On a busy street in Juárez where you have the super chain American stuff or just bars. We went In close to closing and staff seemed annoyed we were there. We asked a few questions and they kept pointing to the special of the day which we both couldn't eat due to allergies. Finally got order in and got our sparking waters. Food came pretty fast and was actually pretty delicious. I'd go back with less staff / service expectations and just go for the food. Portions were huge and could be shared.

Great stop for lunch. Highly recommend if you're in the area. Shared a salad and pizza. Plenty of food for two.

Had dinner here twice. The lasagna was very good. Avoid the pizza. Service and ambiance were great. 4 stars.

Lasagna was decent. Skip the pizza, it was like they took cheap frozen pizza and added a few toppings to it.

I ended up having a carajillo which is espresso with liquor in it and a peanut butter crepe since we stopped in late a night after dinner.

The food was super! The pizza was to die for - if you love a crispy thin crust you will love this wood fired oven pizza. The Caesar salad was very traditional with anchovy puree - but not overpowering - a more oil based dressing not the creamy stuff that taste like mayo that you get in the US. The pasta was also very good - along with the house red wine. If you are from the US - the prices are amazingly cheap for the quality. I would absolutely go here again with friends, family, or a date - nice trendy but romantic interior - patio seating available. Takes credit card. The restaurant is on Ave. Independence - it has an address of Revillagigedo 18 - but it's in the downstairs of this building on the other side - which faces Ave. Independence. It's about the middle of the block between Revillagigedo and Luis Moya.

The spaghetti carbonara I ordered last night was awful, with the little bits of meat burned quite literally to a crisp. I probably should have sent it back. The woman server was good until she disappeared into the back to join her fellow waiters for dinner and it took forever to get the bill. The new male waiters are unfriendly, actually downright surly. The original waiters in the past were so nice and friendly. And the prices are now much higher than I remembered. Luigi, where are you? Don't make me go to the Osteria around the corner.

I was in Mexico…read moreCity for a week, and as much as I love Mexican food, I was ready for something different and as usual, Italian food was calling! I took a stroll in the historic district And came across a charming Italian restaurant called Nonsolo. The prices were moderate, the place looked inviting and so I decided to take a chance. It was my lucky day! Nonsolo Is right in the heart of the historical Zolaco. It has an old world charm and an inviting menu. As soon as I walked in I got a really nice vibe and liked my waitress. She spoke a little English and I spoke a little Spanish, and between the two of us we were able to communicate. I'm not so crazy about a QR code menu, but this seems to be standard fare these days. It was hard getting a signal on my phone to view the menu, so she signed me into their internet Wi-Fi and then there was no problem. I ordered pasta with clams in a white clam sauce. And of course, a Coke zero! While I was waiting, I enjoyed the bread and butter and taking in all the people strolling by. The pasta was really delicious and I hated to see the bowl empty. I sat for a while looking at the people in the street and took in the wonderful ambiance and that delicious meal before I headed to Ballet Folklorico. I would say my only criticism was that they charge 45 pesos for a small Coke zero which is the equivalent of $2.50. The pasta dish itself which was around $13 US dollars was well worth it. That was so delicious. Considering I almost always order an Italian dish with marinara sauce, it's a big compliment to Nonsolo to say I really loved the meal lol The place had been on my mind for 2 days and last night when it was my final night in Mexico City I decided to go back one more time and taste something with red sauce! I had spaghetti bolognese and it was also delicious. This time I decided to sit at a table outside and it was very enjoyable looking at all the passerbys and also I got entertained by a young man singing "My Way" in Spanish and a guitarist who played some traditional Mexican tunes. I gave them each a tip which I know they appreciated. After sitting for a while and enjoying the meal and experience, I headed over to the Palace of Fine Arts to see the national symphony play. All in all a great evening! So there you have it folks. If you get tired of tacos and quesadillas and tortillas, head over to Nonsolo and have a wonderful Italian experience! Ciao and adios!

We also got the gnocchi with Gouda and the de fungi pasta! Both were sooooooo good!!! It looks so simple but it's packs the flavor!! Also got the octopus risotto with the side salad. We were thinking that maybe we will skip the side salad because we have so much food, but we tried it and it didn't disappoint!! The dressing was so simple but so good!! Of course we also got the fig pizza and that was also *chefs kiss* as well! Everything from the fig, to the Gorgonzola cheese, to the honey and arugula, and down to the pizza crust were all sooo well put together!!! Last but not least, we also got the tiramisu!! It was a must!!! Even though we were so full, we had to get the dessert for the full experience!! The restaurant was really nice and had a great date night feeling! It's like you just stepped away to Italy for a little bit while having dinner! Workers were friendly and some spoke English as well so we were very grateful!
