This was a nice stop for us. It was a little out of the city which resulted in the most expensive Lyft ride of our trip but it was totally worth it. First off, it's pretty crazy that a guy a little over a hundred years ago built this castle-like thing. The structure itself and everything in it was amazing. The back-story was less than exciting but the things were interesting to see anyway. The audio tour was nice but we ended up cutting a lot of them short and only once or twice listening to the "additional" information they offered at the end of the main narration. Although old, a lot of the design and appointments still seemed decadent and interesting. My favorite was the guest room that had its own bathroom AND sitting room. My house guests are lucky if they don't have to share the bathroom with my cat! Although it takes some literal legwork, I definitely recommend the climb up to the tower. You're rewarded with a great view of the city. It's no CN Towers view but it gives you a different, more calming perspective. We mostly enjoyed Casa Loma for the daydreaming it allowed us to do from their beautiful back patio. We imagined living in something like this, laughed at ourselves and went on our merry way. read more

I love coming to the castle during the regular season but it is definitely extra special at Christmas. The team at Casa Loma do a fantastic job decking all of the halls and making it truly magical. Almost all of the rooms featured an expertly curated Christmas tree to bring even more holiday flair. All of the special Christmas shows are included with the regular price of admission. There was an additional orchestra show available during the evening but I was there during the day. They did a good job staggering the shows so you had a chance of catching all of them. They did start on time promptly so make sure you're in the vicinity when it starts or you might miss the whole thing. The Glisse on Ice skating show was very short so by the time we made our way over, it had already ended. There was also a magic show that was geared towards kids but it was performed very well and I was honestly scratching my head at how they did some of the illusions. We also were lucky enough to watch the aerialist perform and it was a beautiful show as well! I've been to Casa Loma on many occasions before as well. It seems as though Casa Loma now holds an escape room at the castle in the evenings. This means that certain rooms are closed after a certain time in the afternoon. The scottish tower was closed for set up. I also noticed that the grounds outside of the stables were closed as well. I think this was to do with the Christmas event as everyone was funneled through the tunnel to pop out where Santa was supposed to be. One other thing was that some of the informational panels about the castle were covered up by Christmas decorations, especially in the tunnel, so you missed out a bit on the history of it all. A few practical notes: the bathrooms on the basement floor where the cafe is are a lot busier than the ones elsewhere in the castle. Also, on the first floor, there are bathrooms which are self contained toilet, sink, and dryer all in one. Although they are individually labelled for ladies' or men's, it doesn't really matter since they aren't shared so the line for these moves a bit quicker. read more

Not that great!! You had me at castle.. and lost me as soon as I step inside!! Boo! I have family here and been to Toronto way too many times. But even then, they've never heard of this place or been here till I found it. I was pretty excited to bring them here. So many movies were shot and filmed here. Architecture look stunning! Even the crazy Friday traffic didn't stop me! Toronto rush hour is no joke. The excitement! You'd think a Big castle would be easy to find but we still got lost. It's pretty easy to miss and get lost here. Many construction and road blocked didn't help! But alas, we found it. It was not as big or grand! Much smaller than expected! $15 parking: there really isn't any other option for it. So park here! The outside and grounds were the exciting part. Ticketing to getting inside and exploring was less than stellar!! Long lines, long wait, too crowded! Just no fun at all. It is still a castle. The stairs are steep: not ADA friendly. Artifacts are fun to look at when you get your turn. If and when that is. Too small for having too many people. Spent 25 minutes too much and got out. The outside small grounds were way better. Came here for a regular visit and our whole group really enjoyed it. Everything inside of it was very interesting, and that went for us who didn't really care much about history. I would definitely recommend a few hours and the outside grounds was beautiful! There was also a wedding taking place when we arrived but it did not take away from anything. *We came in July. read more

