As the other reviews mentioned, this place is definitely interesting! I love how the outside looks like a saloon from the movies. There is parking on the side as well as a pizza pick up window on the side of the building. I hoped to do inside. It was dark - not as pitch black as expected, but definitely dark. There is hay/sawdust on the floor which I've never seen before. Beer is cheap - $3! I was starving from a day at Glacier and ordered the 15 inch pepperoni pizza. The pizza took about 30 minutes to come out. My partner and I devoured it as we were so hungry. When the pizza came it was interesting because the pepperoni was under the cheese, and not on top. In my hunger, my pizza was delicious! The menu also has sandwiches and salads which I didn't try. Great for a late night meal after a long day! read more

Hands down the strangest, most glorious fever dream of a bar I've ever walked into. Picture this: the floor is literally covered in hay or wood shavings (so basically, you're drinking beer in a giant hamster cage). Then you look up, and BAM, gambling machines blinking like Vegas' dirtbag cousin just moved to town. And the beer? Cheaper than bottled water, colder than your ex's heart. Listen. This place is an institution for a reason. It's darker than the blackest night inside. I don't recommend showing up in Tevas because there is in fact sawdust on the floor and it will get on your feet. The pizza is hella good but whether or not it comes out in a timely manner is predicated upon the time of day. The staff is a real mixed bag--the gentleman bartender was not personable, but the woman who came on after him was a real gem and very sweet! I've only been in the area twice now and have stopped both times--I plan on making it a tradition. Drinks are hella cheap too. And if you don't have time to go in, they have a gift shop with great staff inside! So you can still get yourself a shirt or hat or sticker or all three! Get your buns down to Moose's!! read more

This place is very different from other pubs I've been to. Firstly the ground is filled with straw?! I can't make out what it is as it's quite dark in there. The music is good, atmospher is friendly, staff are also friendly. The bartender directed us to the order window at the corner - clearly we looked lost. LOL. Anyway, we ordered a 12" combination pizza and a house salad with dressing on the side. The edges of the pizza came out crispy, oh so good. The base was also very thin but also crispy. The pizzas are thin crust pizzas one was a Canadian & pineapple pizza it tasted fine but almost my Canadian bacon or pineapple on it The meat pizza had a bit more meat but still somewhat skimpy The combination pizzas again were just so so compared to most places I had pizza. They charged for soda refills. The atmosphere was memorable and I would recommend trying the place just for the atmosphere read more

