We went here the other day after a funeral for a luncheon. The room we were put in was plenty big for our party and the waiters were all very nice. They started us out with large bowls of salad and bread, both which were very good. Then for appetizers we had antipasti, eggplant Parmesan, and calamari. All of the appetizers were so delicious! We all agreed it was the best calamari we have ever had! For entrees, we had the chicken parm, veal, and salmon. Everyone really enjoyed those dishes as well! For dessert, they gave us an Italian ice cream, that was so yummy! Our whole group couldn't stop talking about how delicious all of the food was! I was here for a baby shower, so I cant speak much about the actual dining experience. The baby shower was in a small room to the right of the restaurant where it had 4 round tables comfortably. Each table help 8-10 people (10 might be tight), and the space provided a nice intimate space for close friends and families. The food was VERY good and you might think I'm crazy for saying this, but their Caesar salad was one of the best Caesar salads I've ever had. The lettuce was fresh and crunchy topped with their Parmesan shaving and crunchy croutons. There was a good amount of dressing that made the salad that much better. After the salad, we had penne vodka, sausage and peppers, chicken Milano, roasted potatoes and green beans. Everything was absolutely delicious. Our servers were fine being that they were just brining food out and collecting empty plates, but they didn't really speak to anyone and did their thing and left, which was fine as to not interrupt a party. I would come back here for regular dinner. The only thing is that the parking is small and it's valet only, which I found ridiculous since the parking lot was small, it's $8 for valet for them to run to your car when you can walk faster to your car when you're waiting in line for them to get other people's car. My family has been coming here for easily 2 decades. We had a little party of 5 to celebrate my Mom's Retirement. Domingo was awesome and the,food was absolutely incredible!!! We ordered manicotti with vodka sauce, fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken. chicken parm, Linguine with clam sauce. and orecheitte pasta w sausage and broccoli rabe. I am generously giving 2 stars for the wait staff , ambiance and their bread. Everything else was actually disgusting looking and tasting. Their red sauce tasted like dollar store jarred sauce. Service was awesome our waiter was so attentive, friendly and patient with our larger group. This would be a great spot for a party as they have multiple party rooms. I've been there a few times. I went today 3/29/2026. The bartender Facundo was the nicest, most attentive person I've met in the food industry world. He offered to carry food to people's cars, he helped an elderly man order food, explaining the menu to him, when the man couldn't see it clearly. Who does the that? Facundo does! We went to Roma for a repast after a relative's funeral. In short, the food was delicious, served hot for a sit down service and a big hit with all our family and friends. The table service was punctual and courteous, responded to all our needs and the owners were excellent to work with. The rooms are spacious and serve various size parties very well. My boyfriends family had a repass here and while the food was average - the service was not. We arrived early to set up and realized one of the tables was not set while all the others were. Once everything was set up and salad was being passed around we realized our table was still not set up. Once we asked someone about it they said they'd get on it right away. It was one server who made the entire experience miserable. He reluctantly set up the table - literally throwing and slamming plates down in front of us. Forget about the silverware, the clanking and slamming was something no one needed to deal with along with his attitude. He then said "there's too many kids at the table in the back". I'm guessing that's why they didn't set up the last table, but is it really gonna hurt you to set up an extra table because some family brought their kids along? Especially on such a dark day where everyone is dealing with grief, just accommodate the family. Let me also point out it was only one server who made this experience harder. Everyone else was fine but his attitude was poor and everyone noticed. The food was average, everything was passed around family style. Didn't even know they served dinner here. Always thought it was just a hall. Service was excellent... Started with the long hots potatoes and onions. It was good, not overly hot, enjoyable. Sausage and broccoli rabe with tomatoes was a different take on the traditional plate. It was very good and broccoli rabe was not bitter (thankfully). Linguini with garlic and oil was very flavorful. I'll admit.... I was hesitant. I'm not a big holiday takeout guy. But in today's times, that's our options. After a month of all the children home and doing Advil via computer, my wife said there's zero chance she's cooking. Ok, we see a post from Roma. They have a holiday special that can't be beat. So I agreed and that's where we were headed. You walk in, pay and then they brought everything to my car and loaded it up for us. Nice and smooth and minimal contact. Everything was beyond phenomenal. This was my first time trying this place. It's tucked away on a side street and never really caught my attention. Food was so good, I found myself still picking on things well after I was stuffed. Chicken francese was so damn tender, I can't even describe it. Sausage and broccoli rabe was out of this world. Penne vodka... fughettaboudit. Hard to find good vodka sauce. This was nice and creamy and tasty. Shrimp alla Creole was fresh and perfectly cooked. Wings were wings... I had only one just to try one. We got them mainly for the boys, Which our seven year old capitalized on most of the tray. Definite 5 star recommendation here. After a family members passing, we decided to have the repass (funeral lunch) here. I especially loved the fact they reached out to me on their day off. The actual lunch was about 40 of us and there was enough food to feed a lot more. It was family style and it was delicious. Our server, who was working solo, did an amazing job keeping the glasses and plates full. From start to finish it was top notch. To start they brought out the house salad...then fried calamari, egg plant rolotini and charcuterie...all soo good! Then their pasta ricotta (banging) came out as we were getting full...lastly they brought out the pork, chicken and sausage/peppers...filling and delicious! And to finish off the meal - Italian Ice Cream...amazing. Such good sangria as well. We are now going to add Roma to our list of go-to spots for future memorial dinners and such. ENJOY! read more

