In 2022, the tiny strip mall was completely refurbished. When my favorite local Mexican grocer Mazfresco stopped selling grated cotija, I discovered that Mi Favorita was one of the few markets in town where I could find three different brands of finely grated cotija cheese! The array of Mexican spices and dried chiles is substantial, among the best I've seen in Nashville. The employees were quite friendly with me. There are reports of low-quality meat at the carnicería, but I cannot attest to that.

Towards the back you will find the to go restaurant and I do have to say they have the best steak quesadilla in ALL of Nashville. You can tell they marinate their steak for a long time because the flavor is out of this world! The cheese is always so fresh.
