Our server's name was Avalon, and she was superb! Very knowledgeable, friendly, & attentive. We went out for my birthday. I like that their menu isn't always the same, like it is at Fat Calf Brasserie. Our food was great!

The waitstaff is amazing! They are so friendly and welcoming when you arrive, making sure you are comfortable and asking about your evening. The place is super neat with the old house decor. The food was all really delicious. We will definitely be back.

So Shreveport redeemed itself for me with this place. When I say I highly recommend , I highly recommend It is rich is history and charm. The staff is knowledgeable. The owners are a couple and he is the chef and his wife makes rounds to the table and is so welcoming. Rolls good 10/10 Character 10/10 Boa bun 6/10 the meat was good but I didn't care for the veggies and bread Ceasar salad 8/10 Each item is served by course Sorbet to cleanse the pallet 10/10 Red snapper in brown butter lemon sauce topped with lump crab meat 100/10 This red snapper was the best I have had they were not stingy with the crab meat. It was originally served with just butter noodles but I asked for Parmesan noodles and the chef delivered The bread pudding came highly recommend but it wasn't for me. I think if they add the pumpkin pie topping to the bread pudding we would be on to something I'm definitely going back

It has great atmosphere and service. The food is amazing! The Roasted Tomato and Gouda Soup is fantastic. This is a must try especially if there is a special occasion.

    Argentine Ribeye with Cilantro Chimichurri

Our dinner at The Mabry House was wonderful. I'd recommend it for a large or small group looking for an intimate atmosphere. The menu is complete with options that are great for sharing. Amongst our group of 10 we shared 2 crab cakes, 2 crawfish cheesecakes, and of course the bread. For my entree I ordered the ribeye with the Cilantro Chimichurri on the side, it was cooked perfectly and incredibly flavorful.

I passed on the calamari but it looked delicious and the portion was very large. For entrees i had the halibut - pan seared almond crusted halibut, Parmigiano risotto, kale and cherry tomato sauté. The halibut was delicious, came out HOT but not overcooked or dry which is incredibly difficult for a fish dish and was a nice change. My guest had the red snapper - grilled snapper, Yukon scalloped potatoes, crabmeat, lemon garlic cream, crispy spinach and she enjoyed it immensely For the ending we split the peanut butter pie. My Confession - I love sweets ! There , I said it! And confessing, this was the best peanut butter pie ive ever had. Peanut butter was whipped and light, nice crust and just enuff chocolate to add the cocoa dimension Service was great from my guy Lawrence and the price of dinner was acceptable for the quality. I look forward to visiting again

But table seating was available. After taking a couple minutes to decide. I chose the shrimp poboy. It was delivered at 12:05, with the tails on. Before I could eat, I had to pull them off. It was fantastic. So I guess I'll be okay. By 12:20 I was cashing out lunch for one $20. They issued a 20% discount for my military id.

When in Shreveport on a Monday, your dining options are...limited (unless you fancy a casino…read moredinner, which we did not). So, we ended up here--the only place open that wasn't serving up blackjack with a side of fries. First up: water. Now, if you've never had Louisiana tap water, let me tell you--it tastes like someone steeped a bag of potting soil in it for 12 hours. I was about to blame this restaurant until a little Google dive informed me that most of Louisiana water just tastes like this due to geosmin and MIB (algae bloom byproducts, apparently). Fun fact that nobody asked for, but here we are. Anyway, we pivoted HARD to cocktails. I ordered a Belvedere martini, which was well-made by Dustin but oddly expensive considering this wasn't exactly a swanky downtown hotspot. For dinner: Hubbs went for shrimp fettuccine, and while it was fine, it didn't exactly make us want to write home about it. I, on the other hand, ordered Natchitoches meat pies, thinking they'd be the real deal imported from the famous place there. Oh, how naive I was. Instead, they were sad little impostors, baked instead of fried, and just...meh. Final bill: almost $100 for four drinks and two average entrées. If we're dropping that kinda cash, I'd prefer a meal that didn't require an emergency cocktail switch just to recover from the water.
