"How do I love you?" let me count the ways. If I lived in the 1500's, I would be on a ship headed to the "New World". I have an adventurous spirit. For the most part I try new restaurants and only return to restaurants I have tried before upon occasion. Casa Arturo's is one of those Italian restaurants that I actually enjoy returning to at anytime. This is an intimate restaurant with about 30 tables in a narrow hall. It has comforting but lively decor. The staff and owner are very accommodating and grateful for your business. Service is quick. I stopped for my usual lunch/dinner around 2:3o pm. They offer you a delicious bread with butter. It's BYOB and I brought my own wine. There is no corking fee. I ordered the lunch special at $18.95. Cod with tomatoes. onions and a most excellent pan sauce. I find that sauce can make or break a dish. This was a white wine with oregano and lemon flavor. They have a large menu.

Our first visit to Casa Arturo Bistro in Little Falls was a real winner. The restaurant looks small from the street, but it's more spacious than you'd think before walking in. It definitely has a cozy feeling though and is a very pleasant place for relaxing dinner. The restaurant is a BYOB establishment, and they deftly opened our bottle of wine. I would have broken the cork for certain. For starters my father and I both had their version of Oysters Rockefeller. It included six oysters that were prepared with bacon, spinach onions and cream. While not strictly traditional it was absolutely delicious, and we'd order it again. The restaurant also serves Spiedini alla Romano, which you don't see often. We didn't get it this time, but we saw it being served and will definitely try it on our next visit. For entrees we ordered the Veal Francaise. It came with roasted potatoes and vegetables that were perfectly cooked. The veal was tender, and the Francaise sauce was flavorful with a proper lemony note. This is another dish we'll order again. The service was friendly and attentive. The prices are very reasonable. Casa Arturo Bistro is definitely worth a try.

Disappointed! Arrived at an hour that only had three couples present (about 4:30pm) and over six different servers all well dressed in uniforms. Attentive upon entry, but afterward it went down hill! They never asked if we wanted more to drink besides tap water, they were very slow to take our order as a matter of fact, I had to finally request service. They eventually were attentive, but sadly not at the level they should have been from the start. Service -1-! Food was terrific! So wish the servers would have been attentive as I so wanted to have a new place and thought this could be a place to go. Can't recommend this place in person -- maybe order takeout if you want good food. Plan ahead though cause it took LONG between items too.

Nice Sunday dinner with friends in this small but attentive Italian bistro. The dinner specials this evening were interesting and my friend tried one of them - the black ink linguini with mussels and lobster - excellent with a generous portion of lobster. The rest of us enjoyed our choices from their daily menu - gnocchi sorrentino, Salmone Griglia, Rib-Eye steaks and a nice chicken and vegetable dish. We enjoyed Spedini (great anchovy sauce) and calamari beforehand and afterwards they brought out frosted shot glasses for our limoncello and sambuca - nice touch! Dessert was OK - assortment of cakes and cheesecakes and cappuccinos. All-in-all, a very nice visit and we would certainly go back! Thanks Arturo's Bistro!

There are many reasons to love this place. The appetizers were amazing. The staff accommodating and the BYOB makes it an amazing deal. But the main courses are the real reason. The steak and fish dishes stand apart from most restaurants.

