I have never bought a vehicle sight unseen and, never will again. Carz Planet offers a bunch of hype nothing else. Almost four months ago I purchased a 2016 Ford F 250 6.7 diesel with 100,000 miles on it which is practically nothing for a diesel engine, had the pickup for a week and, the motor threw a rod essentially ruined the block. My truck has been in the shop since then we have been dealing with the warranty company which has been horrendous. Never will I ever buy a car from Carz Planet again. read more

Just do yourself a favor and take a mechanic when you buy a car even if they tell you is in excellent condition. Please do yourself a favor, skip this place when looking to buy. I am in the market for a used truck and have shopped the internet hard over the last week. I read the reviews, but wanted to see two trucks they had advertised. I knew their stock better than they did. Throughout afternoon the prices kept changing, and were higher than advertised on both their website and CL. Got to deal with 3 different sales folks, and a manager. They even attempted to make me feel guilty for driving 5 trucks and "spending like 30 bucks in diesel just test driving, you can't do that and not buy something." They offered me 10k below trade in value for my current truck and tried to explain how it wasn't very desirable in the current market. Did I mention I'd been shopping? I had two other trade in offers in hand... just wanted to low ball me to make a buck, guess you can't blame a guy for that?! When I said no deal and thanked them for their time, I was countered insults. It kinda felt like I was being bullied in the school yard. And the profanity used during my 2 1/2 hours with this sales team was over the top and uncalled for. (says a retired 20+ year Army guy). When I finally decided it was time to end my interactions with the folks at Carz, I pretty much had to demand they give me my keys and driver's license back so I could leave. As I drove off of the lot three different folks stood in front of my truck and made stop. They then made yet another attempt at getting me go buy a truck I wasn't interested in before yet again insulting me. Came here with a neighbor who is recently divorced. Apparently she was told her trade value was guaranteed all she needed to do was bring the car in for a test drive. HOLY @&%*. This might be the shadiest car dealer in Oregon. After an apparently in depth inspection (10 minutes) they offered half of the original guaranteed price. Forget that there was nothing wrong with the car. Forget that the price for the new truck was $5k too high. This is a straight up 70's Slick Rick con artist car lot. They actually got aggressive. Sent a text about a truck - got some weird message back not answering any of my questions, said something about loving my uncle (no idea what that means). I then went on to fill out their 'trade in offer' website as I was curious to what their trade in offer would be for the truck I own. I got a call back right away and as soon as I said I was not sure if I was going to trade my truck in, the tone changed immediately. I then said I had already written him about a truck he has posted everywhere (literally every major city in a 5 state radius) and he (Blake) again was cheery until I told him that after looking at the ad, the truck I had been interested in was WAY to highly priced for what it was and he was immediately rude, didn't even bother to ask what I was looking for and made some snarky comment before ending the call. Where do I begin, oh I know let's start with the old, senile, rotten old man Blake that answers the phone, wow a deaf,dumb,blind, rat could do his job (which isn't to far off). Then there's the zero customer service after you buy the vehicle which they have just ripped you off on with band aids to get you 100 miles before everything turns to pure crap. Then there was the blatant racism I saw against one of their own Latin American employees. They tried to include me in that laugh but it was appalling. Very pleasant experience of having changed between 3 different sales associates (Shame-us, Kevin, and Rami). I enjoyed talking with Kevin, which he was abruptly called into his boss' office. After he exited the office, he said that he quit. It was very surprising, and a look of indignation was seen across his face. DO NOT BUY HERE!! How this dealers is legally still in business is beyond me. They would sell you their own children if they had paperwork for them. Slimy sales techniques and even slimier people. They are a team of trained liars working towards the same goal, to rip you off. They won't return your keys and vehicle when they "check" your trade in. The folks at Carz Planet were great. The purchase process was fast and easy. The 'tactics' were a little old school but I'm ok with that because at the end of the day everything worked out just the way I wanted it to. They made promises that were not documented yet they fulfilled them all. I was very pleased. On a side note. I