Very cool place!! The castle itself is pretty cool, but they also have a lot of theme nights that are worth checking out! I went to the Just For Laughs Comedy night on a Wednesday that we bought through a Groupon (2 for $22). If you want good seats, I'd recommend going early! We got there around 5 PM for a 7:30 show to ensure we got a seat under the pavilion (Always the best seats in there, and saves you from the rain! Plus it has A/C!). Food was a little pricey for small portions, and there's a set charge of 18% tip. We went us a group from work, so just got a few apps to split. Food was mediocre but the Sparkling Sangria was good! Since we got there so early, our seats were saved and we got to go explore the tower a bit which was fun! Other event night are live music performers like Sean Jones on Mondays and Symphony in the park on Tuesdays. Check em out! Makes for a fun night! read more

Definite fun experience especially during the Christmas season. Beautiful Christmas trees were set up in each of the rooms with different themes such as a pretty in pink look and a koi fish tree. The place is assessable by stairs for anyone looking for exercise. Those with strollers will have to park it in the stroller area by the magic show. You can spend an easy 1.5 hours if going at a fast pace and watching the magic show, and a couple of the Christmas "ice skating" show. Optional listening tour is available. Climbing to the ultimate top is a workout and a bit claustrophobic because the stairway in narrow and an either up or down entry where you'll have to wait for others to go up or down. read more

First touristic spot in Toronto with my city pass. It wasn't hard to redeem and I decided not to get the audio guide (the visit would've dragged on). First thought was that the castle is beautiful! Amazing craftsmanship. I started the visit from the top to make my way to the bottom. A few things to mention: -If there are lots of people it will get hot and crowded in the rooms, there are fans and some mild air conditioning but it''s very minimal. -The highest tower is closed at the moment, the second highest tower is accessible by the third floor but there is a lineup, wait till almost closing time. -There is minimal seating so if you have kids make sure they can walk. Sadly, we got there around 3:45pm and since they close at 5pm we had to skip the gardens and most of the panels explaining the history of the castle. Apart from that I really enjoyed the library room (it looked straight out of a Disney Movie) and the view from the tower. The underground tunnels were also very creepy and goosebump inducing. I recommend those a lot. Especially because they lead to the stables and garage areas (sadly no horses but they do have old timey cars) If you make it to the gift shop you will find some truly bizarre items. What does a mini lava lamp have to do with a castle?? Nothing, but I bought it anyway! If you buy the City pass, check it out for fun. But otherwise I think you can pass on this if you aren't a big history buff. read more

Casa Loma was beautiful, and the best part about visiting is that it's included in the Toronto Pass! If you're taking public transit, be ready to be winded hiking up a crapton of steps like the low life peasant you are. I could honestly have wandered around Loma for hours more than we did, but they were closing early for a wedding when we visited. They provide you with self guided tour boxes, which was super nice, but my friend and I didn't really dedicate ourselves to using them aside from like a couple of places that we found the need to. The two towers are poorly setup for present day crowds, but obviously it wasn't built for that originally. The small spiral staircases we're a pain to come up and down because there was a flood of people trying to do the same thing at the same exact time. They really should've had a staff member at the bottom and top cutting of streams of people, to work more efficiently. The Norman Tower is open-aired and has an amazing view, but don't waster your time on the Scottish Tower; you're just in another enclosed room which was a big let down for all the stress it took to actually get up there. read more

$15 to park(we waited for someone to pull out) plus $60 admission for 2. Just a receipt given(no pretty ticket to keep) and a 1 sheet printed paper map. I can't help but compare Casa Loma to other places I've been. I enjoyed going up the spiral staircases to go up in the towers. Great views up there. The Canadian military displays were interesting. The rooms were ok. The gardens were tiny for such a big castle. This being Oct, we had to trek down seemingly endless tunnels to visit the stables & antique cars DECORATED FOR HALLOWEEN HAUNT. Thanks goodness this was daytime and there were no actors working the tunnels or I would have freaked out! But the worst part of it was that it was a dead end! We saw two cars and a carriage and had to turn around and go back through the tunnels! Ugh! I'm not sure it was worth the money. Maybe just look at the outside. read more

