We were a bit concerned due to the reviews touting poor customer service, but we didn't experience any (there was only one guy working, but it hadn't gotten busy yet). The food was flavorful and plentiful, without being greasy. Pupusas revueltas can be dry, in my experience, but these were juicy. The casamiento was a bit dry, though. Price was good to average for most items. We plan on returning to try more of their pupusas. read more

This place is new(er) but they are doing a great job. The place is really clean although I had a good amount of "cortido" on my menu. Our waitress did apologize for that. The bean pupusas I got are super packed with beans and are very delicious. The wife and daughter got cheese and port and bean and cheese and we were all very happy. Today my wife also got a pork tamale and it was super tasty but soft. Central American tamales are typically wrapped in banana leaves and have potato in the "masa" but these needed to sit a bit longer. Still we ate it and were happy with the choice. The cortido is delicious; they had cucumbers and jalapenos but they are careful to remove the seeds so that they will not be too spicy. That again, is typical for Central America. Also, they are not afraid to give you a big bowl unlike some other places that I have been to. I took advantage of the Yelp! Check In so I got a free empanada. I chose the platano and it is very good. They close at 8:00 PM because they are short staffed but the waitress/owner said that they are looking for someone and hope to eventually stay open 'til 10 PM. Their quality and taste was comparable to sol maya (: I also tried their carne asada plate with banana chips. The carne asada meat was well seasoned and tasted pretty good. The banana chips, omg. I loved those chips. They're not as crispy as Portos, they're more fluffy and similar to French fries, I love them! For drinks, I ordered the guava drink and the passionfruit drink. Based on a takeout order (due to Covid-19 compliance): My order was taken by phone by a pleasant, friendly lady who didn't speak much English. But, she understood my order correctly and asked me to give them 20 minutes to prepare it. I knew I wasn't gonna be there for another 30 minutes so that was ok. Got there around 11am. Parked on their private lot. There would be enough parking spots for dine-in guests on a regular (pre-Covid/Covid-free? Lol) day. Walked in, straight to the counter. There is, of course plexiglass. They are organized and clean. I didn't notice any mess or boxes or supplies out of place. My pupusas revuelta were ready for me. Brought it home and shared it with Grandma. Each one's a good portion. I ordered 8 of them. She ate one; I ate two. Saved for the rest for later. They gave a generous amount of their curtido, which I love. I'll be back here. The picture speaks for itself. I was enjoying the pupusa after the long wait and I come across this COCKROACH. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt that it wasn't intact that and sent it to my family they all AGREED that it was a roach. I called this restaurant back to let them know and they wanted us to take it to them before it closes. I walked in and the dude that was there approached me and I opened the food to show and he said that it was a seed from a Chile de arbol. I looked at him like are you serious I cook with that type of ingredient and never has my food looked like that he then calls someone to get a second opinion and of course she claims it was from a seed she even suggested that it was from the purple onion in the curtido, the curtido does not take Chile de arbol so how would that be an ingredient?! He then bring a bag where they have the Chile de árbol with seeds and compared and it had no similarities. You can tell what a bug is and what a seed is. He then grabs this bug takes a closer look and gets rid of it with his fingers in the air I told him why did you get rid of it and he said no I didn't and I asked him again why did he do that and they both tried looking for it and the girl said well you don't have proof now so what do you want? I said clearly not trying to make a big deal I'm just showing you guys what you guys are giving people and not checking. He said well I'll give you your money back and I said that and more the guy laughed at my face and I said ok you guys must want me to take this to health department and she said you don't have proof I told her I had the picture they gave me my money and they were really unprofessional about the situation. OMG was craving something other then Mexican food. Found this GEM today on yelp. Placed an order for food due to COVID. Lady was nice and friendly over the phone taking my order. Food ready in 30 minutes. I ordered 3 revueltas pupusas and salpicon plate for my wife. Also got a side order of yuca and chicharron. All 3 were delicious and freshly prepared. Been passing them for months on the way home. The only thing that was so so was the salad that comes with the salpicon. Maybe they should replace that with something else.. We had Revueltas, Queso con Chicharron pupusas with curtido. They were excellent and authentic. By far fresh and reasonably priced. We ordered the Carne guisada which I was craving and it was to die for. Just like I was raised eating.
