Best Mexican food around Ogden period. Authentic Mexican cultural food. They have mouth watering shrimp, asada, birria tacos that are not found anywhere else. Staff is great and restaurant has a great vibe. Menudo, chilaquiles are served on weekends and are also very good. Not to mention the aguachiles too. We were traveling from Oregon to Colorado and saw this on Yelp and decided to give it a try. It is small and nondescript but don't let the exterior fool you. The food is authentic and excellent! Came in on a Sunday with my wife and another couple, we ordered shrimp empanadas, Birria, and birria quesadillas, we all enjoyed the flavors and service that was provided here. Casa de Nena was honestly so bad. The chips and salsa were nice, but my husband had the chicken burrito special and i had the shrimp tacos, and both were barely edible. My shrimp tacos were rubbery shrimp chunks and a bunch of cheese, with more of the salsa providing the only flavor. I stole my husband's pico, but that only helped a little. We asked for more chips and salsa rather than eating more of our entrees, and even the little we did eat made us both very sick. The staff were very nice, but I'm struggling to understand how this place has the reviews that it does. read more

We walked in and the workers yelled from the back of the room to sit down, so we picked a seat (most of the seat options here are fold out tables and chairs) and my husband ordered a soda, they gave him a can which was odd. They brought their "salsa" with some chips, it was some type of liquid avocado lime sauce, and they never offered to refill. We ordered and we're keeping our minds open because there were such high reviews. I ordered the fried shrimp tacos as the reviews said they were great and my husband ordered the big plate of meat beans and rice with side of tortillas. The one good thing about this place was the tortillas, obviously Home made and were very good. When my order arrived it looked fine, I bit in and it was literally fried bread with EXTREMELY over cooked minced shrimp. No sauce, no fillers, nothing. Just fried bread with next to inedible shrimp in them. To top it all off it smells like sulfur and waste because they are in the middle of an industrial area with lots of factories. About an hour later we were fighting over the bathroom, we were both sick. Maybe minor food poisoning. So sad because their logo was a beautiful sugar skull and they had coco playing on the TV. read more