I've come to CAsa Loma numerous times over the years and can't believe I didn't write a review. I've done a ghost tour here (so interesting!) and my most recent visit was for their Winterlicious High Tea Event. Oh wow...the 2 main rooms they held high tea at..were well...awesome. Opulent and fancy....glad I brought out my fascinator for this one! Definitely a pinky fingers up event! We had a violinist serenading the room as we ate our way through the sandwiches and all the desserts. And the tea was non-stop - there were 2 choices - and early grey and a black tea with citrus hints. Both delicious! And the desserts just kept coming around with the various wait staff...so..many...choices.. The staff here are always informed and polite. Afterwards, we toured the castle, went up up up the stairs..all the way outside to catch a great view of the city. The history of the castle, the many photos all over, the rooms that are gorgeously kept, all lend an eye to the life of many years ago. The grounds are beautiful too. In winter, they have a winter carnival, which is fabulous. Definitely check out their website for any events they have throughout the year. The only negative about this place - the parking. The 2 paid lots (I think it's $10) are small...therefore you need to find street parking. Which normally may not be an issue...but if there is an event going on, it may be difficult to get a spot. read more

When I initially crossed the Canadian border and the border officer asked me about my plan in Canada, the two places I told him were the CN Tower and Casa Loma. The officer recommended the Ripley's Aquarium and I just told him that my schedule was completely booked. In hindsight, maybe I should listen to the officer's recommendation and visited the Ripley's Aquarium instead of Casa Loma. Yes Casa Loma is an iconic Toronto attraction - I mean who doesn't like castle? It is like a childhood dream turn into reality! Unfortunately, I was somewhat disappointed to learn that (1) the general admission is not only expensive, but all you are paying is the self-guided tour and (2) the castle gets more and more difficult to navigate as you go up each level (especially the 4th level where you get to access to two towers). Price: CAD $10 for parking and CAD $27 (tax included) for one adult general admission. Casa Loma does not offer public tour, but you can rent a self-guided audio device for free and it will ping whenever an image shows up on the display screen of your audio device. Just a warning - there are limited audio devices and they do run out if the castle gets crowded (I was about to leave at 11:30 AM and my audio device was immediately passed down to the next guest because the kiosk ran out of audio devices). Restroom is only located on the 1st level. Men and women restrooms share the same entrance, but men restrooms are all located on the right and women restroom are all located on the left (I was extremely confused when I first walked in). Restroom were super clean. Casa Loma has five levels (basement level + 3 floors + tower level or the 4th level). 1st floor has a huge dining room and the Conservatory. 2nd floor has Sir Henry Pellatt's (the guy who used to own this castle) master bedroom as well as early 1900's bathrooms. The entire 3rd floor is the Queen's Own Rifles Museum. The 4th floor (stairway access only) are the Norman Tower and the Scottish Tower. For both towers, you will have to climb two levels of narrow and spiral stairs to get to the top. The Norman Tower provides a great outdoor view while the Scottish Tower is just a tiny enclosed room with various graffiti on the wall. The basement level has a gift shop, a cafe, and a mini-movie theater (a short film called "The Man Who Built Casa Loma"), and an underground tunnel to both the car garage / horse stables / greenhouse. Other than somewhat interesting underground tunnel, cool car collection (e.g. Ford Model T), and crazy stairway climb to both towers, I could not get myself excited about all other collections and 1900's furnishings and decor. Wow! Who would have ever thought that a castle would be in Toronto. Casa Loma is pure beauty and unique which makes its location special and must seen if visiting Toronto. If you are staying in the city, take the train to DuPont which is about a 30 minute train ride. Then it's like maybe 10 minute walk from the train station to the castle. I'd recommend going up the stairs and there you can take some beautiful pictures of the castle from the outside. Picture perfect! As you enter the castle, smell the fresh and lovely tulips. Don't forget to sit by the fountain, make a wish and take more pics. We arrived on a Sunday about 1PM and didn't have to wait too long on the line. Tickets were $25 per an adult and $20 for seniors. The price is beyond priceless and so worth it to see this beauty. As you enter, be sure to go to the basement and check the video out to get a better understanding of the history and beautiful story behind the castle. Take your time and explore each floor and believe me you'll find yourself speechless with the artifacts left in the castle. On the first floor, go out on the balcony and take some pictures with the CN tower and Toronto skyline. Absolutely mesmerizing! Sit in the sun and enjoy one scoop of your favorite flavor of gelato. I loved their milky chocolate! Thereafter, slowly climb up the stairs or use the elevators to explore the meeting rooms, guest rooms, tea rooms, dinning rooms, bedrooms, paintings, sculptures, ornaments and the list goes on. It was Miss. Scarlett in the conservatory with the candlestick (Clue). I used to love that game. This is probably the only place I've been to that has a conservatory. I walked up several set of stairs to reach Casa Loma "Hill House," which used to be the former home of Canadian financier Sir Henry Pellatt. When I first walked in, I was directed to the lower level for a map and audio guide. The audio guides are available in many languages, but I chose to walk around without it. There are three floors, with secret passages here and there. I started with the 800 feet underground tunnel, which was a bit creepy as no else was around. I wish I had Lady Pellatt's suite, with a bedroom, sitting room, solarium, bathroom, and wardrobe area. On the third floor you will find sets of stairs that lead to Norman Tower, which wasn't on the map. The tower provided great views. There isn't much seating around the castle, but I was able to take a little break at the theatre, where the movie being played was about Sir Henry Pellatt and Casa Loma. While the exterior was impressive and grand, the museum was just ok. It was stuffy, in more than one way. When I was leaving, I saw crowds of people. I suggest coming right when they open like I did. read more

