Logan behind the bar is consistently friendly, attentive, and professional. Bryn and Syd are just as welcoming and always make the experience enjoyable. It's just a great staff overall! I honestly don't know how this place is under 4 stars. Tacos aren't the best I've ever had, but still have plenty of flavor... the drinks make up for it tenfold-recommend the spicy marg! For what it's worth, take a minute to actually read the one-star reviews before letting them influence your decision. Sometimes they say more about the reviewer than the restaurant. First time visiting Tacovore and I love the atmosphere! It wasn't overly crowded on a Sunday night. Had the Taquitos (comes with black beans, green rice, salsa and guacamole on the plate) and a lovely Mexican lager. The food was delicious. Portion sizes were ok. I would say the price could be a little more reasonable for what you get. Chips, salsa and guacamole were $11 and the size was small! Before the bad, I'll share the good. There are two female staff member that work here that have great customer service. Now the bad! This place sucks. Staff in picture were very rude and treated my friends like criminals when ordering a 2nd shot. Good ambiance. I like that they have a few TV's, a bar and a variety of seating options. Tacos were great. Good size and tasty. I had the Carne Asada and the Crispy Calamari (which I ended up getting two of because the first was so good). Prices are on the higher side ($5-6.50 a taco) but at least they're not street size. My gripe is actually with customers who give shitty ass reviews. "Tacos aren't authentic" Okay first of all reading is fundamental. They never said their tacos were authentic. They have cauliflower tacos on the menu and tacos priced at over $6. If you want authentic tacos, you go to a taco truck where you can get them for about $2 each. (Which by the way I love those too) But you're coming here because it's gluten free and also because damn their inauthentic rice tastes amazing. I got three tacos and a cup of their chicken tortilla soup with a side of rice. When I come back I'm gonna skip the tacos and get a bowl of the soup and the side of rice. Yes, I also didn't care for the non authentic tacos but no I'm not going to give them a shitty review because of it. They never said they were authentic. Came 2 nights in a row because I was really pleased the first night. Came back the second night at last call and was told I could only order to go, which I did. When my food came, there were still at least 5 tables dining, socializing, and drinking, so I asked if I could eat my food inside since there were people still seated and enjoying the ambiance. They told me I wasn't able to eat inside and needed to take my food elsewhere. I went and sat at the tables outside in the cold of night and rain, and watched as all the others still seated enjoyed their food and beverages inside. Sometimes it's the little things that matter, especially to a return customer. Hopefully someone From the management team reads this and makes some corrections, or addresses this with the staff. It was my first time trying Tacovore. The passion fruit margarita was delicious! I would definitely get cocktails here again and re-order the cauliflower taco. I wasn't a fan of the smoky tofu because of the smokiness but I think that's an individual preference. I like how you can get your sauces in the fridge. And the food was prepared quickly. First the smoked tofu taco was pretty good I must say, you can smell the smoker approaching the restaurant. The two stars is due to the service or lack of. It is a more casual restaurant which I sometimes appreciate because the prices are mostly fair. However, I ordered one taco. I was given a number and I sat down, it wasn't very busy. I sat fairly close to the front counter where orders are taken. I went to the bathroom immediately after ordering and after placing my number on the table. I came back to sit down and start working on my tablet. I sat for quite a while and began to wonder why I had not received my order. It dawned on me that my number was gone. I went to the front and asked about my order and was informed that my order was given to someone else because my number was given to another table. We also got out kid the kids quesadilla - it's not a quesadilla it's an open face greasy cheese mess....no way any kid can eat without half the cheese falling out on to their shirt. Tacovore seems to be a neighborhood staple in Beaumont and it's easy to see why. Staff are friendly, indoor and outdoor seating is super cozy, and drinks are great. Their taco ideology could be described as "Maximalist" which I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of (e.g., pineapple, guac, pork, onions, herbs, and other items stuffed into a small corn tortilla), but one upside is the joyful feeling you get as your taco spews various ingredients out the backside as you eat it. It's giving you a second helping whether you like it or not. The chips were also amazing, and were fried (cooked?) to take on a 3D shape with a thin air pocket inside. I've never eaten chips so booshie. There may be a better taco joint in Portland, but there's definitely not a better taco joint in Fremont. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town. read more

I went to a retirement party there last Friday and here's why I'll never go back: The afternoon started out well. We had tables reserved and everyone was in good spirits. We got there around 2:30PM so it wasn't a late-night affair. An hour or so in, they started asking everyone who ordered a drink how they were getting home - seemingly very concerned that anyone might be driving. Which is fine, it was still really early and no one was drunk or acting out of sorts. Here's where it gets interesting. The guest of honor, clearly the main character with her tiara and sash, was surrounded by a group of friends and colleagues when one of the wait staff pushed their way through, grabbed the remaining third of her drink, and announced loudly that she was cut off. I've been to many bars, and I've seen many people cut off. This was the rudest and most unprofessional means of doing it that I could even imagine. My friend was not inebriated, horribly embarrassed, and the rest of the group was just confused. My boyfriend approached the young lady afterward to ask what had happened, and she stated that the fella at the counter (someone of authority I assume) had told her he was no longer comfortable serving her. When that happens, stop serving someone. There's absolutely no reason to make a scene and confiscate the last bit of a drink that's already been paid for. Even more so considering this was still early afternoon, no one was drunk, and nothing untoward had happened. I left shortly after but found out the following Monday that they then cut the party off from food too. FOOD. It's very clear that they just wanted us to leave. I can't stress enough how sober everyone was and if drunk driving was a real concern for the staff they wouldn't stop feeding people. So I'll never go back. They clearly didn't want our business then so I'll happily oblige and spend my money elsewhere going forward. Aside from that experience, my review is that their tacos are mediocre and not of good value for the dollar. read more

My wife and I drove by this place a few days ago and I loved the name and was swayed by their pictures on Instagram and reviews on Yelp to try it out. Very spacious, outdoor and indoor seating. You place your order first before taking a seat. Lots of options on the menu both for meat eaters and vegetarians/vegans. I appreciated the specials on their board and also a list of mocktails. Quality of the food is spot on. We knew we were in for something good even with just the chips and guacamole, but the tacos themselves were awesome.
