Cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful restaurant. This is the type of establishment that reminds you of the good old days. The customer service is a time capsule of an era where a business strived to make your visit special and memorable with quality food and great service and not by some trend or gimmick. One thing that is not in the past is their skilled ability to provide a safe meal for those who are vegan, gluten free and or dairy free. I've never been to a restaurant that can turnout amazing authentic Italian food made with regular flour while also being able to provide a safe gluten free and or dairy free alternative of the same caliber. They have an efficient system that makes it clear there are people with dietary restrictions at the table and they take it very seriously. With all those great things to say, the food is what is worth writing home about. A gluten free chicken Parmesan that no one would ever guess was gf! A delicious gf df chocolate lava cake to end the meal was such a treat and was delicious. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable and attentive, they're a well oiled machine! And it was very nice for the grandson of the original founders to walk around and talk to us, not just a how is everything tonight kind of stop either, he really took the time to make pleasant conversation about the World Cup and ask how our son did at his soccer tournament. Another review from a poor man. I will give this to you as the good and the bad and the overall of Mama's. The good. The staff is as attentive as they have always been. The way they show pictures of "today's specials" on an iPad type device is a nice touch. The meatball app had good flavor as well as the ricotta that came with it. The fiancé had the pear purse which is always a very good. Also the Eggplant Pisa salad that came with my lunch paring was very very good and I would eat it again!!! The bad. The meatball app, although tasty, was only two small meatballs (basically the size of a soup spoon!!) for 15 bucks. So I don't care for the cost compared to the value you get for it. Also I am a snob for chicken parm and this chicken was overcooked and dry. The bread crumbs were soggy and would have been forgiven if the chicken itself wasn't so overcooked and dry!!!! My over all is this. Been to mamas many times before this review and I think they are worth your time (even more so during dinner time!). They do more things right than they ever do it wrong. This is a great Italian restaurant if you have any dietary restrictions (and even if you don't). If you're a vegetarian, vegan or have a gluten-free diet, this is definitely the place for you! They will even put a tiny sign on your table that says Gluten-free, to remind your server. What service! And their menu has such a wide variety of items, that everyone will find something to satisfy them. The food is delicious here! Reasonable prices; huge portions sizes. Service and hospitality was wonderful and they really pay attention to food requirements and allergies. I've never experienced a restaurant who took these issues so seriously. Great parking! You can choose whether to sit indoor or outdoors. We had a family get together. So we sat indoors.. lots of charming photographs of old celebrities hung on the wall. Music was retro 1950s Dean Martin style music, which I absolutely adore. The hostess guided us to out table immediately. Very welcoming. Our server was very friendly, kind and professional. She brought her beverages and some freshly baked bread to our table. Yum. I got the Eggplant Siena. It was so delicious and I loved not only the scent but the flavor. The perfect amount of garlic ! Yum! The presentation was lovely & display of the food on my plate was pleasing as well. The veggies were sitting right next to the rigatoni pasta. Adorable, flavorful and delicious! We all ordered dessert. And I was pretty stuffed, but there was always room for a tiny cannoli. That's what I got and it was magnificent! We all loved our dishes and we would definitely come back. I sat at the bar, and was served by Austin - who is a third-generation owner. I enjoyed a sampler of appetizers - all were delicious and rich in flavor. As a cocktail aficionado, I tried several of Austin's seasonal concoctions - my favorite of which was the rum-based "Apple Pie" cocktail, topped with whip cream. For next time, I may try the Pumpkin Pie Martini. Other entries on the Fall cocktail menu include the Pumpkin White Russian, Apple Cider Mimosa, and Autumn Orchard Sangria. The bar also offers a nice selection of premium whiskies available in 2 oz. pours such as Jefferson's Ocean Reserve, Blanton's, Woodford Reserve, Monkey Shoulder, and Macallan (12/15/18). I ended my night with a smoked Old-Fashioned, the perfect segue into Fall. Mama's also offers a nice selection of mocktails. Setting the sonic atmosphere was a singer-songwriter style guitarist. At first I was a little deceived by the name. I'm so use to a cafe being beverages and pastries. But mama's cafe Baci was great! Everyone was so kind! They bring you bread and pasta as a sampler! The food was delicious you can taste the freshness. Let's talk about mozzarella sticks that don't come from the frozen aisle. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a mozzarella stick like this. To be honest I was full by the time I received my sandwich. I had also ordered garlic knots with mozzarella and I loved the fact that these knots had a wonderful taste of garlic it wasn't just there for show. I will be back!! Soon read more

Still love this place!! Every time we visit the area Mamas is a must. They again did not disappoint on our take out order. Awesome pizza, excellent balsamic chicken, and loved the homemade soup, today chicken and rice. The service was outstanding while we ordered and waited. Went tonight with my sons family for our wedding anniversary. Everything was delicious. Dinners can be ordered as 'Duets' which is 2 half entrees. Staff is friendly and attentive. Our table was on the room with the live musicians and it made for a great dinner experience. Some if us(not me) couldn't finish our dinners and the waitress took them away to pack them for take home. Unfortunately the plates were dropped so the waitress came back and told us that the dinners would be remade to take home. I had my daughter- in-laws baby shower in the Rainbow room at their restaurant. Sheri helped me make the arrangements. I sent her emails with questions and she answered very promptly and called me several times regarding my questions to explain more to me so I would not be anxious about anything. Sheri and the other employees treat you like your family. Their food was amazing. You get 