***3 1/2 stars*** Casa Arturo is less than a five-minute walk from where I live and I've driven by countless times; yesterday was the first time I ever honestly considered stopping by. For a restaurant that's right smack in the middle of a downtown, it's somehow a little under the radar, blending in with the other businesses in the building. Once I confirmed they were actually open for lunch, I wandered over and that was that. What a culture shock. I've always wondered where the locals went to lunch besides Maggie's down the street. This place was HOPPING, though admittedly the average age of the clientele was probably 60ish or so; there are white tablecloths but the dress code was pretty casual. The ceilings were also higher than I would have assumed, and it gave off a bit of a Versailles vibe with the way the wall was paneled (I'm sure there's a much more articulate term or phrase for that). Most of the spots were full but they were able to secure me a small table toward the back - confirming I was okay with a "middle" table, which I thought was classy. I'd had an underwhelming Italian dinner the night before so I wanted to rectify that as soon as possible. I went with the Gnocchi al Pomodoro Fresco e Basilica ($16ish), and of course some warm bread and oil. Honestly? I was more into the bread. It was the perfect texture/consistency - a nice crisp to the outside, and soft inside. I got a little pre-sliced loaf and it didn't last long. The gnocchi was okay; the sauce to me was by far the weak point. It REALLY needed the grated cheese that I requested when it showed up, and in hindsight I would have asked for about twice as much as I got. The sauce had chunks of tomato in it (not my favorite) and nothing else, so flavor was a bit of a problem. I like a sauce with some seasoning and a bit of meat in there. It's been a while since I struggled through giving a restaurant order in Florence, but Basilica should mean the inclusion of basil, which was super sparse. The gnocchi was good, but gnocchi always rocks. The service was decent. I've found in my lunchtime solo travels that restaurants tend to speed up the turnaround time for the dishes when it's just me, and I'm fine with that. It took a bit for the bread to show up, but the gnocchi came quickly, probably two minutes after that bread. They were also very busy - there was no wasted movement with the staff, which looked to be pretty limited for the amount of customers in there at the time. The one woman was constantly shuttling about with dishes, and found time to grate cheese over my entree and grab my card to process. Very efficient. I thought the price point was pretty decent as well, given the solid lunch portion I had. No issues there. Would I go out of my way to come back? Eh, probably not, especially given that this section of North Jersey is teeming with Italian spots (my favorite is probably E & V on the Totowa/Paterson border), but it was fine for what it was.

Casa Arturo is a lovely, medium-sized Italian restaurant on Main Street in Little Falls, NJ. The Bistro has high ceilings, traditional furniture, and a real home-feel to it. Service is so friendly and professional. The menu is standard Italian fare with nightly specials, and the food is very good. I'd recommend Casa Arturo for a nice night out with a small group, BYOB, and order your favorite old school entrees; you will not be disappointed!

There is a small little parking lot that can fit 4-5 cars right off the main road. Inside was decorated with cute Christmas decor, and the domestic violence scene from Godfather Part 1 casually playing on the TV while I'm trying to eat my food. Good variety of options of appetizers, small shared plates, pizza, fresh pasta, and entrées to choose from our group decided to split the popular pizza. Then everyone offended for themselves - our table ordered the gnocchi with pesto and chicken Milanese, chicken parmigiana with penne, Arancini, and the "focaccia"/house garlic bread. The Arancini was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft and luscious on the inside. The pizza was a perfect sweet and savory combo of burrata, prosciutto, and balsamic glaze. The pesto was a bit thin and ate a little soupier than I prefer. Buyer beware with the focaccia - although it's called focaccia, it's also listed under the pizzas so it was served thin and crispy like a pizza rather than thick and fluffy like we had been expecting. I would absolutely return again to try all the other dishes, especially the shared plates, different pizzas, and other fresh pasta offerings.

Rosa Morelli, the proprietor of Rosa's Italian Restaurant just happens to also be Our friends Mother-in-law so we all knew that we were in store for something special. Needless to say, the food was great. We started off with some fantastic and delicious appetizers, including a variety of homemade potato pizza (really good), prosciutto and mozzeralla, bruschetta, eggplant caponata, plus fruit and a variety of other tasty treats. The entrees (all served family style) including pappardelle with sausage in cream sauce, chicken francese, grilled shrimp over bracolli rabe and fusilli with vodka sauce. Amazing meal and Rosa and family could not have been nicer. Rosa's is a BYOB and there is street parking only. It is located less than a mile away from the Willowbrook Mall. By request, there was not too much meat served tonight because of the religious holiday (ash Wednesday). We ended the meal with some Italian pastries, a celebratory cake commemorating the occasion and tartufo. A great evening with long time friends and good food. Interesting note about Rosa's Italian Restaurant and Caterer. This restaurant is not generally open to the public. It is not a walk in restaurant. If you would like to come to Rosa's you have to pre-schedule your dinner in advance with at least 8 or more people (up to 40 according to Rosa) and Rosa will accommodate you. You can discuss selected entrees if you like but generally the meal will consist of the dishes that Rosa is making that day. That meal will consist of a large variety of great dishes prepared for your group and served family style. This is a very cool dining experience in a old school Italian neighborhood restaurant.
