Excellent variety of Mexican dishes that are always so good! Since dine-in is always very busy and can be a bit of a wait, I usually do takeout. Takeout wait time can be 20-30 minutes depending on how busy it is, but worth it. read more

Fast service and most of the food was really good. We ordered a steak burrito, an al pastor burrito, a taco salad with grilled chicken, and a combo plate with a tamale and a chile relleno. Everything was tasty, except the chile relleno had something off about it. Maybe steer clear of that one. read more

Had another great experience today at Casa Luna ... definitely one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been to. Food is superb and service is outstanding. And Leo was there again making sure everything was perfect ... and it was. Service started with warm chips and homemade salsa. Wifey had three chicken tacos loaded with shredded chicken and all the fixings. Tacos were set nicely in tray that accommodated the double layer skin and accompanied by refried beans with cheese. A hot salsa verde on the side brought a whole different flavor - it had some kick. Too hot for wifey, but I thought is was really interesting and tasty. I had the treo again: shredded chicken quesadilla, spicy shredded beef enchilada and chimichanga loaded beef tips. Each item had a significant and distinctive favor and sauce. Plate was adorned with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, guacamole and refried beans with cheese. The place is immaculate and the food is terrific. It's worth the drive to Lodi to have a meal. Highly recommend without any reservations and give the place a sixth for consistency. Don't miss it. A real gem. read more

We've been to Casa Luna a few times now since they opened. I wasn't sure how good a Mexican restaurant would be in this sleepy one-bedroom town, but I have been convinced! These guys are great! If the downtown landlords don't price these guys out of existence (and I'm not telling any secrets by pointing out that they HAVE done this to other promising new ventures), they should be very successful. The place is small, but cozy. They might be able to accommodate 1 or 2 parties of six or more, but no more than that. Even though the place is small, the service is fast, efficient, and friendly. They start you out with a complimentary bowl of chips and house-made salsa. You can upgrade beyond salsa to guacamole or queso dips, if you like, but I haven't felt the need. The menu is decent sized, as far as variety goes, but the print is tiny! They have something for everyone's appetite. They excel at their various sauces, and their pork al pastor burrito is a must! We also enjoy their seafood options. If there's one tip I would give, it is this: if you like your chimichangas crispy, ask them to make it extra crispy (fry it longer). Otherwise they don't stand up to the sauces they dress them with. read more

First Mexican place on this (#47 over 45 days per Quora diary) bender that I've come accross that literally put zero alcohol in a margarita. Curious, I tested this by requesting a side shot and mixing while offering the difference to an unassuming muggle who could taste nothing (verifying my alcoholic instinct). Sad as the chips were served warm which is usually a good sign. I do understand having to cut corners to stay alive however which is why I give a generous 2 stars. I should add that I give very few reviews despite having been to well over 30 counties eating their shit, typically sent to publications if exemplar. Thus I have a very low tolerance for scammers as anyone would that spends ample time in a field of experience. Felt compelled to write this here cuz it's unacceptable. read more

My Daughter & I stopped for an early dinner on Wednesday. 1. I was disappointed that all the entrees had meat in them. 2. I ordered an enchilada blanco with chicken. The sauce was so thin it looked like clear white water. 3. The queso blanco sprinkled on top of my enchilada was very tiny round cold sprinkles. 4. I believe first. that "you eat with your eyes". I was disgusted by the look of this food. I took too small bites & decided to speak with the only waiter in the restaurant. I showed him my plate & politely explained why I couldn't eat it. He told me that they always make their food this way and have been doing so for 3 years. I informed him that I had been eating Hispanic food all over this country & internationally. He simply took my plate out of my hands! I almost thought he was going to charge me, but he did not. I will not be returning to this establishment!! read more

We stopped in for lunch on a Monday and were pleasantly surprised to see how attractive and clean the space was. Service was prompt and friendly. I had the Pollo Parilla, which was very tasty and generous in size. My husband had the Speedy Gonzales, which was good, but didn't quite fill him up. Went in for dinner and some drinks. Food was good. Ordered a jumbo margarita which is almost $5 more than a regular margarita. i then ordered a regular margarita and poured it in my jumbo glass and it more than filled it up. I mentioned to our server that they were selling the same size margarita for $5 more and calling it a jumbo. His response was, "guess you should have ordered 2 regular size margaritas then". We stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday and will definitely be back again. A waiter brought chips and salza right away, which was fresh and tasty. The wife had chicken tacos and rice, both of which were quite good. I had my favorite, flattened chicken breast smothered in cheesy onion and mushroom sauce with beans and rice. Most excellent. Both were sizeable portions, served promptly. The wait staff were friendly and efficient. The place has four or five tables, four or five booths, and an eight or ten seat bar. It's right on the main drag in the middle of town. By the time we finished and left shortly after noon, the place was mostly full and people were also taking carryouts, so they're getting a good start. read more

I called on a Saturday night to place a pick up order. Man who answered the phone was rude and argued with me that they didn't have what I was ordering. I understand there's a language barrier so I politely kept repeating I wanted the 8 count street tacos. He kept telling me they don't have 8 tacos only 3. He finally understood what I wanted and was rude and condescending. Time before this they got our pick up order wrong. Food is not even that good. Will never order from there again.