read all of the reviews AFTER I bought my vehicle but before the promises were completed. I'm not going to lie, I was extremely nervous. I thought for sure I was another victim like some of the previous reviewers. I was postured for a long fight with this car lot. HOWEVER... it was all for nothing in my case. Got a Jeep like I wanted! They had a good selection. Faster than most car lots I had been to with the process. I had 2 cats and the salesman drove one home for me. The paperwork was quicker than most dealerships. Kid friendly. I like that their inventory is more unique. As in they have some of the hard to find quality stuff. Nice sales people not alot of pressure there. Got a good deal finance wise. Lower payments and down payments. They worked hard to find me a good financer. I didn't get the banks don't like to finance those pitches like I did at Tonkin and Gladstone Mits. Get what you want! read more

Been watching Mustang prices on CL and saw these guys had a 2012 V-6 Premium listed for $12995 or whatever their last three digits are. It did not sell at that price so what did they do? They raised it to $13995. It still did not sell, which is obvious, so what was their next move? They jacked the price up to $14995. Yikes! Now the Mustang is out of inventory. I doubt they sold it retail and had to auction it off at a dealer wholesale auction for $8K at best. Why not just drop the price, make a sale and do something about reversing these 1-star ratings that are piling up? In the meantime, a vehicle which had been sitting for at least three months turned into dead money sitting. Given how competitive the PDX market is, this business is not competing very well with their prices nor their business practices. When the customers run out, so does the flow of money. read more

If I could give zero stars I would! If you have a trade for them to look over- DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR KEYS. Walk them through the inspection or make sure you get your keys back immediately after. I fully understand deals do not work out and I knew very early into the conversation this was the case- they just didn't want to budge on the vehicle I was interested in (a 'discounted' pick up that was overpriced by about $6k to begin with). I told the sales person I was going to continue shopping and would like my keys back after their first offer on my trade-in. I was met with 'let's just run some more numbers and see what we can make happen'. (First request for my keys back- he had left them in one of the offices with the finance guy.) We sat down again and he threw out some more numbers. 2 times during this conversation I expressed I would like my keys so I could leave. He then asked what number would get the deal done- so I threw out a number I knew wouldn't happen, but if it did- cool. I again said if this wasn't going to work, it was ok and I would continue shopping. He disappeared into the finance guys' office and then the finance guy comes out and says, "I'm confused, you want this much for your trade and you expect me to drop money off the purchase." I told him I understood it was something they probably couldn't do and if that was the case I would like to leave. I am not in a hurry and didn't need that specific pickup. He looked at me and sternly said, "You don't have to be rude!" I was genuinely taken aback by this because I did not intend to be rude and felt I was composing myself quite well for having asked for my keys numerous times without getting them. I told him, "I'm not being rude," to which he replied, "What you just said sounded very rude." I told him that was not my intent and I simply just wanted to leave knowing we weren't going to make a deal. He said, "If you want to leave no one is keeping you here, just leave." Are you kidding me?! I had to say AGAIN- you have my keys! He walked into his office, came back, threw my keys on the table and in an incredibly condescending tone said, "Here are you keys I hope you have a wonderful day." So- all of that being said, DON'T let them have your keys! I'm cool with a salesman scheme or two, but there is no excuse not to return someone's keys when asked. I am a woman and was there alone. I rolled into Carz Planet unannounced and their staff was happy to accommodate me and help me find a vehicle in their inventory. They had a few choices and were very patient with the process. They even had a couple different options as far as financing. Tye (Spelling?) