Especially when you are suffering from hair loss from medical reasons. She is truly a gem, especially with how she works with the shears so smoothly, very talented. I will never risk touching my "hair" myself again, with an expert this talented. In particular, for butterfly, or long face layered cuts, this result really exceeded my expectations. I have been coming to this salon for the last six months or so and Lily has done a phenomenal job every single time. This most recent time I brought both my children to get their hair dyed some fun colors for the summer. My younger child has issues when it comes to washing their hair and has a lot of fear associated with it, and Lily was completely understanding and gracious the entire time. The good: I got a Groupon for $33 for a haircut with Shannon. The price was originally $85. I called on a weekday at 2:15PM to make an appointment but it went straight to a full voicemail box so I texted instead. Shannon responded immediately. The salon itself is very spacious and welcoming. There's a water and coffee area in the waiting space in the middle of the shop. The salon sells beauty products as well as purses, jewelry, and bags. I asked for a V-cut and liked the outcome with the layering and products used. My hair feels healthier and lighter. Shannon was quick and skilled. The bad: I wish the online appointment booking portal was more of an appointment booking rather than a "message us" system. I like online automatic bookings and being able to know immediately if my appointment is confirmed. The interesting: The Groupon mentioned a Shelly but the reservations are with Shannon. The shampoo used smells like the zebra fruit striped gum. read more

I got the MOST AMAZING haircut by Shannon. I absolutely ADORE my haircut! I couldn't find the original picture I had saved to show her (silly me) how I wanted my hair to look like, but she completely understood what I meant. I managed to find a picture of what I was kinda looking for (not the best picture) and she somehow read my mind! SHE ROCKED IT actually because she gave me EXACTLY what I wanted and imagined in my head. Better than any picture I could've found. It was really hard to find a picture online of exactly what I wanted, and she somehow still did it. Pure talent! That's never ever happened to me. And this time I was the unorganized one. This is the first time I've ever cut my hair above my shoulders. I'm so glad I went to her. I posted a couple of selfies! My ends are crispy because I didn't tell her not to use very hot air and flat iron on my hair. My hair was in bad shape already, so doing that made me ends crispy. I was curious to see how my hair would look styled with a straightener, so that's why I didn't let her know and instead risked it. It's okay though, I'll just deep condition and do an Olaplex treatment on my hair. I plan on going again soon to get those crispy ends trimmed. And this time I'll let her know my concerns. Nice to get my hair done after 7 months without a hair cut and style. They strictly followed Covid policies for salons. Stations separated by plexi glass. All surfaces sprayed with disinfectant before and after each service. We both wore masks. The stylist did a great job with my long hair tuning it into a shorter cut that enhances my natural curls. I went there yesterday afternoon to get my prom hair done. I have been to a lot of salons in my area for hair, but this one by far was the best. I got Danielle who was the sweetest! She did my hair exactly like the picture I showed her and was really friendly and talkative! I really enjoyed getting my hair done by her and will be going back for all special occasions! Love this salon and my stylist, Melanie Muraco. I was so happy when they were able to open in September after a very difficult 6 months of being closed. I've been in twice since their reopening and the owner, Shelley, has taken every precaution to keep their clients and stylists safe during the pandemic. They do temperature checks, questionnaires, and have installed plexiglass throughout the salon. Masks are required for everyone and they are operating at limited capacity, which I know is hard. I watched as each and every stylist applied the same protocol to their clients and took the time to sanitize every common surface in the salon. It was quite impressive! And Melanie...well, she is just the best. She loves Halloween and today had the cutest wig, colored contacts, and dramatic make-up. She is not only a talented hair stylist, but she is quite the make-up artist as well. I love our chats while I am there and I always leave with my hair looking great! A year ago I was talking my stylist and mentioned I had always wanted to try going red. She immediately was like let's do it and when I expressed my worries, she told me no worries I can get you back to blonde no problem. I let her dye my hair red for a year and I enjoyed it but in October I was like I think I'm over red. And she was like let's do brown with blonde highlights and told her no I going blonde next visit . I came in December and said I want to be blonde and showed her pictures and she showed me pictures of what was possible and blonde was it. I walked out of there brunette with blonde highlights and not good ones chunky, oddly placed. I hated it . I waited 6 weeks came back in and was like ok I do really want to be blonde like I hate being brunette. She said ok. I walked out of here with green brown hair and a ton of orange and white highlights that were so awful I sat in my car and cried while shoving a burrito in my mouth. A week later I made an appointment at Dejavu with Shannon -she had good Yelp reviews. When I showed up Shannon had a family emergency but Nicolette offered to look at my hair. She had good Yelp reviews too so I agreed.After seeing the tragedy, she offered to fix it that night. She stayed for hours , until 9pm , carefully and throughly fixing the hot tye dye garbage that was my fine thin over processed hair . Now I'm finally back to a shade of blonde she could do so soon after my hair was attacked and on the road back to the exact blonde I want to