Stopped bye here for there bean, cheese, n rice burrito and it was delicious ! I'm a huge fan of burritos so I've had many from many different spots and this one by far was my favorite one I've had :-) Besides the food being good the service was also very good, you can tell the employees really care about making it an overall good experience even if ur just placing a small to go order ! Will def be coming back to try the sopes !

One of the best hole in the wall mom and pops taqueria for homemade Mexican food. The owners make the food healthy for those that need to look out for our salt and sugar intake. They have so much flavor, really tasty agua frescas, and home made tortillas for the mouth watering quesadillas! Don't even get me started on the guisado plates before covid it was my favorite thing to sit down and eat a bunch here. Best to go now, they never forget napkins utensils and their bomb spicy salsa thank you for always taking care of me when i need a home made meal

Where is my steak and beans? My dinner plate looked nothing like the Instagram picture of carne asada plate. First these were canned beans not refried beans like their IG post. Lastly the steak was all membranous tendons all chewy and super thin. Nothing like a real carne asada it tasted terrible o flavor or seasoning and very little edible meat. Wow what a horrible dish. Even the taco I ordered had more asada steak than this dish.

I love this place!!!! Best Authentic REAL Mexican food. All homemade recipes. If you love supporting local restaurants you should most definitely support this family owned restaurant.

By definition.... "hole in the wall" is a small, very modest, unpretentious, often out of the way place.....now, throw in "cheap awesome tacos!" and you've got La Princesa Taqueria! I stumbled across this place a few months ago and have been stopping by for lunch at least a half dozen times since. They've got the usual assortment of tacos, burritos, tortas and even sopes. I've only had the tacos but they've been too damn tasty EVERY single time. You can choose from carnes asada, pastor, chicken, buche, chorizo and cabeza. You gotta try a chorizo taco and also the buche....yeah that's right....pig esophagus....go ahead and try one....a little pig esophagus never hurt nobody....I don't think.....Anyways, what else ya gonna do with your $1.08?! Sadly....no beer here....so grab an ice cold coke in a bottle or take your food to go! The wife even got a carne asada sope from here and ate it all up! so it can't be ALL bad =) Now, don't let the location fool ya...the run down strip mall and Azusa Swap Meet may not be the most inviting place to spend your lunch.....but....c'mon....live a little! try something new! And if you're feeling REEEALLY adventurous....check out the condom vending machine in the bathroom and "experience a galaxy of pleasure" ha! that thing cracks me up...not sure if it even functions....seriously, I don't!

    Sopes!!!

This place has great quality food for a cheap price, what else could you ask for!!! It does look sketchy, but in my experience the best taco joints come from mom and pop shops that are a whole in the wall. Don't let that keep you away, trust me, your going to like this place! My parents and brothers love this place, my dad likes the sopes, mom likes the pollo a la plancha, and my brothers always get the tacos and the burrito! Lol I can eat everything and anything, depends on my mood. So what do you say, come give this place a try and let me know what you think

The over easy eggs were swimming in oil as well as the potatoes. Everything was just oily. It's the type of place that I would be stoked finding it, if I was on a road trip driving from California through Texas (and through New Mexico). It just has that certain quality of authenticity or how you would imagine a Mexican spot like you see in the movies or something. I came in for a late lunch so I was the only one in the restaurant so the service was pretty quick. The menu is full of those combination classics that you would see at certain Mexican restaurants. I ended up ordering the three tacos dorados combo. I thought the food was great. Because it wasn't busy at the time parking was easy to find on the street. I parked right out front.

I recently visited Fonda Don Chon Mexican Buffet and unfortunately left feeling very disappointed,…read moreespecially regarding their policy for young children. The service was just okay, but what really bothered me was being charged $17 for my daughter, who is only 2 years old. She barely ate anything, just about two pieces of watermelon and a small bite of concha bread. For that amount of food, I found the $17 charge completely unreasonable. When I questioned the charge, the waiter explained that because the food was put on her plate rather than being fed to her directly by us, they considered her to have eaten from the buffet and charged the full $17. He also mentioned that management is watching the cameras to determine whether children are eating from the buffet. Honestly, I find this policy excessive. I understand that buffets need rules to prevent people from sharing food or taking advantage of the system, but charging $17 for a 2 year old who ate practically nothing seems unreasonable. There should be some sort of reduced price or reasonable policy for toddlers, especially when they consume such a small amount of food. The food may be worth trying, but because of this experience and the way the situation was handled, I would think twice before returning. A $17 charge for what my 2-year-old actually ate felt ridiculous and left a very negative impression
