Food~ We decided to do date night (he loves Mexican food) so I knew he would enjoy this spot. Appetizer~Ceviche is absolutely delicious and, the ingredients are super fresh. I got 3 of quesabirra they were really good and well seasoned but, I just didn't care for the tortilla fried hard with cheese (on the outside). I ordered a side of beans and rice (it's a not a combo) Tinga "chicken" taco is all very juicy and flavorful (I believe I'll stick to that next time). He only eats taco so I had him order the Tinga taco combo and, he really enjoyed it. Service~is always exceptional it was very busy tonight so everyone was helping out. Very polite, funny, and extremely attentive. Ambiance~It's always a very welcoming and chill vibes. We sat in the bar area and it was very quiet and, they lighting was perfect. I would highly recommend this beautiful restaurant. Limited parking so you may have to hit a few blocks but, luckily we were able to park in the front.

10/18/2025 - we dropped in around 10pm for tacos after a show.

I discovered this spot during a Yelp Elite happening but I feel like I really discovered it this time around. I was happy with later hours since I can get here more often which I definitely intend to do. I have to start out by saying this is a women owned and operated spot and it shows in the details. Their walls are a delightful pink, the decor is superb and signature pink taco shells... When you order a drink here. Not only is it very well made, but it looks amazing. I highly recommend the 'I Wish You Roses'. We came in this time during their last hour since we finished a show. What a perfect end to our evening. Immediately, best service ever. We could not believe how fast our food was... and had to literally control ourselves, because it is so delicious that you just want to inhale. Remember to slow down and really enjoy how genuinely amazing their food is. We split chips and guac... the gauc is amazing enough but genuinely those chips, housemade, you can't beat. You also know they mean business when they sear their label into their lime wedges! We both ordered 4 tacos - I opted for carnitas and my friend is a vegan, so she went with the cactus. She was in heaven - I could see how great it looked. Mine were incredible....

Perfect spot to celebrate two birthday dinners. Amazing mezcal and tequila cocktails! Really great food. I was surprised to see good selection of gf and vegan options! Definitely get the chips and guacamole. Bring the ladies out! This place has super cute decor and vibes.

Dining at La Patroncita was such a special dining experience, especially knowing it's a family owned restaurant. You can taste the passion in their food. From the moment we walked in the feeling was upscale but warm and inviting. The food was absolutely jam packed with flavor. Every dish felt throughly crafted, with bold, rich mexican flavors that really stood out. The ingredients were fresh and every bite had the perfect balance of spice. Clean elevated plating, with the service was the cherry on top. Sweet and inviting. The drinks were handcrafted, and you can make them make ur drink from everywhere in the building. It's definitely more on the upscale side price wise, but absolutely worth it for the quality, flavor, and atmosphere. I'd recommend going in the evening to really enjoy the ambiance, and giving yourself time to soak it all in.

Listen, was the food delicious? Yes. Was the service good? Yes. Were the drinks tasty? Also yes. But! Youre paying for the vibes. I appreciated the details and thought that went into the ambiance. It was definitely on the pricey side for food you can get just as good or better for half the price at other establishments.

I decided to try this place after seeing such rave reviews for them and I'm so glad I did! They have the best chips, salsa, and guac that I have ever had. Seriously! The La Patroncita Bowl (with chicken) was also absolutely scrumptious. They also have a wonderful space that is truly unique. And I love the neighborhood they're in. Easy to find street parking and a great place to take a quiet walk after feasting. I enjoyed the food so much I just had to come back the next week for more! Enjoyed a great dinner at the window seat.

I love la patroncita. They have arguably thee best piña colada (virgin for me!) in the city and I'm obsessed with virgin piña coladas, so I feel like I'm pretty right on that one. They're just so rich and smooth. Their food is good too. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, with a beautiful pink bubble couch in the dining room area and a striking emerald green bar area in the back. There's small odes to Mexican culture all around the restaurant. It is small, so I recommend reservations but I've never had an issue walking in for two.

Chips are excellent, one of the best I've had in Portland.

The only slight negative on a list of many positives is the ordering process. It's unnecessarily inefficient. You stand in line, but don't get to review the menu until it's time to order thereby causing a longer wait. Then the person taking the order has to go find you a table, then walk back to the register to take the next order. Just odd. The space is super charming, great vibe, tasteful decor and an awesome bar. Great attention to detail, and what clever utensils. I eat a lot of Mexican food and the chips here are one of the best in Portland. Definitely not from a bag, probably homemade, hot and crisp. The chicken taco was good. But the winner of the night was the carnitas taco. They say carnitas is the benchmark on how to judge Mexican food, much like sausage is for pizza. Reminds me of one of the best I've had which was from now closed Tortilleria Y Tienda De Leon. Melt in your mouth, a touch greasy, but in a good way. The La Patroncita bowl, Mole Con Pollo, and ceviche were all very good. Not a smidgen remained. Cocktails are a main draw. The Panchita's Margarita was very good, but I was meh on the pinkish Mojito. However, the Brindo de Tamarindo was excellent. Love this place!