So we bought tickets for the haunted house experience for the Saturday before Halloween. Cool rainy night. Our tickets were scheduled for 6:30 pm. Showed up on time to join an hour long wait in the rain. Say what? Why would they sell timed tickets but expect us to wait, with young ones, out in the rain til 7:30 or 8? The story itself is fascinating - Sir Henry Pellet - responsible for bringing electric street lighting to Toronto amasses a wealth that enables him to build a $3.5M (that was the price in the early 1900s) 200,000 sq ft castle on a large piece of land in Toronto. He losses all his money and dies nearly penniless in the home of his former chauffeur. The homes opulence is insane - 18 karat gold name plates and mahogany stalls for his horses, secret passageways and grand furnishings from all over the world. You can easily spend hours looking around. We were there about 2 hours. When we were leaving it was packed! Definitely recommend going right when it opens. My only complaint is parking. Its pricey to get in and parking is another $10 on top of it. They should include parking in the price of admission. read more

This is a fun museum to spend a morning at. We went on a Saturday so it was a bit busy, but not too bad. Do be aware that they close sections on the weekend for weddings/events so check ahead of time if you are interested. We started by watching the film and then walked around the museum. I didn't use the audio guide much because there was so much to read. It was a little overwhelming all the exhibits! They have the casa Lima information, the queens own rifles collection and the special princess Diana exhibit. The highlight for me was the gardens - they were beautiful! My writing this review is a first for me. However, my experience last evening at Casa Loma was so deplorable that I felt I had to share my story to, perhaps, save others from a similar encounter. My friend and I arrived at 10 minutes to 7 PM for the 7:30 "Symphony in the Gardens" August 14th performance only to be told there was no more seating available and to try finding seats in the back of the garden. I can understand an event being oversold a little but there were well over a hundred people sitting on cement ledges and milling about looking for a space to sit. In addition, there were lineups at the two bars with 30 or more people waiting in line. It was mayhem. We finally found a table with two young people who said we could sit at their table....if we found chairs which staff told us were not available. Then two young people offered to give us their space on the cement wall given our obvious age of over 65. At that point (7:10 PM), we left and there still was a lineup of people arriving. Shame on Casa Loma! Shame on the Liberty Entertainment Group whose only objective appears to be to keep selling tickets knowing the venue including the bar and restaurant service was unable to support the number of tickets sold! Shame on the Casa Loma symphony for associating its name and musicians to an event which appears to be a "money grab"! I have always enjoyed my time at the BlueBlood restaurant but, after this experience, I will not return to Casa Loma regardless of how beautiful and magical the castle and grounds are. Final comment - I have never felt so disrespected and disappointed by a business which boasts a high commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. read more

