Thank you, Kroger, for renovating this location and improving the store! This has been my neighborhood Kroger for the last 5 years. It was nice for a quick pick up of item or two when I needed something last minute, but I never did my full grocery shopping there. This location shut down for 6 months to add to their footprint and bring in expanded item offerings, the Murray's cheese shop, and a Starbucks. Now it's back and I'm loving it! Isles are wider and I love the cheese and deli options (plus the olive bar). Only downside is parking. The site lost some of its spots with the expansion and during busy times the lot fills up quick. The renovation is amazing. Aisle stocked up nicely and its HUGE. And they have Oye coffee- get in there!!! I wish there were more employees because its a little confusing to navigate the newness, but the starbucks is a great add to the area as well!! read more

Looking at this store from the outside, just know that the left side of the store is oddly laid out. We walked in, and there was a big area with seasonal items stocked just inside the store close to the doors on the left side. I thought that this was the far left side of the store, but, nope, there are still more aisles hidden behind the shelving units. Weird. Lots of parking available, but you need to watch out for cars speeding in the parking lot, especially at night, which is when it's more difficult to notice whenever it's raining that the parking lot closer to the Kroger gas station is not squared off like people (including me) expect it to be. We were on a mission to look for some provisions that would tide us over during our hotel stay of 3 nights. We had everything that we needed in the hotel, so we could pick up just about anything. However, most of the things we wanted to get were in the frozen food section, and much of that department was very low in inventory. Oh well ... One of the things that I needed to get was a gallon of distilled water, which wasn't where the rest of the bottled water were. While we were going through the self checkout process, we asked the employee who was monitoring everyone if they carried gallon containers of distilled water, and she said, "Yes, of course, it's at the front of the store. I'll get it for you." And she walked away to retrieve a gallon. However, she was delayed by another employee, and they spent about 5 minutes talking. At the same time, our self checkout register stopped accepting anything we scanned, so we had to wait for an employee anyway, and it turned out that there was only one employee who was covering the self-checkout area. *sigh* She finally came back with the water, and then cleared the register issue so that we could finish checking out and leave. I love this Kroger, it is located outside the downtown towards the German town. They have sufficient parking so that is never a concern. The quality of fresh produce including vegetables, fruits and greens are quite good. They have a huge collection of products although this supermarket isn't too large, which is honestly good in way for you can easily navigate and find your regular staples. They have an isle of medical requirements and a sushi station as soon as you enter, besides a section for fresh bakes, charcuterie and cheese. They also have a huge isle for granola bars, wine, daily care, grains and snacks. Kroger is really accessible from my area of residence so I always go there for fetching anything that I require in a short span. Additionally there is always an armed security personal right outside the store. I always opt for self check because its faster, although Kroger is not too crowded. The team at the Kroger also very helpful to assist. I really like Kroger for is small accessible supermarket that has everything that I generally need to sail through a week. read more

This location sits on the corner of Rosa Parks and Monroe just outside of downtown Nashville. We happened to be in town over the weekend and needed some snacks and other items that we left back home, so naturally Kroger is where we ended up, as it is our go-to spot in Atlanta! This Kroger is a weird mix of updated and not updated. Additionally, it was easily one of the strangest layouts I have seen for a Kroger. They had an impressive fruit/veggie section, along with a sushi and bakery area that looked newer. It is definitely a smaller location and that has not been fully flipped into the new age...so, hopefully that is coming soon for them! With this reduced size, we did miss a few items that we were hunting for on the snack, frozen food and pharmacy sections. Along with the store itself, the parking lot leaves a little to be desired as well. Its laid out a bit odd with everything at an angle due to its location. Service was ok, as we passed a few associates as we were looking for a few things and none seemed interested in helping. Once we determined we weren't finding what we needed, we called it a night and hit the self check. There was an attendant working the registers, but she was quite busy chatting up her co-worker about the weekend plans. We had to call her over so we could get our beer. Once we got her over, she was at least friendly. Overall, this Kroger was rough around the edges from the parking lot to the registers. We happened upon a better Kroger on the East side of the city that we hit up the next time something was needed. read more

