This is the first cigar bar that I've enjoyed since relocating to North Carolina, the humidor is amazing. The scrubbers in the ceiling are off the chart. And if you know anything about scrubbers and the ceiling and being a woman, it is the best feeding in the well to come home and not have to scrub your hair out of cigar smoke. The staff is super friendly. I really enjoyed the bartender Destiny as she made an amazing old fashion for me.

Great experience at this JR lounge while in the area on business. Beer on tap, plus a decent spirit selection. Lots of cigar options to choose from at decent prices. Looks great inside. Chairs are very worn out and need to be replaced. I was here on a Wednesday and it closed at 9pm, which was disappointing. Our lounges in Orlando are open until midnight on Wed-Sat. But the server did let us order drinks and take them outside to the patio to have another stick after they closed.

A friend invited me to try this cigar lounge. Its tucked away in Mooresville. I was impressed when I walked in because the inside is huge. There is a bar to the left when you first walk in. We selected our cigars with the help of Ed. The bar has nice selections and bathrooms are clean If you're in the area stop by. This place is super relaxing.

Just a small part of their massive lounge.

There is nothing like this in Toronto! There will NEVER be anything like this in Toronto. Absolute pity and oh so unfair!!! This JR Cigar is located about 30 mins away from Charlotte Airport in Moorseville and given a chance to make the nearby area my home in the USA, I would. The area has miles and miles of waterfront and is absolutely beautiful. Casa de Montecristo by JR Cigar is a home away from home for me. I went there on my way to High Point (1.5 hours away) and it was a great idea - I also stopped there on the way back to the airport. The lounge is absolutely stunning and the humidor is a dream. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, even to the only Asian guy that was there. I dropped more cash than expected and after I paid and Yelp-Checked-In, I got an alert for 10% off my purchase! Ugh...$30 lost! I guess I'll keep that for my next trip to NC. I sat at the bar for a couple of hours smoking my purchases away - both times. Had a couple of Maker's Mark 46 and sampled some local brews. Dave the Beer-Tender is a great gentleman and all the people I met were as well. In the humidor, the ladies at cash were hilarious. They were signing along with the music and all smoking their own cigars. Yes...in the humidor, which was a perfect temperature and humidity with their high tech vaporizers. I'd go back in a heartbeat. If the totalitarian crazies governing our country would allow tobacconist to have their lounges back, us Canadians would spend our hard earned leftover cash - after they take most of it in taxes - here...instead of the USA. BTW - a cigar that costs $25 here - including all the taxes - is only around $9 down there! Cheers!

I love this new place. When you first go in you immediately step into a cigar lounge/man cave replete with tv's, tables, and leather comfort chairs. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They even let me borrow a cutter and lighter, which I had forgotten at home. The store itself is a bit smaller than it was in its former Statesville location. The cigar selection also looks a bit smaller and the prices appear to have gone up a tiny bit compared to previous. Nevertheless, I was able to find my favorite "go to" sticks. This will foreseeably become one of my favorite escapes. [Updated this review with a higher score to balance out the clueless review by a clueless Yelper which followed mine. The fact that she can't work a map nor a GPS is not a reflection on JR's. JR's is NOT hard to find nor is the traffic pattern heavy in the slightest. It sounds more like she begrudged making a cigar run for her hubby.]

This is one of the nicest lounges that I've ever been to. Furniture selection is on point. The humidor is huge! There's a full bar, which i didn't get around to trying. I'm going to make it a point to visit every time i am in North Carolina.

Time to sit back and relax. #SweetJane

The menu this time is theme park theme... again, a fun concept but not well executed. Pretty overwhelming, especially with the bartenders explaining the menu to us twice with the same spiel there is too much to look at it makes it difficult to pay attention to the drinks. I really did not love my drink (starbreaker?) you could only taste the lychee The bartenders not a vibe, it was not that comfortable to sit at the bar. They now serve food, hotdogs... which do NOT match the vibe at all, so that was interesting that their only food (other than the free popcorn) is not hot dogs..