Visited for my husband's work holiday party this past weekend and we had a fun time exploring the castle. Ironically, our apartment is just a kilometre from here but we've never visited Casa Loma in the 10 years we've lived in the neighbourhood. We were treated to an aerial performance, passed hot chocolate/apple cider, a magic show (mostly for the employee's kids), a buffet dinner, Glisse on ice performance, and also a visit to Santa's workshop! Food was served buffet style and was delicious, with lots of choices - I only wished they gave us regular sized dinner plates to get food on and not appetizer sized (made things difficult in terms of having enough room on the plate to try it all). The dessert station was also beautifully presented. I loved the mini chocolate mousse in a chocolate cup - yum! Casa Loma made the night even more special by projecting the logo of my husband's organization on the side of castle - very cool!! We also were some of the first folks to go outside to view the winter light show. We had fun wandering around the upper floors of the castle, peering into the rooms to see how some folks used to live back in the day, and also seeing the different Christmas trees in each room. read more

I have never visited a castle. The closest thing was probably Henry Ford's house. When I got to go to Casa Loma I was like wow this guy made it in life...however after watching his documentary he did live a lavish life until his downfall of debt and deaths. It was sad looking at the unfinished parts of this mansion from his debts. For parents and their one son this house is huge! I cannot believe the size of the castle. I got to go to the very top and the view is spectacular. I got to see the rest of the layout of the house and the site of the city. I couldn't believe my eyes. So many white tables set up in the backyard accompanied by a huge water fountain. Personally I would like to stay a night at this castle if it was open to the public like that. Anyhow I was very impressed with what I got to experience. Tip: there is a lot of people so patience is a virtue! read more

Audio guide in hand I wandered through the three floors and underground areas. Unfortunately I was not able to see all of the rooms as the castle was being used for filming. I went to winterlicious afternoon tea at casa loma. I did not have high expectations of the experience. And once I got there than I realized this is mass production event. Large crowds and noise level high. Admissions to the castle was included in the $40 afternoon tea. Usual admissions is $30. Once we got our table we were asked what tea we would like. To my surprise I do not get my own tea pot. This is a modern take of afternoon tea. The servers come with tea pots and served them. They do not remember what tea you are drinking. So o constantly had to flag a server down to refill my tea cup throughout my time there. Food was not the traditional afternoon tea dishes. Amount was smaller for crumpets, scones and croissants - the servers just come by and dumb it on your plate or table. We really would like more but have not been offered. The main dish is more savoury. Dessert is endless. At first they come buy and tell our table to each select a piece of cake from the tray. We were looking at each other this is it? A small two once square of cake? Turns out dessert is endless supplies. They keep coming around with a variety of desserts till full of sugar. During the tea there was a lady who plays the harp and violent. It's nice but hardly can hear the music because the chit chat volume in the conservatory echos and over ruled her music. Tea was also offered in the library but the yellow light in their I feel photos wouldn't be as nice. We picked the conservatory room because of its brightness. After tea, we roam around the castle. I haven't been to the castle for quite sometime and it seems like they have open many areas of the castle to the public. It was a great experience roaming around, however if you do not like crowds do not go at this time. Overall food was mediocre but the castle experience made up for it. read more

The gift shop is selling souvenirs and is providing audio guide devices. Lots of history to learn. Not going to spoil anything so go there and explore on your own. This review is based on the Gardens at Casa Loma. Beautiful place with lots of amazing photo opportunities but that's literally it. The food was so bad it was pretty much inedible. Service was meh. Let's start with the water, they don't offer tap so not sure if they have that option but flat or sparkling water is $9 a bottle which is fine but tap is always good to offer customers. The crab fritters was the best thing we ordered but it tasted nothing like crab and was a bit salty. The bruschetta was tasteless runny tomatoes on stale hard bread - not sure how you mess something so simple up. The ahi tuna nachos tasted like they tried to do something fancy fusion but failed. The octopus was so hard and chewy it wasn't even possible to eat. I won't be back, it was just for the views. read more

