JoJo's Pizza is one of the better pizza options in the area, especially when it's fresh. The slices can be a little oily, but it is still a party. I have def had better but it is still solid. The real standout for me is the chicken parm sandwich. The bread is good, the chicken is solid, and the cheese actually works together, unlike other spots. Parking is easy, the staff was friendly, and the service was straightforward. The prices could be a little better for what you get, but the food is still worth trying. This is definitely more of a takeout or pickup spot since there really isn't much room to sit. Grab your food, bring it home, and eat it before the pizza gets sad. read more

Good neighborhood pizzeria in North Arlington if you're in the mood for a couple of slices. This place is on the Too Good To Go app which if you're not familiar with allows you to get discounted pricing on food leftover from restaurants at the end of the day. In this case I got an assortment of slices ranging from plain, pepperoni, and Margherita and garlic knots. Slices were typical North Jersey style with a crispy crust. The owner is always friendly out front and they work quick here to get you your food. They also do a variety of salads, sandwiches and wraps here so be sure to order it as well. read more

This might just be the best pizza spot in lyndhurst. Definitely a hot take, but I am trying to be more bold for 2026. The Pizzeria is small and easy to pass by, but its colorful and vibrant and Screams PIZZA. This place packs BIG flavors and wonderful textures and absolutely puts care into its food. I really enjoyed the garlic knots and the margarita Sicilian slice. Very unique and delicious options I was extremely pleased with. Jo Jo's succeeded in partnering up with "Too Good to go" by providing fresh food as a sampler to try where most places usually give out leftovers for the end of the night, but Jo Jo's hit that with class and fast service. Jo-Jo's is located at 728 Ridge Road close to the North Arlington border and they do have a reward program when you purchase on your 10th trip. Unfortunately I did not know this until I paid my bill. They do deliver and the number (201) 933-0360. My father's neighbor used to deliver and the service is always first rate and this was a takeout order. The owner was working the phone and they had one cook as the owner helped out with the pizza making and he was a delight to speak with. I ordered a large pie with pepperoni & mushroom and the Antipasto Salad. There salad was great and pizza was okay, and could be better. I should have gotten extra sauce but all in all it was fine. The place has been open since 1959 which makes it iconic and witnessing all the change along Ridge Road. The wait for the food was about 15 minutes in person and owner was friendly and talkative! The interior is dated and there is little room for tables so most orders are takeout and delivery. They have regulars and most of the business is delivery. I would like to order a dinner next time and the food overall is good. The price of the pie was about $40 which seemed excessive, but I had little to compare pricing too. I will return when in New Jersey and the place could use a physical facelift. Jo-Jo's is the last of the old school pizza places only arounf longer than maybe PIZZALAND or Bruno's. It is a mirror to the old Italian Villa which closed several years ago across from QP church. I like what they offer and while the pricing seemed excessive, I shall return! RECOMMEND! read more

Stopped by and got 2 slices- one pepperoni and one plain. Also got 3 plain garlic knots and 2 pepperoni garlic knots. The pepperoni slice had ample pepperoni (I put a few on my plane slice) the pizza was thin & crispy. One slice and a few knots were more than enough food. I'm so on the fence here.... It's like a 3.4 for what I had. Let's start at the beginning. I drive by this place EVERYDAY. So I figure why not. Game night pizza night. I get the grandpa pie and a Buffalo Chicken pie. The guy inside was beyond friendly. Great atmosphere. Even asked me what I wanted to watch while I waited. I get home and open the box and this grandpa pie looked solid. The Buffalo Chicken looked like it was too well done or maybe just lacking a sufficient amount of base sauce. It just didn't grab me. It did have the ranch on the top which is a major plus. The grandpa pie consisted of broccoli rabe, sausage, peppers, mozzarella and tomato sauce. Ingredients were very good. I love broccoli rabe and pair it with sausage. Yeah. I can dig that. I take the first bite and the dough was so chewy. NOOOOOOOOO..... And I'm talking every bite. It was just way too thick. And the crust line was just too deep. There was about a solid inch and a half of crust from the edge to where any toppings began. That was my major downfall. I was able to grab a Buffalo Chicken slice before the kids destroyed it and I wasn't wowed. It's good enough if this is your location of choice but I'm not going there just for the Buffalo Chicken. If you're of a certain age when 'cruising' was the thing to do up and down Ridge going between Kearny and Lyndhurst you might remember there were two "Guido Outposts" - Peter's Pizza in Kearny and in front of Jo Jo's. I never was a fan of Peter's so maybe I just assumed Jo Jo's wasn't good, either. Well fast forward almost three decades later and the family finally got to try their pizza and it's damn delicious. A nice tang in the sauce, a great bite and crunch on the crust. And the staff - a small army behind the counter working their tails off and they couldn't have been more friendly and personable. Jo Jo's just jumped to my #2 spot, tied with Francesca's (ahead of Foschini's, Pietro's, Mr. Bruno's and Turano's) for my favorite local pie. Will they be able to boot Gencarelli's from the top spot? Know about the specials in advance! As a frequent customer I unfortunately had an unpleasant experience at my most recent visit. I ordered a Large Cheese Pizza and 12 wings over the phone for pickup. When I picked up my food I handed my card over to pay and noticed my order was actually a special that included a 2 liter of soda. I asked the employee if I could have a 2 Liter of soda as that was part of the special and the employee rudely said no because I didn't ask for it over the phone. I don't understand the difference of asking for the soda over the phone versus in person. I ended up having to pay more for the 2 items separately because I was unaware of the special before getting to the restaurant and the employee didn't mention it over the phone. I understand they didn't have to tell me about the special but wouldn't that have been the right thing to do for a frequent customer? Starting off I call and ask if there's a Wednesday night special for XL Pizza + Mussels. There's photos advertising that special on their Facebook and Yelp. They tell me "well, thats everyday not just Wednesday but yea" I'm like hmm ok. He goes so you want a pizza and order of mussels? I'm like "yea, the special" So I go in to pickup my food and there's about 5 guys standing around with no masks on. That's really irresponsible but when a customer walks in then I expect you to mask up. That's just common courtesy but they made no attempt and stood around shouting with no masks on while I wait for them to get my order. And its a small waiting area that I'm in with 2-3 guys and none of them wearing masks. They then ring up the order and everything was basically full menu prices. My usual place (see my reviews) is 100x better and is $31 no special vs their $38 for the pizza, mussels, and sandwich. And that's supposed to be with them giving me a "special" price. HA! The mussels were absolutely terrible. They have no idea how to make mussels there. 0/5 The sub was ok. It's overpriced and not much meat but it didn't taste bad. I definitely wouldn't recommend getting a sub from there. 1/5 The pizza is fine. But they have so many different sizes for pizzas which is a bad sign for a pizzeria. The XL pizza isn't extra big its a pretty standard size compared to what you'll get at other pizzerias but its $15 for a cheese pizza which is too high unless you order on one of the days its cheaper. 2/5 So, no decency or common courtesy from anyone in there. No masks on or anything when a customer walks in. That just shows a lack of respect and lack of class. Food is overpriced and I'm pretty sure they rang me up for a "special" when they knew it would've been cheaper to ring it up individually. Shady and dishonest. Food is very meh. The only decent menu item is the pizza and thats nothing special. Pretty basic gut filler. This isn't my first time going to JoJo's either.
