The vibe this winter is: don't let the depression win. And if that's your goal too (plus supporting a minority/latinx business/local business/ just like good coffee) then this is your place. The inside is stunning. The vibes are warm and filled with community. The coffee drinks are actually interesting and with really cool flavors and combinations. And not just that but actually fucking GOOD. I got the maple latte bc of the bitters and Smokey and it actually delivered. You get me when you add salt. Also everyone here is hot?

Second time at Casa Cactus and have enjoyed my coffee each time! I got an iced horchata latte and it was perfectly made and so refreshing. The baristas are friendly and the cafe has a neighborly feel with a Latin American design influence. Check out the cactus shop across the street!

As soon as i stepped in i was instantly intrigued. The scenery is beautiful and full of culture. Even the dishes used were gorgeous. It's also extremely spacious easily one of the biggest neighborhood cafés I've been in. Staff was nice and helpful with any questions i had and gave suggestions as well. Only issue was the food and drinks were just okay nothing too special which is unfortunate since everything else was well above expectations. Would love to give them another chance eventually.

Calling out all College students, coffee enthusiasts, ethnic junkies and adventure seekers! What a blast this place was. If you love your "cafe de olla" this is a great place to get a little taste of home with some coffee and treats. I got mine in a ceremony mug that fits the rest of the vibes of this place! The staff is very friendly and know how to make you feel at home. The cactus decor is fantastic (the music...a little random haha...but nothing headphones can't fix ;)) My concha was warm and spongy! There was plenty of seating space. And several tables to get work done. They seem to have a "back"room with pots and plants..maybe they hold classes of some sort around here, but it was not occupied. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area and bring some friends to experience it!

This is a true local coffee shop. You really won't find laptops here on a Sunday, at least I did not see any when I went. Most people were either from the area or friends meeting up with each other. Newcomers such as myself admired the beautiful details throughout the space. Seriously, it feels like walking into your interior decorator friend's apartment. Chill vibes, records, plants and beautiful eclectic Mexican decor. I cannot wait to see this cafe in November, I just know their space would look amazing for Dia de Muertos. The iced cafe the Olla was delicious, perfectly sweet. It's definitely a small curated menu but they know what they're doing. There is enough seating but overall it's a small place and it gets lively in the morning!

I stopped here because I love coffee and I love plants, and this place does both well. This coffee shop is tucked in the neighborhood as if it was always there. I saw the new menu online and had to try the cherry Garcia ice latte. It was really good, I would suggest to add more chocolate flavor to it. The chocolate shavings backslash chunks are a nice treat throughout the drink, but more of that chocolate flavor would be nice. They have a variety of plants throughout the café as well and I believe they have a conference area in the back. The staff here are amazing!

I personally was so happy to be introduced to a good cup of cafe de olla :') It tasted just like the one I had in Mexico City. The empanada pastry was not my favorite. Dry & empty in taste with how hollow it was on the inside. The ambiance was very Mexican. I loved the plants, patterns, & colors. Would visit again!

Casa Cactus is a lovely combination of my favorite things - plants and coffee. I stopped by for a post Thanksgiving pick me up and fell in love with this sun drenched and cactus filled cafe. Flickering candles were spread throughout and a record player had on soothing music. There is ample seating which makes this a great spot to work or study. The cafe menu included various pastries plus drip coffee, cold brew, and my favorite- cafe con leche coffee. There's plenty of non caffeinated drinks as well. The barista was incredibly friendly and took time to go over the menu and non dairy options for my friend. Casa cactus is an exciting new addition to the neighborhood and I cannot wait to go back!

Very cool interior and nice ambiance. The employees were super friendly and the coffee was good. I loved the mug that it came in, too.

I had the café de Olla and it was delicious and really hit the spot on this cold and windy day.

I wasn't too interested at first, but I was pleasantly surprised and ended up having a very fun experience! When we were there around 5:30 pm on a Sunday, there was a line, and a small crowd of people were around the window taking photos. A googly-eyed puppet named Puddles was taking orders. Our daughter ordered a cup of swirl soft serve ice cream with rainbow sprinkles, while I ordered another one without any toppings ($6 each). It's funny that Puddles asked me to put my credit card between his eyes and disappeared behind the black curtains. When he re-emerged and returned my credit card, I forgot to ask for a receipt since I was dealing with a puppet, lol. A young man brought our ice cream to the outdoor seating area, which has two large communal tables. He would call your name, so do pay attention. There were a lot of kids, and we heard that some of them were repeating customers. However, there were also people like us who did not bring any children, were there just to have ice cream and a fun puppet show, simply had a good time! Puddles later sang a song at the end of his shift! When he went to take a nap, the next puppet Trevor popped up, that was so cute! As for the ice cream, although it was not the smoothest or creamiest, it was not bad. Portions were pretty generous, both our daughter and I could not finish our ice cream and had to share with my husband, who did not order any. There's a sign that if you pay with a credit card, there's an 18% tip added. In our case, it was $2.16, just the puppet's song was already worth it. The Sugar Hole is only open in the summer on Saturdays and Sundays, but will run through September. We enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend it. You still have a few chances left for the rest of this summer!

I haven't been inside the venue; we came here for the Sugar Hole one warm late spring day. It's a cute and fun idea. My daughter (age 2) was curious about the puppet but a bit wary, but she put up with it since she was with mom and there was ice cream. She was pleased with her twist with sprinkles. The ice cream was big--I don't know why I didn't think of getting one to share, since usually if they don't suggest different sizes they're too big for a toddler. As it was we each only ate half of ours (I got the swamp monster, because who wouldn't be curious?) so keep that in mind when you're ordering. I wouldn't come here just for the ice cream; there are a lot of ice cream shops around, including a Dairy Queen not too far away, all of which have much better ice cream. There was no line when we got there but one formed pretty quickly after we ordered. The puppet chats briefly with folks, and of course it's a big photo moment, so the line is probably a bit slowe than in other places. But the treat comes out pretty quickly after ordering.