I love seeing historical houses and this wasn't exception. This is lovely house with gorgeous garden. We came here only because we had Toronto city pass but it was way better than I expected and I was surprised to see it's only 3.5 stars on yelp. We came here around 11am on Sunday and it wasn't too crowded but it gets more crowded when we are leaving. They have tunnel in basement which I found very interesting and they had exhibition called Toronto dark side which cannot be any better place than here. I also enjoyed their short movie about the original owner of the house and they also show movies shoot in this house and I was surprised to find so many movies that were made here. We later found out they have escape game in this mansion which looked really cool but all ticket was sold out that day. We would love to come back for that if we have chance. One note, there are many many steps in the house so make sure to wear comfortable shoes. read more

I was fooled by the pictures thinking this was a ginormous castle, but sadly, it was not. We came here with our citypass ticket to walk the grounds and was thoroughly unimpressed. I would save your money and just snap pictures for free from out front. Our ticket also came with the audio tour, but I didn't use it even though you have to walk downstairs to get it, and then go back downstairs to return it. What an inconvenience. I would also skip the tunnels in the lower levels as it led you to nothing really spectacular. It had a moldy mildew smell down there, as well. The second floor had a few rooms with classic furniture and history. I think I enjoyed the back gardens the most with the fountain. It was picturesque and nice to sit in the shade and enjoy some gelato. They were remodeling one of the towers so you don't get a perfect picture though. I wouldn't come back or pay full price for admissions. Parking was $10 on a Friday all day, so we left our car there and went by public transit to explore the rest of downtown by foot since we paid for parking. read more

casa loma is a beautiful 98 room house that is well preserved and expansive. you can get a great view of Toronto from the towers and the property itself is gorgeous. i especially enjoyed the conservatory. the upper level has a historical portion where you can learn about the military past of Toronto. while it is definitely engaging, the downstairs portion is very touristy and the celebrity portion felt tacky. i recommend watching the film on the lower level for a good background about the property. the tickets are a bit expensive but the place is large and you can take 1-3 hours there. read more

Seriously, a three-star average? This place is great! But whatever your opinion, you can't deny that it is a unique attraction, not just in Toronto, but anywhere that I've ever heard of. I'll let you read elsewhere about the rise and fall of Sir Henry Pellatt and the intriguing saga of his dream home. A tour through this incredible building and its grounds is a delight, especially while imagining it in context of the lives of those who lived, worked, and visited here in the early twentieth century. Admission includes a personal audio-tour device to let you roam through on your own, which is the perfect setup for me. I have the freedom to move at my own pace, but all of the information available from which to sample. Highlights for me included: the Great Hall, the Library, the Conservatory, Sir Henry's Study and its secret passageways, Sir Henry's Bathroom, Lady Pellatt's Suite, the towers, the Smoking Room, the basement, the tunnel, and the grounds. I probably would have enjoyed more the Queen's Own Rifles regimental museum, but by then I was beginning to get "museum fatigue" and I just couldn't devote the mental energy and attention that it deserved. However, it does contain a rich slice of modern military history. Fun note: Apparently over a dozen mainstream movies have filmed scenes in the castle, including Cocktail, The Tuxedo, X-Men, Skulls, and The Pacifier. Casa Loma is a beautiful castle, with plenty of history behind it. Admission is $27 CAD per person, and once you're inside, you're free to roam around at your own pace, or you can take a self guided tour using their rentable audio devices. My boyfriend and I decided to roam the castle without the aid of the audio devices. There are multiple floors to explore, as well as an underground tunnel in the basement. The gardens are really lovely during the summer, and you can purchase food and beverages to enjoy while you're out in the garden. At the very top of the castle is a tower that you can climb a spiral staircase to get up to. The staff only let a certain amount of people up there at a time, so there was a line when we went. The views from up there are gorgeous, and was worth the wait. I would definitely recommend going at least once if you're in the Toronto area! read more

