This place is chic, but the dress code is casual, at least when you're dining at 5 p.m. I made a reservation because I wasn't sure what the crowd would be like. Sarah was my waitress and she did a fantastic job. She alone deserves 5 stars. I went by myself and they still let me sit at a table. Now for the food, the menu is great. I picked here because I'm vegetarian and they had a few good vegetarian options on the menu. I started with the patatas bravas which was delicious. I would order this again. My only critique is that the potatoes were not evenly cooked resulting in different textures. The sauce, however, was flawless. Next, I got the vegetarian paella. The vegetables were cut into small pieces and perfect cooked, however, the flavor was a bit bland. It could just be an understated flavor profile, but I think they could have elevated the taste. The presentation for both dishes was stunning. They have an amazing drink menu and dessert menu but unfortunately, I had no room. I would come back here, and I definitely want to try the house salad. The bill was reasonable for such a sophisticated place. I am excited to try other items from the menu next time. read more

Walking into Casa Luna felt like stepping into a little slice of Vegas right here in our own backyard. The space is absolutely gorgeous and the vibe immediately pulls you in. Our hostess greeted us like we were VIPs from the moment we walked through the door, and our server (who was training someone, by the way) had both of them running like a well oiled machine. Knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely fun to interact with. Now let's talk about those cocktails, because WOW. I am typically the person who rolls her eyes at a $16 martini, but I will happily eat my words here. The espresso martini was bright and bold and not the heavy creamy version you usually get, and it was absolutely delicious. My husband's vodka martini came with a little side shot of champagne and it was the most fun, fancy presentation. These drinks alone could bring me back. The coffee also deserves its own standing ovation. Genuinely some of the best coffee we have ever had. Full stop. The food, though, is where we hit a few bumps. I ordered the chimichurri fillet with eggs and potatoes and while the chimichurri sauce itself had incredible flavor, the potatoes, peppers, and fillet all came out tasting like they had been boiled rather than seared or roasted. My over medium eggs were just slightly overcooked, which is a small thing, but combined with the texture of everything else it made the dish feel a little flat. The presentation in a cute iron skillet was adorable though! My husband's omelette was on the smaller side and a bit dry, and his toast arrived cold without any butter, though the team was sweet about bringing some right over when we asked. Our friends had similar experiences with their dishes feeling a little undersauced and underwhelming. The potential here is enormous. The bones of this place are absolutely beautiful and the service and cocktail program are already firing on all cylinders. We are rooting for the kitchen to catch up because when it does, Casa Luna is going to be a serious gem. We will be back for those drinks and that coffee without question! read more

Beautiful room. Attentive staff. Flan and cheesecake desserts were rewarding to the palette. Empanadas had good flavors, but heavy on the flour. My Grandmother made these frequently. These needed less Dough or more filling. Ratio was off substantially. House Salad was limp. An easy fix to honor the greens would have been a cold water rinse, one minute in the freezer chilling the greens and plate. This would have added some life to the bite. House vinaigrette had great flavors, but was more like a paste. Had to be forked out of the container. Enough of my suggestion. Figure it out chef. Food was best left for a once in a lifetime lunar eclipse. Our Filet was overcooked. Med Rare was requested medium was presented. Beef prices have skyrocketed so restaurants are serving the best they can without sticker shock. But the choice of beef should be better and unfortunately the price Needs to be inflated to insure a high quality meal. The fish of the day, "the special" was not. Fish stank. Dry texture. Flavorless. Over cooked. Suggestion; Just enjoy the Mexican restaurant attached. It was full. Smelled great and would have cost a quarter of what we spent. On the positive side their wine selection was nice and priced well. The dining room was mostly empty. We could use some fine dining in Kalispell. Hopefully this review will remind us all special means; get rid of it before it spoils.... At the risk of losing customers. Getting a review that is as bad as the plate of food served.
