I was delighted to see that the renovation has beautifully enhanced the ambiance while maintaining the excellent qualities that have always made your place stand out. The food remains absolutely amazing, with the quality of your meats continuing to be fresh and top-notch. The service was impeccable as always, with Ken providing attentive and professional care. He truly knows how to take care of customers, ensuring that every guest feels valued and well looked after. For those visiting your establishment for the first time, I would highly recommend making a reservation to guarantee a smooth and pleasant experience.

Still don't know what these are because the waitress dumped them on the table and walked away. We asked her but she didn't say..

I came here for an employee dinner and it was not a great experience. Plenty of parking in the lot, located in a small strip mall. They weren't very busy, maybe one other table, and we stood at the front for over 15 minutes waiting for someone to seat us. We sat down and waited another 20 minutes or so for menus. When the waitress came over she said only "ready?" And I told her we were still waiting for menus. She looked annoyed and finally brought 2 mes us for the 5 of us. Also, the place was practically empty but they crammed us into the smallest table and put a chair on the end and it was an....interesting choice knowing how much food comes out for Japanese BBQ. We asked the waitress how to order since it was our first time there and she said "pick one." I still don't know what that meant so I let someone else just "pick one." I'm still unclear on how to order at this place, although I've been to dozens of Japanese BBQ places and had great experiences. She was not helpful and I had to ask her 4 or 5 times for drinks. And each time we needed to order more food we had to get up and actually flag her or someone else down. (Did I mention there was only ONE other party of 2 at the restaurant at the time?!) I was pretty frustrated with the entire experience and didn't end up eating anything despite paying for the over $500 check for my team. We waited over 30 minutes for the check and I had to stand up for several minutes just looking for ANY employee to bring us our check so that we could leave. I do NOT recommend this spot, find literally any other Japanese BBQ spot, because they don't seem to actually want any business and it was an overall terrible (and expensive) experience. We were there on June 3 around 5:30PM.

My sister picked this place & I'm so glad she did. The food was so good. The meats were very tender & premium quality. There are three pricing tiers, I forgot to take a picture of the menu but it's definitely affordable for the quality of meats you get. The meats are perfectly marinated, didn't really need to dip it in any sauce. They have hand rolls on the menu and many other items. We were too hungry, so couldn't get many photos. The service wasn't the greatest on the day I went. I wish they were a little more attentive to us as they were not very busy. The restaurant is very clean and on the smaller side. Definitely recommend you to try it! It is so good!!

If you've been to chubby cattle, this place is very comparable. The quality and cuts are the same and I highly recommend the spices on the table. Premium menu is legit and so worth it. This is definitely worth your money compared to chubby cattle. Plenty of parking and no wait on a Monday night. Service is super quick as well. It's more of a relaxed environment and less overstimulating than chubby but I think it would be hard to do a large party here considering they have really small tables.

I was invited to Holy Cow for a business meeting since it was a fair halfway point for the three of us to meet in this area. When I looked up the menu ahead of time, I was pretty excited at the wagyu selection. The plaza has many good dining spots and plenty of parking. I had a Yelp Reservation but it didn't seem needed at opening time. The restaurant was on the smaller side, but it didn't get to busy during our time there. I feel like they are a direct competitor to the chubby-brand but the chubby group is doing a better job with marketing and execution. Our waitress seemed to be the only front of house staff that we encountered. There was a language barrier. She was terrible at explaining the menu and she missed some of the items we ordered. It would have been confusing if I didn't already read some reviews on the business prior. So we decided on the Supreme Tier ($59/person) menu where we could each pick 1 special meat, and 1 special dish, and it's all you can eat of the rest of the meats. I can't recall the special meats we order because she didn't really tell us what was what, but I remember liking 2 out of 3. For the special dish I wanted the uni scallop carpaccio, but they were out. Instead we decided to get the langoustine sashimi with uni. That was pretty good. From the regular AYCE selection we did the M9s, the Signature Cut upon recommendation, short rib, beef tongue, tiger shrimp, zabuton. It was hard to reorder because we were trying to reorder the ones we liked. I told her it was the marbling one and she said it was signature cut, then she brought out something with NO MARBLING AT ALL. Sigh. I can say confidently that the zabuton was good cause we ordered that as an alone order for one round. From their sides their sesame tofu was one of the favorites and the pickled items like the cucumbers and kimchi were good reliefs to the meat heavy meal. My colleagues enjoyed the squid salad too. I also munched on some edamame. Not that any of these stand out but it was needed to offset the wagyu. I feel like this restaurant has potential but the waitress was not attentive, had poor communication, and missed some of our orders. At the end she kept insisting for us to write her a review for a free soda... not sure how many of these reviews are for that free soda... but pass... I don't need your free soda! I need my orders brought out correctly.

TLDR - Good service, Good parking, Food is below average. This is a really small restaurant that serves ayce wagyu at a pretty fair price point. The only thing is, thats really all they do. theres not much to compliment your meal and with meat thats as fatty as this is, you just end up getting greened out and its just too much fat. There's nothing to cut through this fattiness so it ends up being too much. I will say the service is REALLY good, they're very attentive, the food comes out fast and its very homey. If you LOVE beef and know that the fattiness of the beef won't be an issue you'd probably love this place.

