maduro (fried ripe plantain) con crema (not shown in photo) with side of creamy black beans

First time visit and everyone in our party said the food was excellent. I ordered plátano maduro con crema and it was just like my "mamita" Nicaragüense grandmother made. Some ordered variety of pupusas, Salvadoreño tamale, pastelitos de pollo. Everyone was very pleased with their choices. We found Casa Cafe on Yelp and the good reviews convinced us. Adding another 5 star review because they deserve it. The lovely lady who served us was so patient, kind, and helpful. Highly recommend. Located in small plaza with parking.

The service is on point and very friendly. The place is a little whole in the wall but you now those are the hidden gems. Tuesday and Thursday special of pupusas revueltas and frijoles y queso for $1.99 each. They are generous with the filling and not greasy. Ordered some to go. Come down and have a few. You will not regret it.

The service is horrible. The only good things I have had from there is the platanos and the black beans

Bro...This place is legit! I live around the corner & was craving Salvadoran food because that's what we ate at home growing up since we're Salvadoran. Upon entering I was greeted by the young guy working behind the counter. He is so patient & kind and broke down for me what they offer in their menu. The cuisine at this restaurant is Guatemalan, Salvadoran, & they even have 'salchichas Argentinas,' which looks so good. The guy explained that they just have a month at this Azusa location & are coming from the San Fernando Valley. I ordered the 'carne asada plate.' The food tastes so, so, so homemade. It seriously tastes like a tío or tía made it for you. It's sooo good & authentic. Also, they made my food really fast. I definitely recommend coming to this restaurant! Support this new small business.

I found a gem so close to home that I'm so excited about. I usually order through DoorDash and it is always fresh, warm and tasty. Big portions and made to perfection every time. I have never had a restaurant call me to ask how I want my eggs cooked or if they are out of something what would I like to replace it with. I love their service and attention to detail and the way they honor of their way to make sure that the customer gets everything done correctly. Excellent service, and phenomenal quality. For a small business I support them and I will continue to order from them. So far I tried the pupusas., atol de elote, rellenitos, sopa de res and the carne asada , let me tell they do not disappoint. Thank you for your kind service and for making your customers happy.

Bean and cheese Papusa. O. M. G!!! The best EVER!!!!!!

Absolutely a 5 star place. Best Papusa and pork tamale I ever ate. The service was wonderful. Ambience is very nice and comfortable. Can't wait to get back and try more dishes. Yummy!!!! Tried this awesome place again today. Johanna recommended the shrimp Papusa. Absolutely scrumptious! Thank you for such excellent service, and wonderful conversation. See you soon!!

My husband picked up some food from here for lunch and we tried their pupusas. It was so good and fresh! My favorite was the beans and cheese one and I quite enjoyed it with the sauce it came with. The tamale was also good and very moist, but I will definitely be coming back for the yummy pupusas!

Very good fresh food This one is literally a little of everything Chorizo cheese beans jalapeño chicharron

The plantains with a side of black beans and the cream. Dip your plantain into the beans and then into the cream Yum Yum.

The food is excellent! My husband is from El Salvador and he loves their food. Pupusas are the main thing to try. And then the tamales are excellent. And I love the plantains with the cream and the beans excellent. So, so good! All of it. I highly recommend.

I'm grateful for their dedication. The food and beverages they prepare and serve reflect their commitment to their community. Even though they have a made to order kitchen, my food was served quickly each of the three times I've eaten here. Everything is well crafted, with my go-to's being sopa de res and pupusa plates with rice and beans. Auga frescas here are legit as well. I always choose to dine at a table because I like the ambience here. It's got a mercantile vibe with Telemundo on the TV screens and big beautiful posters highlighting lovely scenes from El Salvador. Seating is plentiful and comfortable at the booths. Floors and tables are spotless and clean. Fyi, they have an open kitchen and the a/c's not ice cold for those who prefer sweater weather, but for me it works. And on the plus side, my delicious food stays warm longer. I don't review often, but when I do it's because I feel strongly about the place, and I want to thank everyone who helped/helps make El Jireh a truly outstanding establishment. I could be speaking from absolute hanger but my plate was absolutely delicious. I'm not sure what it is called, but the menu is small so it won't be hard to find. They served a side a bread and we had to ask for butter which is no big deal. Unfortunately the staff doesn't really speak a lot of English but pointing at what we wanted worked really well. One thing I am not too happy about was the use of plastic utensils. Now I'm not one to judge bc it could be maybe they do not have enough staff and it is completely understandable, but I mean I'm cutting into a steak so maybe a plastic knife isn't the way to go? Overall it was great place and it was nice and cool inside.