Great spot serving up delicious Italian food. Our party of 7 started with the bruschetta, clams casino, mozzarella en carozza and fried calamari (order it with the spicy sauce for an extra kick). All of our entrees were served with salads. By the time entrees were rolled out I was pretty full from the copious amounts of apps and salad, ha. I ate a few bites of my eggplant rollatini (delicious!) and wrapped the rest - it even tasted great re-heated the next day, so that's saying something. Everyone in our party was more than happy across the board with their food choices. The portion sizes are generous, and the salad pairings were an unexpected but welcomed surprise. Still going strong after countless decades... this was a favorite of my parents eons ago but as a kid I wasn't a fan. And after more than a few years since my last visit it was the first time I got to bring my own kids here and I gotta say: we were all impressed. The portions are imposing (three of us had leftovers which still looked like full entrees). Even the starter salad was twice the size of your standard "freebie chopped salad" before your meal (and I really dug that they used some of the brine from the green olives in the salad to mix with the house dressing). The food was aggressively seasoned and well-executed (steak actually medium, pasta 'to the tooth', salmon that was fork-tender without any albumin leaching out like when us homecooks try our hand with seafood). The staff were all really cool, on top of their game and one waiter near the end had us cracking up every time we swung by to help out. Pricing was more than fair. They have a parking lot (which fills up pretty fast). Only minor grumble: the house (red) wine was... well, what you might expect and the next time around I'd get something else. This place is more than legit and definitely worthy of sharing the name of my fave Italian club di calcio. (I owe an apology to my parents for thinking I knew better than them all those years ago.) read more

If you need a new restaurant to try some Italian food, this is your place. There food has never disappointed. They have a great penne vodka that I usually go for every time. The ambiance is a calming slightly fine dining feel. I wouldn't come here in your joggers. It's also suprisingly big, they have many hall rooms where people have showers and parties of sorts and they're really beautiful rooms. I have been to a couple showers here so it might even be a good place to have a special occasion. The service is always great. read more

Recently attended an engagement party which was located in the back room. The servers were attentive and professional. 1st two courses we had were family style. Salad and pasta. Both were good and well portioned. My wife and I had the lemon chicken with vegetable and potatoes. Chicken was very tender and sides were delicious. After booking my mother in law's repast two weeks ago we went to see the reviews here on yelp and grew concerned after seeing some of the horrible reviews especially the ones of alleged racism. Well I write this review while sitting here at Roma and have to report we are having quite the pleasant experience. The staff has been nothing but kind and courteous to our guests and have provided great service. We had brought in dessert from the outside and they cut the cake and served it without complaint. Wait staff are incredible here! Regarding the food it was awesome and plentiful. We had the family style menu at each table and even had enough for take aways to bring home. The quality of the food was top notch and it was delicious from the fried calamari, bruschetta, eggplant parm, chicken Marsala, pork loin, and potatoes and green beans. Perfectly cooked meals. I am not here to complain about the food or service which is excellent. We had a family repast scheduled here and I just feel the person who handled this was extremely rude. I told him we would have at least 40 people which he did not believe and when we arrived there was only set up for 40. We actually had 45 so some had to wait for a table to be set up. I had requested 2 bottles of wine on each table which he was not going to do and in the end we got them. I know it was a Saturday night but the way we were treated during a trying time was uncalled for. I am glad that I was the one who called instead of my mother in law who was grieving her husband of 60 years. read more

Came here for a family luncheon (Repass) midweek in early October. Reservations were made two days ahead of time. Menu was setup predetermined with add ons if needed. And they were. Red and white wine was standard with a Rosé as an extra. Appetizers, salads and Penne alla vodka were all served up family style. Three choices for our entrees. Chicken parmigiana, veal franchise and a broiled salmon dish. The chicken definitely turned out to be a most popular dish at our table. Portions were very hearty in size. Only one person had leftovers at our table. Service was very accommodating meeting all our needs. Especially during these times. Sorry no photos this time. :) Valet parking lot out front. Repast Luncheon Review: It was simple to make the reservation and no deposit required. I do not recommend choosing the Family Style menu because you'll get tons of pasta (that was over-salted) but beware - they will skimp on the protein - and when I say skimp, I mean SKIMP. We had mostly men at our table and they put one plate of small (1/2 cut) pieces of chicken breast (chicken francaise) and