Friendly service despite being the end of the month and many people waiting in line at the customer service.... and a police man watching outside. The sushi corner was rich and colored, and the pistachio collection has the most variety I have ever seen. See the picture. Restroom was ok but not impressive: they did not like the floor. I've lived near this Kroger for a decade & I try to give them business, but almost always regret attempts. The produce area is well kept because there's a good produce manager. The rotisserie chickens in the deli are fantastic. There are cashiers who've been there a while who are trying. But management doesn't really seem to understand the problems. I have no interest in scanning my own cart full of groceries, especially when there's little room for more than two of my reusable grocery bags. And if I'm providing my own labor, I'm going to require an employee discount. That said - there are ten lanes of registers, but only one is staffed and open - make this make sense. And none of them have an employee bagging groceries. Pick up the trash in the parking lot, before it blows into the adjacent neighborhoods. Finally that security guard doesn't inspire confidence when all he's looking at is his phone. read more

Do not use this pharmacy. I repeat. DO NOT use this pharmacy. They don't answer the phone, they take forever to refill prescriptions, they take forever to acknowledge you in the line for pick up, and they are very rude. I was sitting in the drive through pharmacy lane for 10 mins and rang the bell three times waiting for someone to help me. I could see through the window that the workers were staring at their computers and not moving an inch to assist me. Then, I decided to go into the store with the hope that maybe that'll be easier to get my prescription. Nope. Inside the store, there was a line of people waiting. The two pharmacy workers were still looking at their computers and not acknowledging those of us in the prescription pick up line. I asked the people at the front of the line how long they had been waiting and they said at least 15 mins. After hearing that, I decided to leave. I did not have any more time to dedicate to waiting in this prescription pick up line for who knows how long. Seriously save your time and frustration and go to a different pharmacy. I tried to be empathic at first because they are short staffed, but after multiple issues with their customer service I could not take it anymore. I have since moved onto a different Kroger pharmacy location that is wayyyyyy better than this one. read more

We do not have Kroger in LA but we have their umbrella grocery stores. Similar to Ralph's and Food4Less. Labels look the same. Pretty sketchy parking lot. Lots of random people creeping around. Water is located right in front of the store. I walked all around the aisles looking for it. Came for a few trip supplies, got in and out as quick as possible. read more

Also they seemed out of stock on some stuff and their fruit section the quality looks really sad. The blueberries were about $5-6ish and sad and bruised looking. Convince is key my friends, but this Kroger leaves much to be desired. Things seem to be laid out strangely (why is a large selection of sparkling water past the registers?) and though the interior is better after some renovations (the organic section is pretty decent) but it could be neater. Also, the staff. I know that they are mostly high school kids and you can only expect so much, but the last time I was here the girl checking me out was in no rush at all. There was an issue with the card machine and she didn't even try to fix it, she lazily called someone else over to look at it. This Kroger is 100. Regardless of convenience, this establishment is 100% H-O-O-D. Reminds me when I lived back in Memphis. The only issues that I have experienced here is that customer service and customer attentiveness is lacking. You just get the vibe that even the workers don't want to be there. Again, this is not pointing out anyone. Just the overall perception of the store when shopping there. So I know this Kroger gets a bad rap, as can be seen in these reviews. But the only real complaint that I have is the occasionally questionable crowd, which is hardly Kroger's fault. There are two Krogers that I frequent, the one by my work in Goodlettsville and the one by my house (this one). And when it comes to the organization of the store, this one blows the Goodlettsville one out of the water. Things are easy to find (especially if you use the app). It's always been well stocked in my experience. I don't know why everyone is complaining about there not being enough produce. I always find plenty of produce here. Yes, it can get very crowded in here, but again, I don't fault the store for that. The store is usually fully staffed with helpful cashiers. It is annoying having to find my way around other customers though, I'll admit. Yes, there are occasionally beggars in the parking lot. But what else do you expect in a sketchy neighborhood? I rate this five stars because the employees are helpful, products are easy to find (unlike the Goodlettsville Kroger), and it's always well stocked. This place is scary... possibly the worst Kroger I have ever been to in my life. In the past year I have experienced people pulling guns in aisles, people trapping me (while buying hummus) for money and customers in fist fights with cashiers. Classy. The crowd is questionable at best and that is why there is always 1-2 police officers standing in the entrance where the carts are - but the problem is they are half asleep. The parking lot is an entirely different nightmare of it's own with very limited parking spaces and people approaching your car for money. The cashiers are taking smack to each other, on their cell phones and throwing your stuff down the belt. I only go here when I'm desperate for something because it's close to home. They do have a small organic section that is ok, but otherwise, I would say go anywhere else. read more

