    Complimentary chips and salsa

This place is so cute and decorated in vibrant colors. I had the mezcal margarita with a tajin rim it smoky and delicious. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the rice and beans were flavorful-a great accompaniment. The staff was so helpful and attentive. It felt like a team effort there.

The food and service was great! Huge portions. The drinks were awesome and the prices were decent. We'll return!

Traditional Tex-mex joint w/ all the classics & many combo plates w/ rice, beans, guac, sour cream & pico. I usually prefer taco trucks to sit-down Tex mex places as I find them more flavorful & cheaper in my experience but I really enjoyed my taco plate here. I got tacos al carbon w/ steak. At $25, it was a bit pricey but a TON of food, as a lighter eater I made 2 meals out of it. I liked the tortillas as well, they were nicely grilled and seasoned w/ something (idk what). They also got some lunch combos & HH hour deals. Plus they bring out some free chips n salsa, you never see free stuff anymore so that was nice. Plus the salsa was actually spicy & delicious. One thing that was a tad annoying was being charged 25¢ for a takeout box.

If you are in NE Portland and want some genuine Mexican food, this is your neighborhood restaurant & bar destination. Picture is their Taco Tuesday offering. You have your choice of 4 proteins and you have to pick one or two. All four are filling and flavorful. The complimentary red salsa and fresh tortilla chips begin your meal with a nice start. The can and draft beers are cold! Service is top notch too. The management and wait staff strive to serve you quickly, friendly and professionally. A favorite meal on the Happy Hour Menu is their ground beef enchiladas with refried beans & rice. Served with a $5 Draft Pint of Dos Equis (or two).

Carne Asada. Yum. Best I've had in Portland ... and I am picky.

Fabulous service and atmosphere. But the carne asada made me do the review. So good. I love the meat and it was perfectly cooked. Best I've had in a long time.

I come here weekly now because it reminds me of my hometown Mexican restaurant. White Queso is one of my hyper fixation foods. They're very kind and add fresh jalapeños in the queso for me because I want it spicer. Their drinks are very delicious and the lunch specials are great. :) Amazing service and feels like a lot of care goes into your dining experience. The ambiance gives a great neighborhood feel.

You would see that it's going to a motel, you would think to add the silverware. Fortunately, I was able to get silverware from my motel's breakfast room. The lumpia were very good. They were not greasy at all. They are smaller than standard eggrolls, but because they use more meat and less veggies than your standard eggroll, they pack a lot more flavor. Everything inside was seasoned well, and I really enjoyed them. They came with a vinegar based dipping sauce that I liked The "garlic Ponzu" salmon poke? No, not nearly as good. For the price they were charging, it was not a very big portion. Besides that, it just wasn't that good. A good salmon is normally pink to orange. This salmon was barely pink. I couldn't taste the garlic or the Ponzu at all. The veggies were crisp, the rice was a good quality, but there was just no seasoning. The salmon was very bland. I didn't know if it was just because of the seasoning, maybe they used a low quality or a previously, frozen salmon. I love good salmon. This was not good salmon. For the price I paid, not counting the DoorDash fees because those are added in anyway, I just felt I didn't get my moneys worth. Next time I'm in the area, I will find another place. Thanks anyway.

Being new to the area, we wanted to check out the Alberta Arts area and experience this highly recommended Mexican restaurant / food cart. It rose to the challenge and then some. We didn't actually know it was going to be a food cart, but there was plenty of seating in a covered outdoor location shared with one other gyro cart. It's clear that this place has a following as we saw order after order fly out the door while we were there. And, we know why. It's delish. For our first experience, we both could not resist the siren's call of the Tres Moles Enchiladas. That doesn't just mean three enchiladas, by the way, but rather three types of mole enchiladas. The three varieties included a traditional brown, a ruby red (made with beets), and a green (made with pumpkin seeds, I think). Each of these were quite different, and good in very different ways. I might be partial to the traditional brown, but the red mole was a close second, and might win depending on the day. I appreciated the verde with its more nutty, earthy flavor, and any other place I would say it was excellent, but with the quality of the other two, it clocks in with the bronze. When we visit again, it may be difficult to not order their namesake entree again, but I am tempted to branch out and try their ceviche or cochinita pibil. Man, this place is good. Worth the drive from the west burbs to check this place out and the Alberta Arts vibe.