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I went to carz planet because I wanted the big red ram3500 that you see being shown on the front of their lot and on their website logo. They literally wasted two and a half days of my time having me come in because the deal was done, only to find out that the deal was not done or that it was with terms that I had already told them were unacceptable. They tried to press every other truck they had on me and every single one of them had issues that they would downplay to the fullest. They literally cleared the codes to turn a check engine light off right in front of me! Their quality is crap and their entire team sucks! Minus Dylan, Dylan you're cool, you just associate with the wrong group of people. You gotta ditch Doug and all them other losers. Carz planet is the most dishonest and slimy dealership. They sure know how to put lipstick on a pig. I ended up climbing under the big red dodge and the entire frame is rusting bad (like unrepairable), they had just spray painted it black to hide it and called it good! Saw a ad on Craigslist in my area called to check the price and reached some service manager or something and the guy was so rude from the start. From the beginning of the call the car the guy was like this cars real expensive and began to give me a whole ear full about dealers putting on new tires vehicles before giving me the price lol he then said they have no warranty period and don't offer a warranty and no point of getting a warranty because these cars have already been inspected and he's the service manager and never hears anything about cars with problems. He then said he I have another call got to call and I said this is how you do business he said ok let me put you on hold he then didn't put me on hold and asked what other questions I have and when I asked location told me it then hung up the phone. So after putting $5,000 grand down payment , having the water pump go out , the power steering and the hydroboost go out in less than 2 weeks of owning this vehicle we literally put $9,000 grand into this thing . We have now made two payments and this truck is a fuckin lemon . The manager did contact my husband back and said they could send us a $150.00 check for our inconvenience....which is crap but hey it was something right ? Wrong we never ever saw that fuckin check . They are liars and don't believe them when they say that they have a mechanic look at their vehicles. Took the truck in to the ford dealership for an oil change today and found a whole bunch of other issues . Hopefully we can trade this thing in for a vehicle with way less problems. Crooks ! We saw a truck online we were interested in. We asked for more pictures. After they posted more pictures on their website we set up a time to come look at it. We let them know we were a few hours away. They failed to disclose that the truck literally has "poop d*ck" on the front bumper. (Not shown in their pictures or disclosed). We looked it over and found the interior was all covered in sticker coverings. Also not disclosed. Now I should mention I went here because I have not so great credit. And because they advertise themselves as "all credit approved" it leads to believe you will be approved. We decided we didn't want to apply for the truck as there were too many things we didn't like about it cosmetically for the price. The salesman said he wanted to show us what the numbers would look like if he could get the price down on it. I made it clear I didn't want my credit run. Which he assured me he wouldn't run it. Well no surprise he ran it anyway at the full price. We brought this up to him as we left and he argued with us about. Overall a terrible experience and waste of time. If you're looking for a dealership to help with poor credit scores or to at least be honest about what they're selling. This is not the place. read more

I give this a 1 start cuz I have to--they don't have a middle finger icon. My brother-in-law (a refugee from a war-torn country--and thus, not great at English) had cash in hand a was ready to buy a car, but he wanted new to come in and give him my opinion. So in we went. The same guy that he dealt with yesterday came out (Greg) and this guy was non stop chatty. He kept trying to double my bro-in-law's budget and move him into another car that he'd have to finance. Because I was there, I was able to shut him down and help my bro-in-law stay focused. The car we were on was a beautiful car, but there was oil all over the engine. We spent 20 min or so looking at it trying to figure out if it was an easy fix or complex. Some manager came out and started talking crap to Greg about how cheap we were being and that we expected to much for the money. I ignored him. While he was out there, we were trying to understand why the seatbelt light was on and discovered that the seatbelt was detached from the car. My bro-in-law was trying to reattach it when Greg came back and started kidding around about him trying to steal parts. I thought he was joking so I told my bro-in-law that we should leave, they were catching on to us.... A joke cuz clearly, we weren't stealing parts. After this, Greg gets pushy "So are you gonna buy the car or not?". I say "maybe" (I was leaning to buy it) and he says "Cuz I'm starting to get pissed!" I turned the car off realizing THIS NUT IS SERIOUS about that! I handed him the keys and told him to get pissed, I didn't care. And he starts asking us what parts we took off the car. Time to go. The truck I was looking at