be and I'm so deeply grateful. Update! Shelley got a new massage therapist!! OMG Jenn is amazing - I've had massages all over the world (seriously) and Jenn is incredible- #SOWORTHIT! I wanted to update my fellow yelpers!! Just saw Shelly today! My nails look fabulous but one thing I noticed (and this my biggest pet peeve) about Deja Vu salon is how clean she always keeps the entire salon. I never see dust or dirt like I do in most other salons. I absolutely love that. I feel so amazing and relaxed as I sit and get my nails done! The girls always offer me a drink and a friendly hello!!! I have been going to Shelley to get my nails done for 15 years. I am really selective when it comes to how my nails look. Shelley makes them look amazing!! I not only enjoy her as a nail technician but I truly enjoy her as a person. Her positive and uplifting attitude are amazing - I always feel better leaving then when I arrived. Disappointed as a first time client. Cindy did my hair. She was very sweet and and I really enjoyed what she did with her other clients hair. I saw her Facebook page and thought that I would give her a try. With going to other various salons throughout Morgan Hill, I have always paid between $125-$225 for the same thing- I got a balayage, cut and a root touch up. It was $175 for the balayage (partial) my hair was about 2" past my shoulders , $90 for the root touch up and $60 for the hair cut. The total was $325 for all three. With the other salons that I've been to, I have never paid this much. I'm not upset with my hair, I just don't think it was worth that much money! Be sure to go over the prices before you get your hair done!!! read more

I find it odd that I have to call a specific person to book an appointment. I was new to the area and wanted to get my hair cut and a pedicure before a Vegas trip. I called the salon and they gave me names of people who "rent" a space for nails and hair. I then had to call each person until I found someone who could get me in for both. I had my nails done first. Nice lady (wish I could remember her name). While I was getting them done, I was watching what I thought was a family reunion across the salon. There was a hair stylist holding a baby and talking to her sisters the whole time. Not a huge deal since she was the person who was going to cut my hair. However, when it was time for my haircut, she had no recollection of my appointment that I made a few hours earlier. She did "fit me in her busy schedule", though. I love Deja Vu Salon, My hairstylist is Sylvia Smith and she is amazing. I am very visual and I usually bring pictures in. I have done this for years with other hairstylists and never had the results that I get with her! Usually my expectations for when I get a haircut are pretty low.I get the picture results the day of the haircut and then after that I try and get the volume and look I want out of it, usually with little success. Then when I went back for a trim it would never come out right again, until I brought a new picture! With Sylvia, I get the cut and style I want the trims are always consistent, and she is VERY reasonable on her prices. AND when I go home with my cut I have the volume I asked for, the length, and a happy husband(I would tell other stylists to cut off half an inch and they would cut off an inch! I was trying to grow my hair out and never could until Sylvia who actually listened to me!) She never tries to be a sales women and sell you her products. She is the kind of person who will eventually become your friend. I can honestly call her a good friend and I always look forward to my appointments. She is very flexible with her schedule as well. So I am writing this review because my boyfriend hadn't cut his hair in a year, and I had been begging him to style it a bit. Finally he agreed to a haircut! He usually goes to supercuts, but I've had enough of them just shaving his head. So i did some research and I called a couple salons that didn't answer. I gave Deja Vu a call, and the lady who answered was so sweet and asked around to see if there was any appointments available that day. She said to come in at 1:30 with Angelica. I ended up calling letting them know my boyfriend was going to be late, but they said it was okay and come anyway. Because we were late, he had to wait ~15 min. But that was our fault so it's okay. Anyway, I waited in the car for an hour and my boyfriend came out a new man thanks to Angelica. He said that she made him feel super comfortable (especially being a man in a salon) and consulted him through the process and gave him tips on how to style his wavy hair. Tracy Scott is the most welcoming stylist. From the moment you walk in, she works really hard to listen to what you want done with your cut or color. She spends the time to have a conversation and get to know new clients so she knows exactly what their expectations are. She did an amazing job on my ombré hair and gave it a wonderful deep conditioning. My hair is very coarse and hard to manage and she gave me great advice on hair management. I had the best massage of my life! I love getting massages and have had many massages at different high end spas and hotels but hands down Jennifer is the best. She has a very calming demeanor and her massage is so therapeutic. She tailors her massage to your needs and it very skillful in recognizing areas where it needs work. I recently got my hair cut by Jaime. She was awesome! She took about 30 minutes with me discussing my hair and what I wanted - which I appreciated because I went from shoulder length hair to a pixie cut. She was excited and did an amazing job! I've also gotten my nails done by Shelley and she's wonderful! Being a licensed manicurist myself makes it hard for me to find a place I'm actually satisfied with but I've found it with her. I love Deja Vu Salon ! I've been getting my lashes done by Rachael for months now! My lashes have never looked so good! The glue she uses is phenomenal, they don't fall or clump. My natural lashes have never been damaged or affected by my extensions. Rachael is so sweet and always accommodating towards my schedule!
