I had the pleasure of staying at the Inn at the Shore for 3.5 weeks while working in the area. From the day I arrived, Bill and Linda were incredibly welcoming and always went out of their way to make sure everything was taken care of. The inn is clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The breakfasts were excellent and one of the many things that made staying here such a great experience. The location is also hard to beat-- a 2 block walk to the beach and a short drive to Main Street, making it easy to enjoy everything Belmar has to offer. What stood out most to me was the hospitality. Staying somewhere for nearly a month gives you a much different perspective than a quick weekend trip, and throughout my entire stay Bill and Linda consistently made me feel welcome and appreciated. Thank you both for making my extended stay feel like home. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend the Inn at the Shore to anyone visiting the area. 10/10. read more

This was such a nice spot to stay. Centrally located and charming area. EASy walk to the beach, boardwalk and main area of restaurants and shopping. We were there for a wedding weekend so dont feel like we got the whole vacation vibe visit but I will say they serve the best breakfast and pretty much suggested anything you could think of for choices. LInda and bill were amazing hosts. The rooms were clean and the owner was super helpful, answering phone call or texts immediately. I did give only 4 stars because ive stayed at other inns that offered an afternoon wine and cheese or just beverages in the afternoon. I was looking for an afternoon snack and could've used that. Having said that, there was microwave popcorn avail ! All in all, a very nice stay! read more

So I was planning a trip to the NJ shore to propose to my girlfriend the week before Labor Day. I checked out a bunch of spots but given the pending holiday and one of the last few weekends of the summer, a lot of places were filled to capacity. Then I stumbled upon this hidden gem after extensive Yelp research. The reviews were amazing (almost too good to be true) but I decided to call and see if the owners had any availabilities left. From the minute Linda picked up the phone, I knew I was in good hands. I explained my pending proposal and was immediately met with congratulatory words and offers to assist including a ride from/to the train station and a willingness to run to the store for any materials needed for a flawless proposal. Upon arrival, we were met at the station by Linda's husband, Bill (a really friendly and chill guy with a good sense of humor and knowledge of the area). When we arrived at the Inn (too early to check in), I had to play it cool and hand my bag too Linda to hold (with the ring in the bag!). I was obviously nervous but I had gave her the heads up prior to arriving and she did a great job keeping everything safe while we were at the beach. The staff (some were Bill/Linda's children, some had been employed by the previous Inn owners) were all amazing and inviting. Everything was above & beyond my expectations. And get this, after the proposal and calling of all our family/friends, one of my fiancée's friends found out which Inn we were staying at, called Linda out of the blue at 9pm and requested that she pick a bottle of champagne with wine glasses and put in our room to surprise us. Not only did Linda get the bottle, her and her family decorated our door and room with some cute congratulatory messaging. It was so thoughtful and reiterated the Linda & Bill's dedication to their guests' happiness. The rooms were clean, the house was nicely decorated, the owners were amazing and she said "yes" so it's a memory that we'll cherish forever. Just returned from a 4 day stay at The Inn At The Shore. Such a great place! Our room was so very cozy and comfortable. It was decorated in a Victorian Theme. Linda and Bill are the best Hosts. Very accommodating to any of our requests. I have to say, that staying at the Inn was like staying with friends. And the Breakfasts!!! Oh my goodness! If nothing else, make a date to stay so you can get some of Bill's HUGE pancakes or the French Toast. Both came with very fresh fruit and were both equally delicious! We had the option of having breakfast inside at the dining room table, or out on the lovely porch. We love the outdoors so we ate breakfast outside. The location of the Inn is also very convenient to not only the beach, but to downtown as well. Great find in the shore town of Belmar! read more

My husband and I have been coming to the Inn At The Shore for the last few years, spending a few nights a summer there and every experience is honestly better then the last. This year is definitely no different despite the concern and uncertainty of eveything going on in the world. They are open for business and taking all precautions necessary to keep everyone safe. They are functioning at 1/2 capacity with every room having their own bathroom and with other cleaning procedures in place. The Inn is so well maintained with a huge wrap around porch out front, a ton of charm, and lovely rooms with super comfy beds! It's also 2 blocks from the beach! Saving the best for last, Bill's breakfast! My husband dreams about his eggs benedict and corn beef hash and can't wait to get his hands on it when we get there. There is no menu and they will make just about anything your heart desires and everything is sooo tasty and fresh! We have been staying at The Inn while waiting to move into our new home and I don't want to leave. If you never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast this is the one! The beds are extremely comfortable and Bill makes the most amazing breakfasts anything you wish. There is a great big wrap around porch to sit and rock a little and it's ONE block to the beach! Linda keeps the place spotless and they follow all the Covid guidelines. Great to fill your lungs with fresh air while walking the boardwalk and all the eateries are in walking distance. The positives: it is a gorgeous house and chintzed to the max (if you like that sort of thing). The hosts are fine and are devoted to running their property. It is also very close to the ocean, the location is ideal. What could be better: the AC unit in my tiny room either ran on or off, no temp setting or energy saving feature so in the middle in the night, It got too cold and I had to turn on the light, stand on the bed and switch it off. The other thing was that there were vacancies in the house but we got a shared bathroom down the hall, (we didn't notice we picked that when we selected the room). When we checked in, we would have gladly paid for an upgrade for a private bath but that wasn't offered. Someone banged on the bathroom door when they thought I was taking too long even though there are other restrooms in the house. Not quite so relaxing...but overall, it's was OK. read more