Honestly, not sure what's so great about this place. Dimly lit is an understatement. I guess the best thing about it is the cheap beer ($3) sold in frozen schooners. My wife and I each got 10" pizzas. I got pepperoni and sausage, while she got cheese. It was lunchtime, so we waited our 25 minutes for the pizza. Of course, her cheese came out with pepperoni and had to be sent back to be remade. You'd think they would've put a rush on it, but no, I was basically done with mine before hers eventually came out. The pizza had ok flavor, but the toppings are buried, and the taste all kind of ran together. The crust isn't cracker thin, but it was real thin and kind of spongy in a weird way. Kind of like an upscale frozen pizza. Bar service was a bit snarky on one of the trips to get beer as well. I get that there's history here, so if you want the dark saloon feel, fine. Talk about culture shock! I think our "out of townness" was showing with this one. Came here when we were in town visiting my husbands family. We had just landed and this was one of the only places open late at night. Plus it was one of my father in laws places to frequent when he visited too. We walked in from what I can only assume maybe was a back door? The floor was covered in hay, which was pretty cool. And the bar is literally all wood tables, many of which people have carved their names into over the years I think. We were here late but it still had quite a few people here. The bar itself only serves beer and wine. No hard alcohol. Definitely different than what we are used to in Vegas haha. But still really cool. I started with wine and then eventually moved on to some stout beer, I think it was actually something with the name moose in it. Maybe moose tracks? Or maybe that's ice cream ahah. Anyway I was sooo good and I think I ordered like three more after. And it's made in Montana too. Probably my favorite thing was pricing. My sister in law offered to grab the first round. For all 7 of us to get drinks it was like $22!!!! Insane!!! That usually the price of one cocktail on the strip. We were shocked and elated! To eat, we ordered pizza and sandwiches. The pizza was so good I ended up eating most of mine. Loved the service here too. The girl that served our pizza made small talk with us and clearly knew we weren't from around there hahah. Moose's Saloon is a popping, chill place where you can get cheap brews in frozen schooners, munch on peanuts and have clearance to toss it wherever you please (on the flow), and order pizza that will likely hit the spot after the beers, especially since it'll be ~45 min before you get your order. The pizza is nothing too special and may remind you of a nicer Digiorno's. Dive bar like atmosphere but food is outstanding and beer is ice cold. Plenty of families with young kids. Tip for those camping in Glacier, the leftover pizza is great cold! Pizza is loaded with toppings and they don't skimp. Prices are reasonable! We stopped on the way to Glacier NPS on the recommendation of an ex-native. Came back to fly home with a pizza. Moose's Saloon is one of your last hopes...but this is 100% local dive bar to the very fullest: it feels dirty, it looks dirty, the furniture and walls have all carved into with engravings of various quotes, poetry and names of people you give zero Fs about. But the staff is very friendly, the locals are chatty, and the cheaps beers start at only $2. TWO BUCKS!!! HECK YEAH! If you want the fancy local beers, price goes up $3.75...but my yuppy snobby California self opted for a full bottle of pinot grigio which was surprisingly refreshing and smooth, for only $17. Club sodas were complimentary! I think I was the only out of town nutjob drinking wine... And most shocking, the food here is actually quite good! $10 Pear Spinach salad was fresh and HUGE with candied pecans and feta cheese in a delightful light dressing. $8 Reuben was loaded with corned beef with a perfect amount of kraut in a toasty rye ben. $25 XL Combo pizza...good enough! And SHE grew up in Moose's - helping her friend clean up sawdust. This place is special because it is what it is. The pizza is unique. The Reuben's are a treat. Your options of beer and wine satisfy cravings because what more do you really need? What a unique experience! This place was recommended to us by a local, so we decided to give it a try. Upon walking in, you can definitely tell it's a local joint. It is not pretty dark inside but has plenty of TVs to watch sports, etc. It isn't totally clear upon walking in how it all works, but luckily we figured it out. For food, there is a spot in the corner to order. For drinks, you order at the bar. The peanuts cost $1.50 and can be gotten from the bartender. Like others commented, the beer is pretty cheap. The wine list is lousy, but that was expected. We ordered a 10 inch pizza with pepperoni and green peppers to share. This was a good size for two of us, and it was very reasonably priced. The crust was my favorite part. Perfectly thin and crispy. There was plenty of cheese on it, but I wish it had a tad more sauce. When visiting a buddy in the area we decided to stop in at Moose's Saloon on a whim. What a great decision! This is the epitome of a dive bar - very cheap beer, cash only, wood chips and peanuts on the floor, a dark and somewhat dated interior and an interesting assortment of customers. I must say this is probably the best dive bar I've ever been to since it nailed all the qualities mentioned above. The line for pizza can get long and stretches right next to the bar seats which is a bit awkward, but the line goes quick and the pizza is great so it's totally worth it. Beers are around $3 and served in sturdy mugs that are around 12 ounces or so. Peanuts are $1.50 and pair nicely with the pizza and beer. Bring cash since credit cards aren't accepted. This place is absolutely amazing! The menu is extremely limited, but considering they've been around 60 years, they must be doing something right! You don't go here for a gourmet dining experience, you go there because it's a cool AF little bar that attracts mostly locals and has some of the iciest ice cold beer on tap. There's sawdust on the floor, mixed in with plenty of peanut shells and it is so dark in there, you definitely need to use the flashlight on your phone to study the menu. You order food at a little counter behind the bar, and you order drinks from a friendly bartender. For $5, we got 2 icy drafts, 1 Coors Light and 1 Modelo - what a bargain! I could have sat there all day drinking beer and shooting the breeze, munching on salty peanuts. We split a pizza with pepperoni and half mushrooms and half meatballs.
