This is a great place to come for drinks. What I really liked about this place is they do have a selection for the non drinkers. (The server called it kids drinks which I didn't appreciate as there are a number of people that don't drink alcohol and that's ok!!) The food was delicious. We had the brussel sprouts and the short ribs. However, for the price it was not worth it. The short rib was very fatty and we got more fat than meat. Let's say we were still hungry afterwards but did think the food justified the cost. Therefore, we payed our bill and left. Overall, this place is great. I just will come back next time for lunch since that menu is more affordable. read more

I'm always amazed when I find a brewery or distillery restaurant that has unbelievably tasty food. During our week long stay in the area, we ate here twice. The food is next level and the drinks were on point. Cozy atmosphere with attentive service, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. We especially enjoyed the Brussel sprouts, street tacos and the thai fish. We also order the fresh made pasta, which was delightful, and the cajun shrimp and grits. My daughter and I stopped in to try the new Smash Burger menu. We were not sure what to expect. The menu was simple with some great choices of 4 types of burgers. Sides were chips and a sliced pickle. We both agree that this burger is one of the BEST burgers in Flathead! We each had something different and equally enjoyed our choice. This will be a new weekly stop for sure. Justin, the owner, served us with a smile while tending to a good crowd enjoying the same thing. Do not miss this place! Middle of the afternoon, one other person in the place, and it took almost an hour to get my food. The potato soup was delish but that's about the only positive thing I have to say about the food. The burger was so rubbery and tough to chew. it must've been frozen and half cooked . The menu said cooked to medium, but this was certainly not it .The cheese was a thick slice of cold cheese. I'm a Kalispell native but I rarely wander to Evergreen. This was my first time at Whitefish Handcrafted Spirits. WOW, I was blown away. This tiny establishment is cozy and well decorated. The ambiance is incredibly inviting. We were greeted immediately by the friendly bartender. She made us feel welcomed and offered us two comfortable chairs by the window. She made me a delicious mocktail and was so accommodating when I told her my food order (short ribs) and dietary restrictions (nut allergy). She immediately came up with the perfect substitution! The food came out quickly and was well-portioned. All of our dishes were clearly made with FRESH ingredients. Everything tasted delectable. New ownership needs to step up their game. We were quite misled by all the great reviews, photos, and nice looking cocktails...but a birthday dinner left us sour. Literally. Think WarHeads candies in their liquid form. We were given a brief rundown on the ownership change, lack of restaurant, and change of spirits before asking to see a drink menu. No such menu existed and the bartender told us to "make up any drink we wanted" My wife ordered the recommend gin and honey cocktail and I ordered the "special" Paloma. 10 minutes, 3 sips, and $25 later, we left. My wife's drink tasted like a whole lemon was squeezed into a cup and mine a whole grapefruit. I'd like to see this place grow, but we will not be returning. Stopped in because I found that there was a speakeasy in Kalispell and I had to check it out. Come to find out, it's just a speakeasy menu. There's no secret knock or password. Just walk right in and grab a seat. I ordered the aviation and it was a little ion the sweet side. I asked the bartender for the prettiest drink I can take a photo for Yelp and she suggested this one. The veggie pita I ordered was REALLY salty, especially the mushrooms. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. Anthony, the mixologist, was amazing! Such a helpful, engaged and talented dude. We had the house sour, amaretto sour, spicy coconut margarita (not on menu but ask for it), and the casa de Oro for drinks. All were fabulous, but the amaretto and spicy coco marg were out of this world. Like unbelievably good. For food we got the Brussels sprouts, cornbread with honey butter. And the apricot glazed pork shoulder. I wanted to lick the plate for everything because it was that damn good. Place is intimate and there is a two drink max per person. We came on a Friday at the end of winter and just walked in. But I can imagine you def need reservation in busier months as there is limited seating. Such a special place. A couple of things to consider: it's very small and intimate which is why they have time limits and they are a functioning distillery so they don't have a full liquor license which means there is a two drink max per person per day. Reservations are a must. We shared the tomahawk steak. They said they only had two that evening so we felt lucky. The steak came pre-cut which was lovely. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Along with asparagus it came with wonderful mashed potatoes, a mushroom sauce, and a lovely chimchurri. We also split the creole grits which were perfect and had a nice andouille reduction. As an appetizer we had the garlic cheesy bread. Do not miss that! As for drinks, they were delicious. They have a speakeasy menu that includes classics like sidecars and Mary Pickford and painkillers. They ran a out $11 a piece which is quite reasonable. The service was fantastic. We hardly had to wait for anything. I would definitely come back here to try the Thai fish curry soup which smelled divine. read more