We had a reservation for Blue Door for Saturday night, and it was amazing. Now while she was vaguely aware of their "spirited kingdom" menu, I had NO CLUE. It was the best surprise! They have such a cool menu with a full theme park map containing 4 lands with 4 cocktails each. The cocktails all match the type of ride they are, it's honestly such a cool idea, and it was so well done. I loved the art. I will say, I was skeptical that all of their drinks would actually work and worried that they'd be too caught up in the theme to make results but . . . Oh my goodness I was so impressed by the drinks here. I think a lot of bars these days can get so caught up in trying to be unique that their drinks become nearly undrinkable. This place definitely doesn't suffer there. They brought us an aperitif when we came in, but unfortunately I have a blueberry allergy so we skipped that. We had 4 drinks between the 2 of us and they were all awesome. I ordered the star breaker and the green dragon (what can I say, I love gin and a good coaster), and they were both balanced and tasty. My friend got the diablo and the neon shift, and they were both fantastic as well! The neon shift was served with a black light too which was super cute. The one drink I have to call out specifically is the green dragon. There was something about this drink that was so unique, I have genuinely never had anything like it but I would order it a thousand times over. It's so good. It keeps me up at night. It haunts my every bar order. I will be writing home about it. What else can I say about this place - the service was great, the atmosphere was fun, and the DJ was amazing. I thought "wow this guy really likes sax covers" only to look over and see him PLAYING HIS SAXOPHONE LIVE?? Iconic. This place was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing about it. The spirited kingdom menu will only be around for 6 months according to the waitress, so definitely catch it while it's there! If I'd heard about it sooner, I would've maybe descended upon them with 200+ theme park engineers in town for the conference (maybe it's a good thing I didn't know they were there until after it was over), but instead I will just say DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MAKE YOUR RESERVATION NOW

At no point was I informed that there was a designated patio area available for smokers. Instead of politely explaining their policy, staff became increasingly rude and confrontational, stating that they were "tired" of me going in and out. When I calmly asked what the issue was, since I was simply complying with the no-smoking rule, the situation escalated unnecessarily. The most concerning part of this experience was when staff threatened to call the police and then falsely claimed that I had refused to pay my bill. This was completely untrue. My purse and drink were still at the bar with my friends, and the bill was ultimately paid by one of my friends. There was never any attempt to avoid payment. Customer service should involve communication, professionalism, and respect. Unfortunately, this experience reflected none of those qualities. I understand that bars have policies that must be followed, but there is a respectful way to communicate those policies to customers. The behavior displayed by this staff was unprofessional, hostile, and completely unnecessary. The staff in the picture attached needs retraining. Her attitude from the time of my arrival was very negative and appeared as if she did not want to be there and also claimed to be the owner. If she is this is unacceptable and horrible customer service. If she is not then I hope management addresses these issues so that future customers are treated with the courtesy and respect they deserve. **Couldn't attach photos but go to their site on google to read reviews to see her picture.

Their bartenders are, to a person, superlative. Haley, Lexi, and Emily (still in-training, though…read moreshe has more-than-ample experience) were all professional and delightful this Boonerang weekend. If only the establishment would spring for cable during the World Cup, my experience of The Social as a "sports bar" would've been unparalleled compared to the other pretenders who decided the U.S. Open was the only "sport" worth airing. If I'd only come for wings and such, I'd've had no notes. But guys, your salads are culinarily (and decidedly) confused. My burrata was delivered atop a spiral of beefsteak wedges, nestled among wild greens, with zero seasoning, which is a hate crime when it comes to tomatoes; golden beets would've elevated it considerably, normally without much consideration... however. I'd thankfully chosen to add salmon, which was cooked to perfection, saving the dish. Haley suggested salt and pepper, which was a clutch move. Given the pleasant part of my previous experience, the salmon salad I ordered two nights later was even more discombobulated. Emily asked what kind of dressing I'd prefer, and I managed to avoid recoiling from the options provided: bleu cheese, ranch, thousand island... and then, finally, a cilantro-lime vinaigrette - the only suitable option. Instead of a deep plate, this was served essentially as a "bowl" that one might receive from delivery, only in a ceramic vessel. "Crispy" garbanzo beans (?!) were in one section of the plate, worse green olives than came with my martinis in another, four sad cucumber slices and pickled red onions in yet another, and in the saddest section, under-cooked yellow beets - half-run through a mandoline to make matchsticks, only still-connected at one end into slices to make Hell-deemed beet sporks. Again, all atop mixed greens, which are commonly available, even at Wal-Mart. I didn't deign to more than glance at my neighbors' plates, for fear I'd take even more offense, but the people making food at The Social are either under-staffed or inexperienced, as being unserious would likely wash out if anyone were to pay attention. Regardless, management is to blame for such disappointing experiences, and not their cooks, and certainly not their bartenders. Do better by Boone, and stop reinforcing the notion that standards are somehow lower in the High Country. Don't make me go to Macado's when I visit again next year.