apparently had a full inspection done on it and when I pressed to take it for a third party inspection with my mechanic, they finally relented. Within 5 minutes into the inspection, it was found that the truck was in imminent danger of having major front end repairs. Went in checking out trucks. Started with one sales man (Rick or Rich), manager came out and introduced him self seemed nice. Got switched to a different salesman (Will) as I was telling them I had to leave to pick up my kid. Came back a couple hours later started working with salesman 2 then manager come over and I end up working with him. Sale just was not coming together they seemed to understand but they kept trying. They kept having to go in and I think call someone about the offers (manager said something about he responds as long as he's not golfing well mid swing) so the more I thought about it I just was not working. They did not want to come down on the truck which was high (33900.00 on a 27500.00 KBB price or about 30000.00 private party) and I get it my 99 7.3l is no diamond so I was saying I'm out we're just not meeting on this deal. THEN SALESMAN #4 inject hims self saying I don't understand the deal they came down from 38000.00 (number on the yellow tag was 33999.00 ish) and my truck was just not worth any thing (2k most) which I agree it's not worth a lot and they were over valuing it and it would go to auction (salesman before when I said that said oh no it will stay here we need cheap trucks too) so #4 is trying to spin numbers and tell me I don't know what's going on. Granted this is his first step into our deal. He's being very condescending so I say nope I'm done you just ruined this deal and he stars saying something and I respond noPE you just ruined this. So as I leave he starts hurling insults at me making comments about me and saying I'm irrational. I ask his name and he refused twice saying he doesn't have to give me his name and I'm now not welcome here anymore so against better judgement I told him he's being a real dick. Now he says "your trespassing and take your little 7.3 and get off my lot your trespassing" this is a guy who until 3 minutes before had not been involved with any interaction with me or the two main guys I was working with. They secured my financing with a reasonable down payment and I've had nothing go wrong with my truck. I nabbed a 2006 Ram 2500 5.9L. It runs excellent, great tires, and looks even better. BEWARE OF HIGH PRICES LEMONS!!! Where do I start, bought a GMC Sierra Denali truck from Carz Planet just over 3 months ago. Since then I have had multiple problems. First problem I ran into was the trailer brake service light kept popping up super annoying by the way. Second issue was the add coolant light kept popping up, my thinking not a big deal I can take care of these issues. Now 3 months down the line I have my truck that I paid $53000 for sitting in a shop to get the transmission rebuilt because that is going out also. I drove this truck off the lot, with no oil change done, no transmission serviced, and none of the basic needs for a truck taken care of. These guys sold me a $53000 truck that couldn't fit in the warranty and now I'm stuck with a $1000 payment and I can't even drive it without getting the transmission rebuilt first. What's the cost of that, well $6300. These guys are carz planet are very shady, they will sell you garbage and lose no sleep over it just within the legal limits of the law. Beware!!!! read more

I bought a truck from there knowing the issues. Thankfully I'm a mechanic and knew what I was signing up for. 3 days afterwards I found that the "mechanic" they bring their cars to is not a good one. And by that I mean I could hand a 5yr old some tools and expect a better job. Unfuntunately I don't remember the name but this isn't what the review is about. CARZ planet sells lemons. That is loud and clear from other reviews. Rami and Scott are nothing but POS scumbags that will do anything to get a sale. They lie and promise things that they will not follow through with. Rami is a creepy old man to be honest and Scott is extremely unprofessional and a liar. I have it written that I would receive a headlight for my truck due to it being cracked in half and after a few months I have STILL YET to revieve said headlight and yes I followed up multiple times on the matter and instead of them actually ordering it they stalled me for a week and finally got ahold of Scott and he wanted to argue about it. I really don't recommend this place in the slightest. Also doesn't feel very nice to pull up to a dealership and immediately get bombarded by multiple salesman. this dealership hides issues and tells you the car they are selling you is excellent shape. mechanics reset check engine lights without finding the problem, salesmen say just drive it for a while and it will probably reset on its own. Their warranty sucks and they won't give you a loaner while they have yours for days unless you make a big scene. read more