Stopped by here for a quick lunch after seeing some great reviews online. They had just opened when we arrived and so we had the place to ourselves for a bit. The atmosphere is very laid back: good music, bright and eclectic decor, and seating ranging from lounge to high-top. The menu is easy to read and enjoyable while you're selecting your drink. I was very impressed with their high end cocktail selection. We ordered a margarita and an old fashioned to start. Both drinks were meticulously crafted and were bright and refreshing. We opted for food and ordered the jerk tacos and nachos. The food was great and we ended up ordering another round as well as a bottle of their Contraband Whiskey to go. We stopped in here this past weekend. Its a cozy spot with an option for bar, regular tables, and couches for seating. The staff here are 5 stars. Knowledgeable and friendly. The food is 4 stars - we had the smoaked trout plate special. The fish was delicious! The plate was paired with things that felt spring like, for February... but we still liked it. I did end up having a slight cross contamination nut allergic reaction. Cocktails are 2 stars - I had a whiskey sour. It didnt have much whiskey flavor and was too tart. It tasted like a lemon drink. It was pretty though. Flight was 3 stars - we tasted all whiskey. All were pretty light on flavors. The cranberry one tasted like cough syrup....... eeek. I didn't purchase any bottles. read more

Wow! Had wanted to get in here during an area visit for over a year...it happened this week. Came mid afternoon-too late for a proper lunch and too early for dinner. Enjoyed a couple of speakeasy cocktails and pork tacos turned into nachos for sharing. Everything was delicious. I would happily eat through everything on the menu. Will definitely come back, hopefully many times. Also, huge shout to the staff on hand (manager and server). Days later can't recall their names but they were amazing. Perfect service. Came to this place for dinner based on fellow Yelpers' reviews and they absolutely did not disappoint! They have a variety of unique drinks available. We went with the Bulldog and Amaretto French 75 spritz, which were both great! As others have mentioned, their brussel sprout appetizers were amazing! It had the perfect crunch to it. The wild caught fish (which happened to be steelhead trout) was cooked to perfection with a slight crispy skin to top it off. Everything was seasoned well but not overpowering so you could still taste the food. Five stars for this place! Best restaurant I've been to in a while! So happy we explored and found this place. Service-Fantastic! Food-AMAZING Cocktails-Delicious! The Blood Orange Fizz is like an adult Italian soda. The Brussel Sprout Caesar Salad was something I never knew I needed in my like. The Roasted Vegetable Tacos and Fish Tacos were both so unique and amazing. We took the Roasted Pineapple Ice cream home for dessert.... so worth it! Everything was simple but full of amazing flavor combinations. And the location! Amazing drinks and spirits here! I sampled their goods with a flight, and decided on taking home a bottle of Wood's Rose Amaretto. So delish and took home bottle #137 from batch #1. Bravo!! Now the food was amazing as well. We started with their Garlic Bread and yummy Fries. Both were extremely flavorful and light and crunchy. Just the BEST! I had the Roasted Veggie Pita which was wonderful with a Mediterranean spiciness with humus. I'm going back for more! My sister had the best fish tacos she's ever had , complemented with light and crunchy chips and salsa. Incredible! I don't know what kind of magic voodoo cooking skills they have in the kitchen, but I'm sold!! And although we loved the Whitefish location they moved from the most, this place is worth the drive! Everything about this place is absolutely hand made and welcoming. The cocktails, handmade and distilled by the owners were perfect. The food was creative and very flavorful. It's a husband and wife owned establishment, and they make a great team of hosts. I had a few craft cocktails here. The Old Fashioned was served in a beautiful glass, which was a gift to the owner by his mother (I believe). To share those types of things with guests should tell you how cool of a vibe this place is. read more

08/27/17. Just went to new location on Highway 2...the food is excellent. I had the Huckleberry Burger and it was del joys. Everyone in our party loved the food and atmosphere! Worth the drive! We have been to the distillery many times. The decor and atmosphere is beautiful! The outdoor area is perfect for big groups and its's dog friendly! My favorite spirits are The Rum with Spices and the Cranberry Moon. Both are great straight up or one of the distillery cocktails. They serve great food and have an impressive cigar selection that you can smoke on the patio. This is by far the nicest place we have found in the area. The wait staff are knowledgable and friendly. They even have a pool table! Try it you won't be disappointed. read more