Kenny was absolutely awesome--friendly, attentive, and made the whole dining experience even better. The quality of the meat was incredible and honestly far exceeded my expectations. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. You can really tell they take pride in the quality of their ingredients. I absolutely loved this place and will definitely be coming back with my husband. If you're a meat lover, this place is a must-try!

Initially I was in the mood for some higher end Korean BBQ, but after some convincing from my friend, we decided on trying something new/different and I'm glad we did since I'm usually a little leary on trying something new. We went with the Supreme tier since the highest one didn't really seem like it offered anything worthwhile to us. The Supreme tier comes with 1 order *per person* for both the Special Meats (supposedly A5) and Special Dishes. Aside from the Special items that are limited, the rest of the menu is unlimited, including the sides. Without any proof of proper certification, I'm not entirely sure this is truly A5 BMS 8-12 wagyu, but regardless, it is incredibly marbled. Personally I cooked these pieces until parts of it began to sizzle and brown, allowing the fat to render. If you've never had it before, it is very rich and melts in your mouth. The good news is that the rest of the meat was still really good quality. In fact, the Wild Red Shrimp under the cheaper Platinum tier was actually much better than the Black Tiger Shrimp under the more costly Supreme tier. Honestly, the Black Tiger shrimp is kinda like your average run-of-the-mill shrimp from the market. I'm not a shrimpologist, but I want to say the "wild red shrimp" might be something like Ridgeback shrimps? Either way, the texture of the wild red shrimp was much better, in my opinion. I also really like the fact that the carpaccio (sashimi) was unlimited. I wouldn't consider myself a gymbro (ok maybe a little), but the fact that I can load up on grilled meat, sashimi, and veggie sides is awesome. Food experience aside, I was surprised by how small it was inside. It's all black too, so it looks and feels dark which is nice. Front of House service was fine, but the time it took for our items to come out was pretty slow, so tables don't turn very quickly which translates to long wait times, especially during peak hours like dinner or on the weekends. Speaking of dinner, maybe it's because I'm more of a dinner person, but I think next time around it'll be even more enjoyable during dinnertime. I will definitely be back in the near future, preferably after a gym sesh lol (ok I guess maybe I might be a gymbro)

This is my first time to this location. The service was great. The meat was top grade. They also offer three levels of all AYCE. With alot of different side orders as well.

Quality of food was amazing! Meat is very juicy and savory! Amber was very attentive with us and very sweet! I think I found my new favorite kbbq/jbbq spot!

I went to a super nice jbbq in Seattle and I've been chasing that high since i returned back to California. Wagyu factory is good but i just dislike how thin the meats are sometimes and how they get stuck to the gril so you're basically fighting with the food while you're grilling. Holy cow had caught my eye a while back but i forgot about it and never went. While looking for Jbbq spots in California i rediscovered it and decided to drop by with my mom and husband. We went on a Friday around 6pm so they weren't open that long. The place wasn't packed but did have people, as we were leaving i did notice a lot of big parties coming in. I want to note that the inside is actually pretty small for a bbq spot. But they're super attentive and constantly coming around to check on you. The meats were honestly all really good. We got their middle tier to try the uni scollop and they didn't have it at 6pm! It was already sold out. I was honestly pretty baffled by how something sold out in an hour when you can only get a set amount of items. So their specialty items you can only get once and it's the number of people you have. So i had 3 people, you can only get three items off the specialty items list and that's it. I misunderstood and thought you could get 1 item only 3 times. I was heavily disappointed by that option but the rest of the meat was nice so i got over it pretty quickly. I love how they have their sides set up with a bunch of things to order. We really liked the carpaccio for the salmon and tuna. We didn't really care for the seared stuff. Their sides like kimchi, seaweed salad, and bean sprouts were also great. I really enjoyed that. The meats were all great and the slices for the thinly sliced ones were not super thing where they'd get stuck to the grill so i really appreciate that. I will say, i wasn't really impressed with any of their steak portions, i preferred more of their thin cuts or short ribs. Something that i do want to note is that their water just sucks. Idk its small in there and a little hot with the grill, and the water just doesn't have any ice so its just like lukewarm water. Kinda meh in that aspect, but easily fixable... Overall it's a good Jbbq spot, we really did enjoy it and would return :)

Japanese Bbq in Chino Hills is here and this place is legit. Having a great selection of beef cuts and many fun appetizers. The only downside to this place is that it is small. Also, the tables are only for a party of four. So it would be hard if you have a birthday party and so on. Everything came out super quick and I really did enjoy my dinner here. Came with a party of three and had to wait a little bit. So if you want to check out some Japanese Bbq this is the spot.

Sylvia was very helpful and patient explaining the menu for our first time. All other waiters also came by often to check in on us. Place is very small so expect a wait if no reservations on a weekend. Plenty of parking as it is in a huge plaza with other shops and restaurants. Food is as expected amazing and definitely worth the price.

This seems to find that line where what you get, though good, is a bit over-priced for what you get and there is no recourse to get something smaller because then you will be over-paying and still hungry. My background is in f&b and hospitality management so I would not give this type of review, especially to a small business unless there was a legitimate reason. While I respect the amount of work and dedication it takes to run a restaurant, there is a responsibility to provide customers with a quality product that aligns with the menu pricing. Beyond the product, ruining someone's lunch break is a sure fire way to lose an existing customer. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
