I loved this bakery! It was very clean and the pastries are so beautiful. It smells like heaven…read more I got the almond croissant- I wish I got some for later too. So delicious. The staff is very friendly and patient as well. I would definitely recommend this bakery.

I had ordered blue birthday frosting decorations. Well, upon pick up I opened the box to inspect. It all looked good but the decorating could have been a little more. I mean not to question their strengths or weakness, but it could have used a little fluff rather than just a cluster of blue roses in the in upper left corner and Happy Birthday A_____w. It was half sheet cake with lots of space to work with. Anyways, when it came time to cut the cake for service, the cake crumbled under the weight of the knife. I was overseeing the process and the cake cutter was trying his best to achieve a decent portion intact, but with litte success. I immediately tasted the cake before it went my 40 person party. It was moist and flavorful but it crumbled to the touch. I couldn't put my finger on what was causing it, I felt like something was maybe missing from the recipe. It was later in the day when it came to me the answer to my problem. The cake it self had been made fresh, then frozen, thawed out, frosted and decorated. The freezing of the cake made it crumble at time of service. Very disappointing. I didn't last minute order this cake, so why they used frozen cake for my order I cannot understand. Convenience for them I guess, but I was not informed that previously frozen cake would be an option. Each and every piece of cake just crumbled on the plate and presentation was horrible. We were stuck with an inferior cake. I will not be returning to this bakery.

A little disappointed with my coffee. It had that coffee pot taste. A French pastry of this caliber…read moreshould have percolated coffee. Something about coffee cooked for a long period of time actually gives it that "rich smooth taste". I ordered their raspberry cheese cake. It was actually delicious but the portion was a bit smaller than what I was expecting. Atmosphere inside comfortable and active with new patrons walking in. I opted to sit outside which made me feel like I was in NYC at a ritzy Cafe next to Central Park. It was quieter and relaxing. *Parking lot is Huge and shared with other stores. Use exit number 3 for a traffic light to cross over Wantauh Avenue. *Bathrooms; are two and both co-ed. *Final thoughts Pardon my "FRENCH" but the French Workshop was just ok for me. They didnt have scoopable ice-cream on hand which would have been nice next to my cake and their coffee wasn't on par in regards to a "RICH BOLD TASTE". No free coffee refills, no porcelain cup, and no silverware. The only metal your going to get is the steel tray your desert comes on. Perhaps something to consider ? *The Review Guru Long Island NY

Very cute, bright and sophisticated French bakery that operates more like a cafe. And they have a few vegan options! Don't expect macarons nor tarts, but that blueberry croissant I had was so delicious. It was more of a whole grain pastry than a traditional buttery croissant but because the blueberry filling was so sweet, I was happy for a less decadent pastry. I love that they have a nice array of coffee and matcha drinks too. I'm pretty sure the word has been out for some time now, but when that Starbucks line in the parking lot is just too much, The French Workshop is a better option (however, on a rainy Saturday in May, that line inside was considerable. People know what's good!) There's plenty of seating, too and if you are good at pretending, you almost feel you're in Europe (ignore the suburban strip mall that surrounds you).
