said that it was the best wedding cake they've ever had. Also, the cakes were gorgeous. Emily used real white roses to garnish the top. It looked amazing. My only regret is that we were unable to take pictures.
