Credit where credit is due, I commend any establishment that can pivot gracefully when a very large party arrives unexpectedly. A communication error left the restaurant unprepared for the volume of guest that decended upon them all at once. With that in consideration, the staff was very accommodating, organized and efficient. Unfortunately the food was not as good. The chips and salsa taste fresh from the shelf. Open and serve. The rice was nearly flavorless and I suspect that the refried beans come in bags of powdered bean flakes. The ACP chicken had the over dried texture meat that's been precooked or held too long on the hot line. Even worse...the frozen food fish patties with barely dressed tri- colored bag slaw. Acceptable for a busy mom fish taco family dinner. But I expect so much more from every restaurant. The Chipotle Shrimp was the better of the entrees that I tried. The cream sauce was too thick, almost like a country gravy. However the shrimp were nicely cooked and the grilled onions were the best thing on the plate. I'm going to start this review by saying this, the taco salad made my mother sick. Within minutes of eating she was getting sick. Also, the prices have increased tremendously. I get the prices of things are increasing but, a small side of sour cream should not cost a customer $3. I work for a food distribution company, so I am well aware of the cost restaurants are paying. But more to the point not only are prices increased but the quality and portion sizes are decreasing. I always order the same dish. Normally it is really good and plenty of chipotle sauce. This time they looked like they came from Taco Bell and barely any sauce. My husband ordered a pina colada and let's just say it was a premixed slushy and I would be surprised if there was alcohol in it at all, reminded me of a 711 slurpee. Shouldn't even put not even one star ,yesterday I was getting sat with my family and noticed when two employees were having some type of argument one of the guys was name calling a girl server and she seem like she was upset and defending herself and the boss no where to be found than I saw another guy / the guy server believe his name is Elias go up to her and say stuff to her when she didn't even speak or say anything to him at first just find it weird how the boss didn't come up till moments after just a mess. read more

Just an average Mexican restaurant. Been here a few times trying them out and trying to figure out their niche as most restaurants have one. Unfortunately, there's nothing that really sets them apart. The food is similar to a lot of other Mexican dishes. The salsa is nothing special, may even come from a jar. The service is mediocre as we have had to wait for refills or utensils more than once even when business is slow. The good thing here is that they haven't created a reason to be less than average. I will say that if you're just looking for Mexican without a wait then this is a good option except on Sundays after church. It seems to be pretty busy then. read more

This is our first time here. Great place and great food. We are here for a birthday party. We have a huge party and the staff here took great care of us. They had our orders out very quickly. On our way up 85 and found this on Yelp. Sure glad we stopped in for lunch! The parking lot was packed (always a good sign), but this is a big place so we were seated right away. Very clean and tastefully decorated (unlike some of those over the top tacky Mexican joints). Fast and very friendly service. Let me say something about the fast part - you've probably been in those Mexican restaurants that get the food out to you 2 minutes after you order. You just know your meal has been pre-made and sitting under a heat lamp somewhere...and it tastes like it. Not here though! We waited about 10 minutes for our entrees (while enjoying the complimentary chips and salsa and some yummy cheese dip that we ordered) and they came out fresh tasting, so obviously made to order. Nice! Hubby had the fried chimichangas. They were crispy with excellent flavor. My #1 combo (beef taco and 2 cheese enchiladas with a side of rice) was terrific as well. Hubby and I differed a bit on the rice. He loved it, while I thought it lacked a little flavor. It was obviously fresh though - not crunchy like it had been sitting around. I also ordered the guacamole salad (I like the lettuce & tomatoes on my enchilada), and the guac was fantastic, fresh flavors, it wasn't mushy like it came out of a jar like you find in most Mexican places. My only complaint - there wasn't enough of it! The kid had a cheeseburger and fries, so we won't even go there, but he loved it and cleaned his plate. All in all it was a really good lunch and well worth the short hop off the highway. We especially appreciated the fried tortilla chips with the cinnamon sugar, whipped cream and strawberry sauce that came complimentary at the end of our meal. I had been thinking or ordering sopapillas, but was too full. These fit the bill nicely! All that food and we got out of there for $28. Awesome! read more

Yeah it's not that great. My chips were not edible, and looked around and found that no one else was eating the chips. They were overcooked, tasted like grease also I had some really old chips. We went here once before COVID, once just after they'd reopened, and again just over a week ago. The last time was actually better than the first, food-wise and service-wise. They are seating customers very far apart, and everyone is wearing masks. Each person gets their own salsa, but the chips are shared by the table. Our entrees were fresh and fast. I travel for a living and have also lived in Mexico for 2 years, this is not authentic Mexican food and I struggle to say it was even Texmex. I got a smother burrito. Tortilla wasn't even wrapped around the filling it was just placed on top with the corners tucked into the beans. I will say the queso chorizo was decent and service was friendly. Food didn't taste bad just is a far stretch from "the best in NC". Go in with realistic expectations knowing it's a subpar but cheap restaurant and you won't be disappointed. read more

We were headed home one day from a day of shopping and were in the mood for some mexican food and looked up what was close by and decided on Mi Casa. So glad we did. Excellent food!! We have been here 4 times in a week and a half. We even went this week for our anniversary. Everything and I mean everything we have gotten has always been absolutely delicious!! The salsa is great as is the guacamole and the Mi Casa dip too. The food always came out fast.