When I lived on the East Side, I was impressed with my neighborhood Kroger as it was spacious, offered up a nice produce section and the natural foods offerings were legit too. This Kroger... not so much. Everything from the layout of the store and size to the pitiful produce section and tiny natural foods area were a major step down. That along with the fact that at least 6 staff members were just hanging out up front by their grill/smoker instead of actually committing to their tasks, like you know, customer service. Sigh. I only popped into this Kroger for some celery and beets after striking out at the Nashville Farmer's Market but I doubt that I will make that error again. read more

Rarely have I come to this Kroger that plainly states " Entrees and sides" from 11 am to 2 pm, and have ANY food in the warmer before 11:30 or later. This Kroger has gone through some excellent changes in the last year. As a neighbor, I frequent this Kroger at least twice a week. Upon first moving to this neighborhood in 2011, I noticed that this Kroger was noticeably old, smelled rather musty, was not friendly and didn't seem to have a focus on product variety and freshness. But now, it's 2015 and this Kroger deserves multiple accolades and many additional good reviews on Yelp. They've completely redone the inside of the store: new exterior, new shopping carts, new flooring, new shelves, new registers. They've added a sushi bar (fantastic), a full Boar's Head deli, a great cheese section, an expanded natural foods section, and many more produce options and shelving. The flowers are always fresh, the produce is fully stocked and ripe, and the employees are mostly very friendly (although this is the area that can still use some betterment). Being in an urban setting, this grocery store is constantly needing to cater to all kinds of customers. If they don't have a product you like, simply write the manager an email and you'll most likely soon see the product on the shelves. Looking forward to seeing this Kroger thrive - and I'm glad to see it getting some much-needed focus and attention. read more

Me and my fiancé were sitting in the parking lot going over a quick list of what all we need when we had a man who I'm assuming is homeless come up and urinate on a tree about 3 feet in front of us. He did not even attempt to cover his genitals or stop when I started honked the horn and yelling at him to put his penis away in the middle of this parking lot. After he finished he went back to his blanket on the curbside like nothing happened. We hadn't been there a minute with car still running before he came and urinated. This Kroger has a good selection, but often is missing produce. The staff seems pretty low and I don't usually have an easy time asking questions when problems come up. There is an older lady who asks me incriminating questions every time I go to self-checkout. One time she said that she's "seen it all" when I tried to use one paper bag to save on plastic for my groceries. There is another young man who works there who is always friendly and talks to a lot of the customers. Most of the time I can find what I want. This Kroger is an absolute annoyance to try to shop at. Every time I walk through the parking lot to or from my car, there are NUMEROUS panhandlers who are rude and pushy. Some hang out under the "No Soliciting" sign. They have "security" guards who completely ignore the vagrants. The store itself would be fine if it were kept well stocked, but it isn't. It's not worth risking your safety walking through the parking lot and being harassed to shop here. WORST Kroger EVER!!! Apparently the employees and Managers have no desire to assist their customers and can just choose not to do their jobs whenever they feel like it. Refused to come to the customer service desk to allow several of us customers to get money orders, pay bills, etc. even though we were all telling them we needed their assistance. All the negative reviews on this location seem really dramatic to me. I've lived down the street from this Kroger for 2 years and never had problems. If you have realistic expectations of human people working for an inexpensive grocery chain, then you can see that everyone here is working hard and doing their job. It's not a Whole Foods, but they're affordable and convenient. I've had tons of great experiences here. I give it 4 stars because I wish it was open 24 hours. read more

Major major improvements have been done to this location ! I hoped& wished for better products ... & it happened ! This location has a major facelift . There's a great section for healthy snacks . Monroe has fresh sushi now ... Nicer selection of beers. Great cheese selection & deli meats . Now I don't have to drive all the way to publix on west end ! read more
