Going by looks alone, this place is tiny--but cute like a taco button. Really warm design too. Modern, clean, and full of personality. As soon as I sat, I knew I'd made a good call trusting my friend. Could've eaten three vampiro tacos. That crispy edge? Divine. I never say this about shrimp, but the gobernador blew my mind. A whole creamy, spicy, avocado'd revelation in a single bite. Sadly, not everything soared, enter the chilorio taco. Maybe I caught it on a bad day? It tasted like nostalgia in reverse. A little dry, a little sad, like it missed its invite to the flavor party. Really hoping they punch that one up, 'cause the rest was 100! I also ordered a Conejito drink. Cute name, meh execution. A bunny with no bounce. Felt like adult chocolate milk on vacation. Praise where due: service was fast, friendly, and on point. Only complaint is I wanted more room--just a few seats inside! Real estate is tight, but the flavor ambition is grande. Loved the tiny space's charm, felt like a secret worth keeping. A great hidden gem, even if not every bite hits 100%. Recommend? Definitely. Just maybe not the chilorio or Conejito. Especially if you like meat and drama--get that vampiro taco. Could I live without Colibri? Maybe. Do I want to? No! Love Sonora! Overall: small spot, big flavors, and worth the trusted reco!!!

Chorizo chilaquiles, Cochinita Pibil tamale & an ice cold Coca Cola, highly recommend! The staff was very friendly & attentive, will definitely be back.

The best tamales I've ever had. Massive, too. Tried to take down two and was humbled by the assumption. They are 3x the size of your everyday tamale and full of meats and flavor. Since first coming here I've tried most of the tamales. My favorites are: Cochinita pibil and Amarillo. So much flavor! They also have a thin habañero sauce that isn't too hot and is a good accompaniment to the lesser spiced tamales. Friendly staff. Food comes out fast and hot. Full bar. Bar seating and an area in the back with tables as well. Some televisions with sports on. Decent location in the Pearl. Have gone again and also gotten takeout from here. A must try. Bravo!

Ive enjoyed Tamale Boys food truck in the past and was excited to try Colibri. This place is great. The conchinita pibil tamale is so good. Its a giant tamale, cooked to perfection. The masa not dried out and the pork tastes so good! We also ordered the pork bowl, and the pork is cooked with a different flavor profile in mind, its spicy and rich nuance almost like mole vibes. My only con would be the rice. It wasn't bad but I think because the meat was cooked so perfectly it was a little dull. I definitely want to come back and try a few items on their brunch menu. Everything looks so good.

This place met and exceeded the yelp reviews. I sat at the bar, there were only a handful of people in there when I went in at 12:15. (It filled up before I left, numerous to go orders as well.) Service was impeccable, the kind you get from a place that's been open for two weeks trying to earn good yelp reviews, except they have been open for 14 months! I had a bowl with lightly breaded halibut. It was flaky, and the beans had a smokiness to them that was so so good. Someone near me split a burrito with shrimp and something else in it, freaking giant and enough for two people. I will eat here again. If you routinely do a burrito bowl at a more "commercial" place, be good to yourself and try this out. It's worth it.

Came here with a few girlfriends for a bite since the reviews are great. However was disappointed in the food and the service. Environment: No AC, expect to be hot Cold water provided Layout is small Food: No consume with the the birria quesadillas No onions or cilantro so my friend had to ask for some.. Super salty black beans Tamales were underwhelming ... not seasoned enough and thick maza Service: Staff member taking our orders wasn't pleasant until he started serving our food to us and noticed we weren't pleased. Conclusion: if you are looking for authentic Mexican food, do not come here. I am confused at the great reviews, and coming to try in person left me regretful of wasting my money here.

I'm not sure if it was me or it was just a fluke. My food was too salty and I even had my daughter, she had the dish before, try it. My daughter noted that it was overly marinated. When given a chance, I would come back and try another dish.

For lunch we loved the halibut tacos and Sonoranese sausage with pintos and a side of black beans. Both dishes were loaded with scrumptious toppings and condiments. Very beyond Mex. Halibut tacos were overflowing generously with red & green cabbage, pico de gallo, jalapeño mayonnaise with lime vinaigrette. Filled up the plate beautifully and filled up my wife's tummy too! I love a Tucson style Sonoran hot diggity dog. Nobody does like Tucson until now. Colibri created a Sonoran masterpiece with a Zenner sausage wrapped in bacon, pintos scattered aboout, pico de gallo, jalapeño salsa, ketchup, cream Mexicana on a tasty bun. This was a dog feast like no other! Great convivial vibe, wonderful service and delish Mex dishes.

Spot on! Small but clean and designed for getting in, eating a bad ass meal with competent service and getting on with your day. I followed the bartenders recommendation, ordering a Berea taco and the chili Verde tamale. Both were extremely fresh and flavorful. Served with a Mexican Coke for perfection.

Blown away by their mixology and flavors. I enjoyed meeting the waitress/bartender she was so nice to my boyfriend and I. She was very consistent with her service all around the bar and every client that step in. I enjoyed my whiskey sour and I also ordered their version of a michelada which surprisingly is made of aguachile mix was a nice twist.

The food is so good! Get there for happy hour 3-6pm! The vegetales tamal is huge and moist. I've only had dry tamales so I was surprised. The horchata and mexican hot chocolate are delicious. The guacamole is very good. The taco fillings are generous. I really like the flavor of the halibut and the vegetarian ones. The seating is the only downside I would say. There is bar seating and a few tables squeezed in the back. We got there around 3pm so we had our pick of tables, but I could see it being a problem once it gets crowded.

I loved everything about this place and will be back. Micheal is the bartender/waiter. He was super sweet and accommodating!! The place itself is very cozy. Only 4 small tables and a bar. They were so sweet to reserve a table for us since we called ahead. (though I don't think this is typical) I wanted to try a horchata for the first time, and Micheal was super sweet and added hot chocolate and let me try it for free!! So friendly. The tamales and tacos were delicious, and the standout item was the halibut tacos. Delicious, especially with the habanero sauce Micheal kindly brought out for us. A happy accident in ordering also allowed us to have a second serving of halibut tacos for free! Amazing place. Definitely deserves more attention!! It is always cool to see food trucks that are eventually able to get their own place :))

To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

One of the best parts was how approachable the bartenders were. We asked for custom drinks based on our preferences, and both came out perfectly tailored. Creative without being weird, and strong without being sloppy. What really stood out was the price point. For the quality of cocktails, the prices felt very reasonable compared to similar craft cocktail bars in other cities. The vibe was also great -- relaxed, cozy, and not pretentious. It felt like a place where you could come for a special drink experience without feeling like you had to "perform" or order off a rigid menu. We liked it so much we actually came back a second time during our trip. Highly recommend if you're into well-crafted cocktails, friendly bartenders, and a laid-back but elevated atmosphere.
