Our meals are always very good, the service is usually outstanding. The prices are not cheap, but the old adage "you get what you pay for" is true here. Every once in a while I go here for lunch but most of the time its out of mind out of site even thou I drive by the restaurant so often. The atmosphere is up scale and the service most of the time is top notch but the food is a hit or miss. How can you have a dish called chicken Marsala with Portobello mushrooms but then load the entree up with onions and have like three small pieces of mushroom on the plate. This is the type of place you'd expect to go to for special celebrations. Surprisingly, the prices don't really reflect the great food or the white tablecloth ambience or top notch service. This is only the third time in many, many years that I've come away from a restaurant thinking that it was the BEST service imaginable. One of the other two times was also an Italian restaurant (in Metairie, LA, back in 2000). Italians know how to treat you right, apparently! Menu choices are quite ample. There is something for everyone. Tried the special appetizer of the night which was prosciutto wrapped honeydew melon. Your meal comes with a small bread assortment and fresh salad. Went for early dinner on Sunday. We were seated in dining room which was very nice but freezing cold. Waiter/bartender came to table just seconds after we were seated and wanted to place our appetizer order. We placed our order and our appetizers came out quickly. While the rice balls were very small....not worth $11.00....they even came out cold. Salad was good but it would have been nice if we were advised that our entrees all come with a salad. We took notice of this after we had placed our appetizer order. My vodka entree arrived and it was luke warm. Another person in our party ordered the veal parmigiana and it was very tough...3/4 of this dish went to waste. After we were served and almost through with eating, a lady came over to our table however it was too late to even mention how disappointed we were. We ordered coffee and once we received it our check was presented at the table. While I finished reviewing our check, I placed it down on the table and again the bartender/waiter came to take it so I had to let him know I was not ready. We just felt that we were rushed (and meanwhile) even when we were departing around five o'clock, there weren't many patrons in the restaurant. read more

My guests left full and happy and the price for a party of that size was very reasonable - especially for the portion sizes in an upscale environment! I have dined at Casa Bellissima multiple times over the years and have been pretty satisfied most of the time.The hostess Dina is lovely and always treats us like family which is hard to find nowadays. The quality of food is good and the presentation is nice.I actually like this establishment over the much bally hooed Mohawk House down the road. We usually get Allie as our server and she is an efficient and sweet person. They have good sangria,albeit pricy for a pitcher.The drinks are well made and they have some interesting concoctions. Well the restaurant is what it used to be- the food is bland and not very favourable . I had ordered to speCial- rack of lamb and my side had the shrimp over pasta. My lamb was undercooked and had zero flavour, The broccoli raab was just tough- it was awful for 30+ dollars. The shrimp and pasta dish was dry and had zero flavour-they took it all back but it was so late to Re fire anything else - just disappointing, we were here about 6 months ago and my shrimp scampi had the same sauce at the linguini and clams- each had no flavour -I have not had a good meal here in years so we are done- hopefully they will figure out their meals and get it right - regretfully i leave this crappy review but it's just not as good as it looks read more

I'll actually say 3.5 stars. The breads and bruschetta they give (as the wait is long) are sooo yummy. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer and it was really good. I ordered a special with shrimp, lobster and scallops in a garlic butter sauce. The lobster was overcooked. None of the seafood was seasoned. The pasta was cooked perfectly. Overall, I'm sad to say I've had better at Carraba's. I like supporting "authentic" Italian restaurants but the food and service was lackluster. read more

Sadly I have to downgrade Casa B to two stars for very poor service. After many years of good meals, and good catering and good events there, we had a very poor experience at an event. With a crowd of 20+ people for a communion we arrived to find out our tables weren't ready and had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. Instead of providing drinks or something to eat we were squished in the bar area trying to get the bar tenders attention. (Once he heard we were part of a party he seemed to lose interest.) To boot, we had older people who needed to eat and who we had to lift up to get them on the high bar stools so they could sit down and eat cocktail nuts. When we were finally seated, we basically had one server for 20+ people. Took forever to get drinks, various courses came out piecemeal, with folks waiting for the rest of the plates while their dishes got cold. Waitress also seemed to disappear for long periods. I was chasing people for water and even for cake for the communion girl. Just crazy. What could they have done better other than having the tables ready on time and staffing the place with an appropriate amount of people? Maybe comped something. Put some bread on the bar when they saw people wolfing down nuts. Hell, they could have at least given us the impression they cared. Oh and the bathrooms were dirty - when you have a bunch of kids in for events all day long someone needs to make sure there isn't pee all over the floor once in a while. Having said that. there were three other parties there that did seem to e getting the appropriate service . . . . . maybe we just aren't (now weren't) good enough customers. 4 stars because my experience did not blow me away, most likely due to the fact that the food was being mass-produced when I was here. I was here for a group dinner with about 50 other people, plus a bunch of others from Selective. The staff was extremely attentive and made sure everyone's glass was full at all times. We were in a beautiful room but it was just a little tight for our group. Appetizers were really good and, as usual, I went overboard on them. Our dinners were not as fantastic as other reviewers have claimed on here, but I'm sure it was just because the chef had to make so many at one time. It was obvious that if that had not been the case, the food would have been much better. Then again, I can't remember what I had, so I guess that says something too. Have eaten here close to 50 times, it is one of my favorite places obviously, the staff here is friendly and very obliging, food is always top shelf and an experience. This is definitely the best Italian restaurant in the area. The atmosphere is cozy and classy with a dazzling stone centerpiece wall, glitzing a gorgeous electric fireplace. The tables are also very spacious. I ordered a margarita and my friend had a glass of wine.. both were fabulous, but I'd label the margarita as a must try! Shortly after we were greeted by garlic bread with butter globes and bruschetta, magnifique! Our soups were hot and delicious, but the best part was the dressing on the complimentary house salad. A perfected balsamic vinaigrette. For my meal, I ordered the lobster ravioli which I asked to be made spicy. I honestly missed the opportunity to take a good photo of my dish because I was so excited to eat it. Perfectly balanced and the pasta was soft to the touch and the palate. I will say, although the food was exceptional, the best part of the evening was our server Sylvia. She was truly exceptional.. and made our night out special and memorable. My first time here. Met friends who live in the area. Waitress was super attentive. I had a special of short ribs ragu over homemade egg fettuccine. My friends had chicken milanese and blackened salmon. My husband had his usual chicken parm. Everyone enjoyed their dinners. They came with house salad which was very good. They brought bruschetta and toast and bread and butter when we sat. We each had dessert. Tartufo, NY cheesecake and Vesuvio which was brownie bottom cheesecake with fudge and chocolate mousse on top and whipped cream on the side. All in all it was a great experience. Arrived at 5:30 Sunday night 30 minutes before our reservation and were seated immediately. The room is nicely decorated, tables well apart and sound is at a minimum. By 6 PM every table was taken. Alma, the waitress, came over within 5 minutes. She was friendly & professional. Warm bread & Bruschetta was served soon after. Drinks came soon after. Big wine & beer selection. Large menu and reasonably priced. Entrees come with a small salad & complimentary warm Biscotti for dessert. Nice surprise. The 4 of us ordered Swordfish, Lobster Ravioli, Veal Marsala & Casa Bellisima. All entrees was very good. We did not order appetizers. The only negative was at least a 40 minute wait from when drinks were served until entrees came. Total time was 2.5 hours. They do not rush you so be prepared to spend 2.5 hours. The drinks aren't balanced, they are mostly alcohol (I guess that's great for some guests, but as a bartender I'd like a balanced cocktail not one loaded with alcohol and zero flavor).