This spot is so freakin cute! Love the vibes, the pink tortillas, branded limes, and traditional Mexican dishes. We ordered the 2 taco combo plates, the Esquites, Paloma, and margarita. The drinks are strong and delicious. All the food was really yummy, we all LOVED our tacos. They were juicy and full of flavor, the tortillas are handmade and super soft and fluffy. Only note is that the rice and beans could use more salt. Would love to come back and try more items off the menu.

Order: 3 different Tacos & a drink. Shrimp ceviche. Pros: the food was amazing simply put, and the prices for taco Tuesday whatttt! The quality of the taco for the price on Taco Tuesday is well worth it!! I think the Tacos were like $3.5. The shrimp ceviche was equally as amazing and very, very flavorful. I wanted to drink the ceviche juice. That's how good it was. Cons: seating can be a little tricky, but we were seated fairly quickly.

What a gem of a location in Belmont - small yet classy, intimate yet open, delightful and cozy. Taco Tuesday is the best thing going here with pink margaritas and $3 tinga (chicken) and carnitas (pork) tacos. Ordering is accomplished at the counter to your right as you walk in the door, after which the staff will show you to your table. The dining room is divided into two main areas by an open "bookcase" - if you're sitting in the area on the other side of the divider, you can still see the charming little fireplace through the openings in the bookshelf. If you're game (or younger than my older knees will allow me), you can sit at the low-slung sofa that faces the fireplace - the ambiance is peaceful and quiet. There's a bar at the rear of the restaurant with seating nearby or at the bar countertop. The restroom is located down a flight of stairs, so if you're stair-challenged, plan accordingly; there are no facilities on the main floor. Our food arrived by attentive wait staff, beginning with chips and salsa, followed by tacos and drinks. The pink margarita with the branded lime on the rim was delicious. We had ordered chicken tacos and carnitas tacos which were made with generous portions of meat and covered in salsa and pickled onions and radishes. Everything was very tasty and filled us up with no room for dessert. Next time, I'll be doing a better job of advance planning as those buñelos sure looked mighty good! All in all, a charming little Mexican restaurant with street parking, open only during dinner hours. I'd recommend making reservations - the tables fill up fast!

Friendly service. Order at the counter then they show you where to sit. Tons of cozy seating spots and even a fireplace. I sat at the back with the bar and grabbed the table in the right corner which was great people watching spot. I ordered two tacos that are larger than street style: the tinga and carnitas. Both very juicy. I also got chips and salsa and loved how the salsa had a real kick to it. For a cocktail, the bidi bidi bum bum is a must try if you like any amount of sweet for a drink. It had a lot going on within the glass - sweet yet acidic, creamy yet punchy and a tiny hint of heat from the tajin rim. Any place that brands their own limes I am here for. Once there's a few folks waiting to order inside, leaving is kinda a mess to get through the people but that's a minor gripe. The team, food, drinks, and cozy inside of this small place make it worth visiting any time of year.

Beautiful, busy, and... burned logos? I was struck by the inviting atmosphere of pink hues and complimentary colors that welcomed me from the street. As I hopped out of my lyft, the neon pink sign confirmed that I had arrived to the best new Mexican spot in Southeast Portland. The wait for seating and ordering food can be long, since, seating is limited. However, the team was incredible with conversation while we waited, and, the small dining space made for cozy vibes to look forward to. I let the server choose all of my dishes and drink, which was the correct choice. Once I ordered, I was seated on a comfortable but very low couch. Those with mobility constraints may have difficulty sitting there. My drink, the Bidi Boom, arrived quickly, and, without alcohol, thanks to Dry January (for me). Thanks for the accommodation, team! I was very impressed with the attention to detail everywhere, from unique cowboy hats, to burned logos pressed into the limes that garnish beverages and tacos. The food arrived on the iconic pink tortillas, which, were some of the yummiest I had tasted. They are thick, flavorful, and allow for easy eating with one hand - as any taco should be. I would have enjoyed sitting at the bar, and I will probably do just that during my next adventure here. The side tables by the couch are at odd levels compared to where you are sitting, so, I recommend waiting for a table. Thanks for a great adventure! This is an ideal place to dine or drink if you are hopping around town.
