A very nice choice for an Italian meal in Paris. It's located in a very active area quite near the Opera subway station and several large department stores. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and spoke quite good English. The menu was viewed via a QR code, so you need to connect to the restaurant WiFi if you haven't activated your international data plan. I had a cosmopolitan cocktail which was tasty and strong. I had the gnocchi bolognese entree which was delicious. Piping hot with a rich, meaty bolognese and perfectly cooked gnocchi. We also tried the Margherita pizza which was outstanding!! Amazingly delicious cheese and just the right amount of a flavorful sauce. The crust was a perfect combination of soft, bubbly, and crunchy. For dessert we tried the amaretto tiramisu. Amazing amaretto taste, but it was an unusual texture with a kind of sticky foam rather than the usual combination of cake and cream. Not bad but different. I was born and raised in Italy and was not super impressed by this restaurant. If you are looking for an authentic Italian experience, please bear in mind that this place has a Frenchized version of Italian food, catering to the masses. Came here for a late, mid-week dinner. It was very crowded, but we were seated quickly. Service is good, but slow (4/5). We ordered the lasagne (5/5) and the calzone (2/5). The lasagna was delicious. Nice crispy edges with a dense cheese/meat filling. The portion is just enough for one, and the sheets of pasta were perfectly cooked. The calzone was filled with meat and cheese. It was a soggy, and when cut into, spewed out a good amount of liquid. The restaurant is cramped with people sitting very close to each other. We really really enjoyed this restaurant. Of course we found it on yelp and it wasn't far from where we were (we were near the Opera house when hunting for food). We walked up to this restaurant and it was fairly early so they only had 2 other tables of customers when we got there. We were seated right away and our waitress was great. I got linguine bolognese and my husband ordered lasagna. Both of our dinners were excellent. Our waitress spoke Italian which made it really easy for me to talk to her. She did help us with a bit of French as well, which was cool. We got lucky in Paris and found exceptionally wonderful restaurants and this was one of the best. I really do not have enough nice things to say about this place! We were seated very fast and in a nice spot. When our drinks came out the straw seemed very unusual. It was made of pasta! I've never seen this done before and I thought it was a nice touch. Food came out way faster then expected even thought the restaurant was packed. I ordered the margarita pizza without tomato sauce. We came to Casa Cosa on our first night in Paris. We are visiting from the US, and were more than pleased at our experience at Casa Cosa. Amongst us all, we ordered the Caesar salad, lasagna, 4 Stagioni pizza, Margherita pizza, penne bolognese, And a pasta with clams. Everyone really enjoyed their food. Fair warning, the lasagna is very large and, unlike America, the Caesar salad has tomatoes and walnuts. But still amazing! The restaurant itself is clean, and despite the popularity, the staff handles crowds well. Thank goodness we found this place. We had been eating chicken and french fries for 3 days and needed a change! The food here was very similar to the pizza and pasta I had when I was in Italy a few years back, so I'd say it was authentic. I had a ravioli dish and it blew me away. My husband ordered a pizza and he enjoyed it - I even sampled a bite or two myself and concurred with his assessment. The service was very European, so we did not see any problem. I was referred by the desk clerk at my hotel. I tried the gnocchi with carbonara sauce. It was good. The sauce was rich and tasty with a lot of pancetta. The gnocchi were firm but a bit bland. I wished I'd tried a different pasta. The great thing about this place is you pick the sauce and the type of pasta you want. I guess for Paris this was affordable, but for 18€, I expected more. Terrible customer service. I sat inside and asked to start with an ice tea it was an extremely hot day today. He said that's fine but that sitting inside is for eating not just drinks and I said that's okay I want to eat as well. He said ok so your eating and I'm like yeah I want to eat and say I just hadn't heard that before and I'd been here in and out of restaurants for almost a week. Maybe it's because I was always ordering food but he was just super rude when I said yes I wanted to eat. If I could give a place a 0 star, this would be it, but unfortunately 1 is the lowest. My family and I walked in and got escorted downstairs where the kitchen was. We waited a max, and no I am not exaggerating 15 minutes until my dad grabbed a pitcher of water behind our table, and also waved down one of the cooks to get a waiter. The cook rang the bell and finally a waiter came down and the cook pointed at us. The waiter got so irritated that that was the reason he got called down. We gave him our order and waited for our food. We noticed our food was ready since it was sitting for 5 minutes and our food was not given to us. Finally, a waitress came. After a long day of shopping, a small group of four of us used Yelp to find a small place to enjoy pizza and wine. The server told us that it was not possible to only order two entrees and eat in this establishment - that we had to order four items off of the menu in order to be served. She became quite confrontational and asked what I didn't understand and that if we didn't adjust our order, we would need to leave. So we ordered two more small plates. I remember when this place was Papa pasta. My first time here was 10 years ago so I was shocked when it changed names 2 years ago to Casa Cosa and then the place got a beautiful make over! With all the changes though one thing is true, and that is that the food has only gotten better. The 4 Stagioni pizza is my favorite. Tomato, olives, mushrooms, and ham - what more do you want? Salad? Chicken Caesar salad is delicious with big chunks of chicken, walnuts and tomatoes. Pasta boscaiola and carbonara are awesome. The house wine is my favorite but the cogniac is good too. For the life of me I can't remember the owners name but he's been here for years and it's nice to see a friendly face when you walk in. My parents and I were here recently and got a free round of limoncello which is an Italian liquor and very addicting. My mom's been talking about limoncello since she's been back... Guess I better go find some. Highly recommend Casa Cosa if you're in the ninth district but get here early because it gets pretty full as the day goes on. read more

Super food and generally nice atmosphere though smoking is allowed outside in front tables and drifts back into the restaurant ruining the atmosphere for those who don't enjoy smelling and inhaling cigarette smoke.
