The food from Carbon is always delicious. Their chips and salsa are great and their variety of tacos are a 10/10. I love the arrachera and ribeye proteins. We have had Carbon delivered many times and its always still good when it gets to the house. Last visit we dined inside the restaurant and they were having an issue with soda machine. We were able to switch out our cups with bottled sodas in their fridge.

I finally found somewhere with sliced ribeye tacos! I have been looking for these all over and could not find them anywhere outside of a food hall in LA. This is a premium taqueria so they use high quality meats and everything was super tasty. My favorite was probably the skirt steak tacodilla but everything was fire tbh. Highly recommend this spot.

I highly recommend this place for their unique tacos. The tacodilla is a flower tortilla with cheese and the meat of your choice. The longaniza (type of sausage/chorizo) had really good flavor. You can taste the smokiness on the meat. They had three types of salsas and you control how much you want on your tacos. The only thing is that if you're allergic to eggs, don't get the guac because they use mayo. I feel that all places need to be cognisant of the fact that people can die from food allergies and this type of info needs to be disclosed. If you're in town, get the tacos that I got. You will like them. I plan to visit again when I'm back.

came back for taco tuesday again. didn't get pineapple on any of the adobada. unsure if they ran out or it's something they no longer add. would recommend management updating their photos if they no longer have it, as it's misleading. if they did run out, notifying the customer when ordering would be best course of action. a year later, can still say quality of tacos is great but all the details make it subpar.

I've seen all the TikTok hype that everybody had been promoting but had yet to visit. So I picked up my boy and we ventured out and dove in feet first. After viewing the menu, I thought I'd try the campachena which was a longoniza sausage and arranchera taco as well as an Arranchera taco. It takes a lot to get me excited about a place, but the flavor of the meat and the quality of the meat cooked over charcoal makes this place THE BEST taco locally. When I say the best, I mean it. The young lady, taking the order was very helpful, and she talked everything up. Everything was good from the food to the service to the ambience. This is not a one dollar taco Tuesday special place. This is high-end quality meat tacos. We also ordered chips and salsa, which are delicious, if you're from the Azusa area, you know where the chips are from. That was a good choice for them to serve these chips here. Can't wait to come back here soon, maybe they'll be able to achieve the five star status from me. See y'all soon and thank you for a wonderful experience.

We got a coupon in the mail for Carbon Taqueria so I looked it up on Yelp. I was surprised to see it had over a 4 star rating and that I hadn't hear of it. So, my husband ventured on to give it a try for lunch recently. It's such a cute little place with plenty of seating to host the lunch time crowd. They have a self-service fountain drink machine and a small salsa bar with some great tasting salsas. You order at the counter and then sit and wait for your food. The staff was so friendly - greeting us when we arrived and left. I had the rib eye quesadilla and loved it! The meat had that a charcoal flavor and was cooked to tender, juicy perfection. I also loved that they put the guacamole inside when they made it. It was HUGE! I could only eat half. My husband had an assortment of tacos (see photo) and said everything was delicious. I also loved their horchata. We will definitely be making this a regular lunch spot.

Ordered an assortment of tacos and I'll be honest -- watching them prepare the food may have influenced my expectations. Everything is cooked right in front of you, and I didn't really see much seasoning or marinating beforehand, aside from salt going on once the meat hit the grill. I tend to prefer more marinated meat, and overall the tacos tasted like they could've used a bit more salt. That said, the smoky flavor was solid, and they had a good assortment of salsas. The medium salsa was my favorite. Prices were good considering the area and the style of food. It's a nice place to sit, eat, and chill. Service was friendly, the space was clean, and the music inside added to the vibe. Good portions.