We visited Casaloma couple months back amidst Covid-19 with our newborn and my parents. The place is so huge that we got tired climbing up and down ,not to mention we dint know about the stroller situation there. We had a normal stroller not the light weight one, the stairs were steep. So we had to leave it downstairs and my hubby had to take the baby in the car seat.. a note about this could be mentioned somewhere in their website. So yes with the newborn but still enjoyable and great view. They also have a restaurant inhouse the evenings which we did not try. But the arrangements looked soo good. read more

We got the ticket as part of the CityPASS TORONTO and I would say it's a pretty good deal as we are able to save some bucks on the entrances fees We got here by transit but as we were walking to the castle, we noticed that it is paid to park so if you are driving be ready. The location is also a restaurant/theatre/event space. During our visit, there was a wedding so the outside garden was only until 4 pm. When we got there is a desk that scans your ticket and gives you the map of the whole castle. They also tell you the best way to explore the whole castle. They ask you to do the basement last cause it's a oneway walk and it ends at the stable area which is off the castle area. Overview of the castle, I do think it's a great way to show how this castle was used and who was it built for. I do like the fact that they also share the space to recognize armies and soldiers from the past until now like they showcase even different uniforms and guns. Unfortunately, I got confused when I was climbing up to the attic and the rooftop. As we were climbing up, we saw these giant vines, sort of like jack and the beanstalk, and a caged dragon. At first, I was like maybe it's just storage but as we go up the roof, I saw more drawings and pictures of dragons and knights all over. This area of the castle is used to make comic or dragon series that are also being aired in the theatre in the basement. Anyway, I know they have to make money and make use of the space somehow but I did feel like it kinda took that historical attribute away. Maybe put a sign that this area is this and that. Overall, the castle took us around 2 hours to complete you can easily spend hours here looking at the collections. Price is $30 per adult and it's easily accessible by train and uber if you are not driving when visiting. read more

Went here for Easter brunch 2023 on April 9. Lovely room, but way too overcrowded! Only 3 salads were available, the lamb was very fatty and not even warm, and there were no vegetable dishes, potatoes or rice! What about vegetarians? Cheese and crackers were available as well as mussels and shrimp. There were also tiny pastries and an inedible chocolate fountain. For $90 plus tax, we expected more! The service staff were polite and helpful. They moved us to the Library to avoid the stairs for our friends with canes. Would we go again? NO! Back to the Old Mill for us next year or the Windsor Arms! read more

I hate this place. I signed up abd paid on line for what I thought was a tour. When I got the confirmation I realized it was a virtual for $20 a person for tour persons. As soon as I got the email, I sent them then an email asking to cancel my order but never got a reply. Next thing I know is that credit card has been charged and to this day I have not received a reply from them. The least they could have done is let me know that I couldn't canceled and I would have tried to use it. Nope. They don't care because they already have my money and don't give a shit about the customer. Lesson learned. Case Loma doesn't give a shit their customers and has zero customer service. STAY AWAY from these money grabbing vampires. read more

I experienced Casa Loma with 2016 Winterlicous deal. For $35, I got an admission to the castle and high tea in Casa Loma. That's a great deal given the admission alone is $24. So if you've never been to and have no urge to go to Casa Loma, Winterlicous definitely will give you a good excuse to check out the place. For high tea, there are three options for tea, black tea, oolong tea, and a mint tea. The tea is okay, maybe like tea bag ish quality. You don't get a pot of tea. Server comes around to fill your tea cup. They serve 5 tea sandwiches on a plate, egg salad, quiche, curry chicken salad, shrimp salad, and roast beef. After the sandwiches, they'll serve you a croissant and a scone. Desserts are all you can eat. So don't expect a nice three tier typical high tea type of plating. In my opinion, the overall high tea experience in the castle is nice, but taste wise, not so great. read more
