I came here to get my hair and makeup done for my wedding. Best decision ever! Brenda and Marjorie made me look gorgeous and were wonderful company to have as I mentally prepped for the ceremony in just a few hours. These two ladies are some of the nicest you will ever meet each with a warm sense of humor and a caring spirit. I had a morning ceremony and they both came in early to make sure I would be ready in time :) Brenda was so excited for me and had bagels and champagne for me to indulge in as a mini celebration before the wedding. I have been going to Brenda for the past year to get my hair done by her. I had recently had a hair disaster with a different stylist and Brenda rescued my hair (on a last minute request and staying way later than when her shift ended) and she's been my stylist ever since. She knows hair, not just how to make it pretty but how to keep it healthy too. She's creative and always has different ideas about styles and colors I could try. There was no one else I would trust more to do my hair for my wedding. She added pink streaks in my hair so that when it was pulled back it looked like a bouquet of roses. She created the perfect style for my big day. I felt beautiful and got a ton of compliments! I have been going to Marjorie for years to get my eyebrows waxed. I live in San Jose but gladly make the drive to Morgan Hill so I can keep going to Marjorie. She is also an excellent makeup artist. The way she did my makeup for the wedding was perfect and just how I wanted it, soft and subtle and fairy-life. I was beyond happy with how my entire look turned out for my wedding. Casa Blue is so darn cute and Genevieve is the best! She has done my hair for a few years and we have gone different colors, shades, and styles. She always wrangles my grays into submission (giddy up!) and makes me feel amazing on the way out the door. One of my favorite things is her shampoo and scalp massage technique. Another favorite is her hilarious personality and generous spirit (schedule flexibility and reliability has been great). I just had my hair cut by Brenda and she was awesome! I'm very picky and haven't had a real hair cut or style for almost a year and half but she was highly recommended and she delivered. I'm always skeptical about going to new places and getting my crazy curly hair cut one inch shorter by someone I don't know...but from the first time I got my hair cut and colored by Nina in the summer of '06, I won't think of going anywhere else. Great hair cuts, great color and the chit-chat is fun too. I always have a great time. I know the owner (from going there every two months) and everyone else is very friendly. They all make you feel at home. I even got my old roommate going there now... And, yes, although I'm a bit North, the 40 minute drive is worth having my hair look this good. read more

I followed my stylist Genevieve to Casa Blue and am so happy this is where she is now! From the minute I walk in I am always warmly greeted by all the stylists - including the owner. The salon is cozy, cool and charming. They are always fully stocked with great hair care products and really nice, unique gifts. It's so nice to walk into the salon straight from home or work and instantly be transported to a relaxing atmosphere. My boyfriend has been Genevieve's client for over 9 years, in fact he recommended her to me & my teenage daughter. Boyfriend defines the salon as "calm & cool", and Gen as "precise, perfect, reliable" and his haircuts as "hassle-free, I don't have to explain myself - always get exactly what I want". On the other hand, every time I see Genevieve I want something different! She always takes the time to listen to me talk about what I do want vs what I don't want. She always gives me honest feedback regarding how these styles will work with my hair texture. Every single time she comes through for me! I have gone from pixie cut, to growing out the pixie cut, to shoulder length hair and back to pixie again with her! She has even indulged my need to have purple hair. My teenage daughter loves her long hair, but because it's so thick it can be difficult to deal with. She also likes to experiment with short bangs and side-swept bangs. Genevieve keeps her hair long while removing the damage from excessive flat ironing. Cherise Gowan worked for my wedding party in November 2009. She was FABULOUS. She took care of 5 bridesmaids and the bride in only 3 hours. She came to our wedding site for no extra charge and brought all her supplies with her. She did a WONDERFUL job on both the hair AND make-up. We did a trial run and she listened to exactly what I wanted. She is very talented. I highly recommend hiring her for your special events. I have been getting my hair done with another stylist for years so naturally I would be worried going somewhere new...Am I happy that I did. I was greeted with a glass of red wine and fabulous company...treats around the corner, FYI. The gals there are incredibly nice! I went to see Cherise, on a suggestion of a friend, last night to get highlights and a trim. Chereis is amazing. I never knew highlights could come out perfectly without hearing terms like "toner" or "red". Perfect the first time around!!!! I have gotten nothing but compliments on how great the blonde highlights and trim are!!! I am hooked for life! I absolutely would reccomend Cherise and Casa Blue to anyone!!! Make sure you ask for Gen. She is an amazing hair stylist who has been doing my hair since I was a Freshman in high school. It's been almost 10 years now, and I live in Los Angeles, but I schedule a hair cut with her whenever I'm in town. She's PERFECT to go to for hair cuts, but also really great at up do's for Proms, dances, even weddings. Trust me on this one, you WANT to have her handle your hair. My wife will not go to anywhere else for her, or our daughter's hair. Whenever we go to Morgan Hill to visit family, our time is tailored around her appointment with Gen. The atmosphere and family that makes up the Casa Blue stylists is what sets it apart from the other salons in the area.. It has a homelike atmosphere and everyone there makes it a point to make sure you're happy and comfortable throughout the entire appointment, which can be long, (when you're the husband). My wife has gone from Salon to salon down on the central coast, from stylists who will double book their appointments and set her under a dryer forever, to stylists who are overpriced and overhyped... Bottom line, the positive vibe of the salon and the care they take, (to make sure you're happy and excited about your hair) is unmatched. I will never go back there. I went on the recommendation of a friend but was unable to get the stylist she liked. I didn't think it would matter but after getting a wash, cut and style from Kelly Palmer, I was shocked to hear that the price was $80. My cut was nice but no better than Penny's that charged me $26. I have been going to Kelly for cut and color, for over 8 years and she is just as amazing now as she ever was. Her demeanor is always very pleasant and her hand and talent absolutely spectacular.