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 pastas and 2 desserts ( Italian cookies and Zeppole). You can get the cake also from there but I brought my own. The soft drinks are included . I bought bottles of wine from their place . You have that option to do that! I went for lunch with my sister and a best friend about a month before and they gave us a sample of an appetizer to see if we liked it and we were able to select the menu for the baby shower. The day before the shower brought my decorations to them and they put all of them out and hung up the banners and assisted with carrying the stuff from our cars and storing it overnight. The next day with the cake, they came and carried the stuff in again and carried it in. My son, my husband, my son's father in law, my other son and brother came at the last hour to watch my daughter in law open her gifts and they cut the cake for these guests and gave them coffee or other soft drinks. They REALLY treat you like family. I had her bridal shower there 3 years ago and still the same quality of care to make your special occasion memorable. Sheri also is the best! Mama's has been in business for over 50 years and we were thrilled to be invited by the owner's son, Austin, who is heavily involved in the business and very forward thinking when it comes to amazing food options, dog friendliness, and community. We were treated to an amazing lunch of fantastic classic Italian food and they even specialize in vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy free, and keto options! The portions are huge and we indulged in vegan chicken parmesan, vegan chicken francese, vegan penne vodka, focaccia, orzo, selections from their full bar, and only wish we had room for dessert. For each dietary option you are looking for, the menus are HUGE! The hostess also shows the specials on an iPad, which we thought was awesome! Dogs even get to dine in luxury with their special Pooch Cafe menu! Nugget and Brie spoiled themselves with a pumpkin spice latte using healthy ingredients from another local business in the area, Barkista! And their main course was "The Royal Prince" which came with filet mignon tips. They also have other pup-friendly options of meatballs, salmon, chicken, bacon, and even dessert of vanilla ice cream and peanut butter. All the dog options are gluten-free. Leashed and friendly dogs are allowed outside at the Pooch Cafe portion of the restaurant which is located in a cozy space along the side of the restaurant, and when not busy, in the back. The space is open all-year-round and blankets can be provided when it gets chilly. They can also provide water bowls and clean-up baggies. When we first moved to Warren County, after being born and raised out East, finding authentic delicious Italian food was almost an impossible task but when we found Mama's our search was over. The food is delicious and the selections plenty with the ambiance to match. The waitresses are always pleasant and friendly with the attention to service that fine restaurants offer. My only suggestion would be that guests absolutely enjoy being asked as to the their dinning experiences and meal quality but not repeatedly within the reservation. They were on point with ensuring gluten-free meals were handed to the appropriate persons. The calamari was nice. It was fried for sure, but less breading. Slightly oily. Not my absolute fav, but our GF little one hasn't had fried calamari in a while so was very happy. We were passed free taste testers and WOW, the creamy risotto and champagne rosa pasta were delicious as ever. Our entree pasta dishes were delicious! I recommend the DUET. We also got a steak dish. This place is definitely interesting. The decor is unusual and they definitely bring the hospitality. Multiple people to consistently check on you, multiple menus to accommodate dietary needs, and even little placards at your table to confirm said needs. Lots of GF options to choose from. I had the calamari and the chicken parm with a sample of some rice with vodka-like sauce they brought out (complementary). The calamari was cooked perfectly and the sauce for that was delicious. As far as the chicken parm, I was sad to see the pasta did not come covered in cheese as well (it would have greatly enhanced the dish) and I was not a fan of the red sauce. This is the second time I have been to mama's. The first few years ago was a big success. I ordered the pear Gorgonzola pasta and it was DELICIOUS! This second time, I ordered the same dish, but it didn't quite taste the same. Likely aided by the fact that the pasta was room temperature (did not expect the pears to be warm). So, that was disappointing. I also had the apple ravioli special and it was also disappointing, and a bit strange. When I think of ravioli the inside is usually a creamer filling to contrast the ravioli. But here the inside was small cut up bits of apples. A strange mix that led to a disappointing eating experience. The service was also not great. Didn't enjoy my time at mama's too much this time. read more

Whenever I come here I feel like I'm home. The people are so friendly and the atmosphere is so cozy it feels like I've come to my grandmas house for Sunday dinner. Walking in we were asked if we wanted a vegan and or traditional menu; my non-vegan friend also wanted to look at the vegan menu. And of course a robust traditional menu as well .It took a while for me to decide, but I went with the vegan pizza for lunch. My colleague had one of the lunch specials lobster ravioli and the drink special blueberry sangria. I went with unsweetened iced tea. Without the drink, the tab was 45. I have been coming to Mama's since 2020 and still consider it the best restaurant around. There are so many things I love about it, so I'll name a few. First, I'm vegan and have so many options to choose from, all of which are amazing. They are always adding new things to the menu and I appreciate that my family and friends can come eat here as well and can get "normal" food too. Second, I love that they give you free bread, a free sample of a dish (gluten free and vegan too if needed) and they also give you huge portions. Third, all of the staff is SO attentive and nice. Even when a mistake is made, they are quick to fix it and make your experience better. In five years of coming here, every time we come we are greeted by the owner, Thomas, as well as the host staff with such friendliness. They have a great selection of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. But I'm not speaking to that. This time around I had the cauliflower crust personal pizza, and the broccoli crust personal pizza. Two personal pizzas were split between three people, and we went home with a lot of food.