I dropped by for Taco Tuesday and had a great experience here at Carbon Taqueria. This location is in downtown Azusa. They're adjacent to Penny Coffee Roasters and across the street from Lemon Mint for reference. Parking is offered on the streets anywhere in downtown. There is a sign for a parking garage but it wasn't open yet from my understanding. I saw a sign outside for Buy 2 tacos get 1 free outside. As I walked it around lunch time, the location was poppin'! It's a relatively small restaurant with counter top seating and only a few tables in the middle. They do offer a few small patio tables outside as well. The staff was very kind as I browsed the menu and decided to do the Taco Tuesday Deal. The cashier was very kind and offered a water cup without me asking. Total cost for 2 Adobada Tacos and 1 Longanisa Taco was $7.78 before tip. AGAIN the total cost was about $8 for 3 tacos on Taco Tuesday! Couldn't believe it! That was such a steal of a deal! No wonder the entire restaurant was packed with students and customers on lunch breaks. The staff visibly works very hard as it is an open kitchen set up. There is self serve sauce bars and drinks for the customers. Order was ready in less than 5 minutes. I was able to find a spot at the counter. These tacos were tremendous! Each of them was loaded up with the proteins and topped with onions + cilantro. These tacos were some of my favorites I've tried this year. They were oozing with flavors. The presentation on the plate, the portions in the tacos and the flavors from each taco made this a great experience! The Adobada was very good and my favorite of the two options. Overall, I am definitely going to come back here to Carbon Taqueria again and I would recommend others to come here for a great Taco Tuesday deal in Azusa! They are some of the best in town! Thanks, Carbon Taqueria! ( ^_^)b

Very friendly service and decent tacos, but in the land of great tacos, they didn't really stand out too much. The kind of taco you would take a family member that wants to try tacos but only eats at established restaurants and won't go near a taco stand or truck. They have three salsas that are tasty, but not one was spicy. Again, perfect for that family member :) The real disappointment was their taco Tuesday menu. Confusing and doesn't include their perceived namesake tacos, carne asada or arrachera which is likely the one's cooked with al carbon. The ribeye is on the taco Tuesday menu, but can't be combined with other meats so you have to order 3. My GF really wanted to try some of the other meats, so we didn't get the rib eye. Of the tacos we tried, suadero was probably the best with tender stewed beef on a tortilla. Adobada had great texture, but lacked the flavors one would expect and chicken and panela were as expected. I did add a star to support brick and mortar stores which would get more business, but street tacos are hard to beat in the SGV. And if you really want tacos Al carbon, there are some brick and mortars in Anaheim, Pomona, Downey and LA that compete with the street vendors so they do exist.

New spot to go to for tacos!! We were looking for some chips and salsa and saw this place on Yelp. We haven't been so we decided to try them out. Small place but they have inside and outside seating. I got the longanisa tacodilla and the carne asada tacodilla. Hubs got the quesadilla with longanisa and carne asada. Of course we ordered chips, salsa, and guacamole. Good serving of meat for our orders. Soo good. A little messy so make sure you have a form ready. Will definitely come back.

I was on the hunt for some good tacos, and after browsing Yelp, I came across Carbon Taqueria. It's a cute, clean place right on Azusa before you get to Target. The service was super polite and quick. As for the food, I feel like it caters more to the American palate. There wasn't much spice, even with the added sauces. That's not to say it wasn't good, the tortilla was actually surprisingly great. On the burrito, the tortilla had a slight crunch that paired really well with everything going on inside. Overall, it's a solid taco spot, but definitely different from the flavors you get from street tacos or DTLA tacos.

Best TACOS all-day! So consistent everytime!! Nice touch with the grilled Chile guero! My TOP Favorites: 1. skirt steak tacos; 2. ribeye; 3. Chicken. I've been lucky enough to go on days when they have filet mignon!!!

Carbon is located in downtown Azusa. I went around 6:30 pm and it was definitely busy for dinner time. There was a wait to order and for the food, which probably took about 15 minutes. The store itself was pretty small and accommodates small parties. It was a nice aesthetic to be able to see the cook make the orders through the glass. For parking, I found a spot right in front of the store on Azusa Ave. It was a good spot until I realized it was a bit difficult to back out into a busy street. After a bit of a wait, I was able to leave, but could see this being an issue at peak traffic hours. For my order, I got the rib eye taco, an asada burrito, and a horchata. The rib eye was very good, easily a 5/5. The asada burrito had a good ratio of ingredients and had a nice char taste. The drawback was that it was greasy and it was falling apart with every bite. I felt it was still valued as a 4/5. The horchata was not too sweet American Express is accepted!

I ordered the 2 chicken taquitos with a side of guacamole. They were tasty! They're not your typical taquitos..the shell is much thinner, almost like an egg roll wrapper, which gave them a different texture that I actually liked. My only thought was the value. The two taquitos were almost $10, and for that price I think adding a third taquito would make the portion feel a little more in line with the rest of the menu. The 3-taco combo was around the same price and included rice, beans, and a drink, so it just felt like the better value. Service was friendly, and there was plenty of outdoor seating, with some indoor seating available as well. Overall, it was a good lunch stop if you're in the area.