barely enough for half the table. They were clearly trying to get away with it - it was obvious. I asked for more chicken francaise for each table and they gave me an attitude. I over projected my attendee amount, so they should have had enough for 15 more people, but didn't! (Though they had no problem charging me for my misjudgment.). The place and room served it's purpose and the only reason I landed there was because Lassoni was booked. I wish I looked into San Carlo. If there will be handicapped attendees, look elsewhere. Stairs to the bathroom and in and out. Funerals and grief cloud your judgement and it's a difficult time and this place most likely took advantage of that. I used to frequent decades ago when I lived in the area and they had a major renovation and the menu has changed somewhat. My family had a Christmas Party and the decor, food and customer service was excellent. The place is hidden off Ridge Road on Crystal Street and there is plenty of parking and handicap access. Then I was told I could get vodka sauce with penne as a meal I said ok and add the shrimp parm but in vodka sauce they said no. The brucheta wasn't even homemade the waiter told us it was store both and package. Well it was made with to much vinegar and soggy tomatoes. We ordered: Bruchetta App, Caprese Salad App, Pumpkin Ravioli Special, Grilled Pork Chop with long hots(reg menu) and Chicken Princepasa(sp)( chicken with eggplant,procuitto, and mozz in sherry sauce), 2 cabernet glasses, 2 pinot noir glasses, and a double espresso. Everything was fresh & delicious. Waiter was attentive, prices were on par with local places. We left during karaoke, because work and school today, but it looked like fun. Came here last night for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Service and food were excellent! We were seated in round tables in a back room. First course was salad and warm bread. Followed by Appetizers: fried calamari- which was outstanding, eggplant, and bruschetta. Next course was penne vodka- to die for. By the time it came to our main entrees I was stuffed!! I picked the grilled salmon with green beans and potatoes, it was fresh and perfectly cooked. Desert was a delicious ice cream topped with a cherry. My family and I came here for repast after my uncle's funeral and we are so appalled and disappointed over the whole ordeal. My aunts came here a few days prior and had a meal to check out their food and service. All seemed well and the owner charlie raved about the unlimited and great food. It's an unfortunate time during covid and it was hard to accommodate everyone as we had to request some to go meals but as time went on charlie got more irritable and cranky and resisted accommodations. First and foremost the food was subpar. My neighborhood pizzeria makes better Italian food. Idk if it's because they cannot cooked for a large scale of people but the food was just not good. I enjoyed the bread and the gelato but that was it. It was disappointing as well because they only brought out the coffee and gelato when half of the party left and we had to ask them to bring the dessert out. The service was terrible. There were two tables with over 10 ppl and he only served a platter of shrimp scampi so we ordered more. Charlie advised that the food was unlimited so if we ran out of food of course we were going to order more but when we went to order more he lied and said they ran out. My aunt had to speak to him and then he finally admitted if he gave more he wouldn't be making any profit. You should not advertise and rave that your menu is unlimited family style if that is not what you intend to do. My family does not care about the money and if he was honest we would have just paid for the platter. During a time of mourning and days of unrest and the long day of the funeral, everyone is hungry and tired. We want the best for our family and he was shameless in his approach. When we asked for to go carton because we had leftovers from the veggies and penne (that seemed to be the only thing he gave in abundance as well as the bread. I supposed because it's "cheap") the server told us that they are not allowed to give us any carton and I heard someone said it's cause we're going to pack up all the food. Damn right we want our leftovers. We paid for it. This is not a buffet. We are allowed to take our leftovers if we want to. After much going back and forth, a server said he received the ok to give us to go carton. How insulting can they be?! Then there were our to go family style for the families that could not attend because of covid reasons. Charlie advise that the to go meals would be the same amount as the servings held at the restaurant. He charged us the SAME amount! Meanwhile, I checked the bag and we were missing so many meals. We were missing bread, clams casino, charcuterie, potatoes, and veal. Not to mention they only gave us a quarter of what was served at the restaurant and we paid full price. My cousin literally checked and she got like 5 shrimp. We also ordered 12 but they gave us only 9. In all we had 56 ppl in attendance and 9 to go but we paid for 75 ppl and did not even complain about the price. But here charlie goes complaining about him not making money off of an extra two platter of shrimp scampi and wouldn't even allow us to have to go cartons. The experience was absolutely disgusting and he has no compassion and regards for ppl who are mourning a death. He did not even have the decency to come speak to us at the end of the event. He sent one of his servers to close us out and advise the coworker that he stepped out. Meanwhile, I overheard someone said he was in his office. As an owner you should not be in the hospitality industry if you're not hospitable. I don't know if it was discrimination or his lack of decency but I implore anyone to not come here for repast or any meal. They even forgot to give my aunt back her credit card and she lived an hour away! If you want exceptional service and nice people try Gelone's near by. The service is exceptional and it's byob. We should've just stuck with gelones. This place is a joke. They do not deserve to be on the cemetery's referral restaurant! read more