I had the pleasure of visiting Inn At The Shore this past weekend for my husband's staff retreat, and I had a great time. The rooms and all the shared facilities were extremely immaculate and service provided by the owners was absolutely perfect. They were very sweet and accommodating. For two mornings we enjoyed a delicious breakfast out on the wrap porch, which was such a serene experience. Being only a couple blocks from the beach made it that much better. We spent an over night here for a valentines day hide away. As good as good gets. We stayed in "emily" the room was perfect - the whole place is very clean, Bill and Linda are wonderful hosts. I could not have asked for a better place to stumble upon for a season-end escape to Belmar. This is what a bed and breakfast should be - so quaint, cozy and warm. Bill and Linda are incredible people and really made the place welcoming. The continental breakfast was great and there was also made-to-order breakfast food that Bill made. I had scrambled eggs with home fries. So delicious! The inn itself is full of inn-like quirks like wall paper and cool pieces of furniture, but I loved that about it! The beds was comfortable and we had a good night's rest. The common areas were also full of things to do. We didn't get to take advantage of it, but I could see myself going back with some friends to full enjoy the rocking chairs and board games! I highly recommend staying here! read more

Stayed at this Inn for the first time over this past Memorial Day weekend. We've booked back in for the Fourth of July weekend. You will not be disappointed. A short walk to the boardwalk and beach. You can also walk up to town to great restaurants. Breakfasts are delicious. The large wrap around porch is great for coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon. Innkeepers Rosemary and Tom make you feel at home. The "Emily" room has a king size bed, bath with Jacuzzi, and is very comfortable. I highly recommend. read more

Stayed here this past weekend with some friends and we absolutely loved it! The owners Bill and Linda were extremely friendly and accommodating and Bills breakfast was amazing! Our room was very clean and had great amenities (towels, robes, soaps, shampoos, conditioner, etc). We did a room with a shared bathroom which we were a little concerned about but it was not an issue at all! Our room had a sink we could wash up in and there were 3 bathrooms so there was never a wait or any issues there. So close to the beach and shopping/ restaurants as well! I was looking for a quick weekend getaway for my wife's birthday which fell on a Saturday (Sept. 26th) this year. Several of the B&Bs in the Belmar area were very well reviewed on Yelp. I reached out to the Inn At the Shore and Linda returned my call within 10 minutes. I explained to her the situation and at 9pm on a Friday night she took the time to email me several recommendations for my wife's bday dinner on Saturday night. When we arrived we were taken to our room. Unfortunately the weather was windy that day and the beach was out of the question. As a result, I took my wife to the outlet stores for a few hours. Upon arriving back at the Inn around 5pm on Saturday, the dining room was set up with an afternoon snack which consisted of assorted fruits, cheeses, crackers and both red and white wine. The birthday girl was pleased with the spread. Although I didn't read about it in any of the reviews, the main lobby area features a full sized pool table! This was perfect as my wife loves to shoot pool. After playing 5 games we headed up to get ready for dinner. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of our stay was our Sunday experience. The Neely family owned and operated an Italian restaurant for years prior to taking over the Inn and Bill is an amazing chef. Breakfasts are made to order. I had a western omelet with pepper jack cheese and sausage with hash browns and a side of bacon. Wife had two eggs over easy with bacon and grits. The meal was amazing, as good if not better than the best diner you've had breakfast at. In addition to the made to order meals, there are muffins and toast you can toast yourself along with coffee, juice, cereal and yogurt set out so you can help yourself. We finished our meals and asked Linda if we could have an extended checkout time which she granted us (12pm to 1pm). With 3 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats and a lizard back home, we don't get much time to relax. That's just what we were able to do up until checkout time. My wife and I are both avid NFL fans. Eagles for me, Panthers for my wife who was born in NC. On our way out we asked Linda and Bill for local bars with good food that had Sunday NFL ticket. Bill and Linda have 5 kids, 3 sons and 2 daughters. Although we didn't meet the boys this trip we got to meet the girls - Katie and Hallie. Both sweethearts and very helpful. I mention this because it just so happened that Katie had started working at a nearby sports bar called Clancy's Tavern. That's where we headed upon leaving the Inn at 12:45pm. We were able to settle into a bar side table in Katie's section where I had a good view of the Jets Eagles game and the Mrs. could see the Saints Panthers game. Katie was wonderful as a server (it runs in the family) and both of our teams won. We hope to see the Neely family again soon. read more

This place was so nice! Had a lovely mid-week getaway with my boyfriend- he's from overseas and had never been to the Jersey Shore before. Bill and Linda were so nice and accommodating! They gave us all sorts of information on things to do in the town or nearby and were incredibly friendly and sweet! I accidentally left my phone there without even realizing it, and Bill kindly went out of his way and met us at the train station to return it to me! And the breakfast was delicious- Bill cooked anything and everything! We ate on the lovely porch breathing in the fresh sea air- only 3 blocks from the beach! There are lots of games and a pool table in case there is a rainy day. The town itself is lovely and walkable and easy transport from NYC. Incredibly beautiful serene and peaceful.
