Hands down the best restaurant we've tried here ..no wonder everyone recommended it! The best thing we ordered was a wet burrito but honestly everything we got was great. The drinks were perfect too, not too strong or too weak. The customer service was excellent too. The food was ok service was good. Business practices not so much. Charge $12.00 for a margarita and an additional $5.00 for the tequila that goes in it. Then a charge around 4% for using a card. Took the credit card fee off the tip. Yes, I know it's not the servers fault that their employer chooses to do business this way but I won't be charged extra for not having $150 cash in my pocket. read more

Would have been 5 stars, but the doors to the stalls in the restroom are higher than the actual toilet (say hello to my hooha) which brings it to a 3, but the sunflowers outside brought it back up to a 4 because who can stay mad around sunflowers? read more

The food was really good. Homemade chips, and horchata. The wait was short to get in, but about 30 minutes for the food to get to you (they were really busy). The tried the Baja fish tacos and the creamy chicken enchiladas. The fish was lightly batter and tasted good. The enchiladas were a little spicy but still good. Let's start off with the positives: restaurant was clean, the menus and their website are very informative and reasonably priced. Now to my negative experience at this restaurant: My family and I arrived and were greeted by the hostess as you'd normally expect and were seated towards the back of the restaurant. The table had chips, salsa and menus; and... that was the last of our service. We waited 30+ minutes to place our drink and food order until we decided to get up and leave the restaurant. The first time in our lifetime having to do so. During our wait, there were 2 staff members behind us working on a task. They would walk towards the front of the restaurant and return multiple times. After awhile, I would have appreciated an acknowledgment from the staff but they'd walk past us without the slightest smile (or what would have been appreciated), "someone will be with you shortly". About 25 minutes after being seated, I got up to speak to a server to notify them that we were ready to place our drink and food order. We then proceeded to wait another 10+ minutes before finally giving up and leaving the restaurant. On our way out, I counted 4 staff members hanging out at the hostess / front desk area. The lack of awareness by the staff was truly surprising. The restaurant was not particularly busy per the amount of servers we would see walking throughout our wait. We're okay with waiting, the main issue was 30+ minutes of no service, no acknowledgment of us even being there, and no signs of attentiveness. read more

Right on the corner of the Hwy and 1st street the restaurant was easy to find and access. The locals we talked to all recommended Casa Mañana as a must go for delicious local food. We were seated immediately and got chips and salsa. Staff was very friendly and polite. The history behind the restaurant is really cool to read since most owners take over and discard all the original recipes but this one kept the old originals and serve them even today. It was authentic Mexican food. The same way my grandma made things. There is nothing like homemade authentic retried beans and rice! The atmosphere was clean, fun and comfortable. The greenery is a nice touch. The chili rellano had delicious flavor that was refreshing and the fajitas were flavorful! Fried ice cream was really good as well. If we ever come through this area again we will have to stop again. Their strawberry lemonade was delicious and refreshing as well. read more

This was actually my second time here. The first was after my in person interview for the company I now work for. A friend told me they were definitely going to hire me because they took me out for Mexican! She was right :) The second time was our office Christmas party. We had a table of 8 and the service was still great! All of our food was still hot by the time we got it. I don't think anyone ever ran out of chips, salsa, or drinks. And our waiter was a relative of one of our party so it was a nice reminder of how wonderful small towns can be! Both time have been great. Fast, friendly service. Huge portions. Attentive waiters. Good salsa. And I like that there is a mixture of kinds of chips. Some chips are thicker and flakier, some more more traditional from the store. The mixture and salsa selections ensures everyone has something they like. Unless they don't like chips and salsa... But then there is not hope for them anyways... The first time I had crunchy beef tacos. I'm Texan, I have to try the tacos everywhere I go. I really liked them. The meat had a good flavor and the shells were very crunchy. Yum! The second time I had the fried fish tacos. (Told ya, self-proclaimed taco addict....) I really liked them. The tacos were full of fish and fillings, not just tiny pieces of fish with too much other stuff. They were crispy and warm. And the special salsa for the fish tacos was a great addition. Well, yesterday I tried my favorite again -- the guacamole tostada. It wasn't as good as I'd previously posted. The tortilla was really small and the guac was just about nonexistent. It had wayyy too much shredded lettuce on it, too. I left about a handful of it on my plate. I guess I won't go there again as it's pretty $pendy and what I got wasn't satisfactory at all. read more

Casa mañana is the perfect place for a nice Mexican meal in a fun little dive restaurant. The decorations of their Hawaiian themed menu with the hanging paper Palm trees and pineapples are very tacky but fun. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Their food is quite good. Although not really true Mexican flavours they do put a nice spin on their own rendition of the cuisine. The kalua tacos that I had were very good. The side salsa of pineapple and coconut gave a very interesting and fresh flavour to the pulled pork. The portions are massive. I could barely eat half of my meal. Oh! And I highly recommend the margaritas. They are very fresh and tasty. I will probably come back mañana. read more

If you are looking for mediocre over salted food with grease chips, this is the perfect place. Quite frankly, the only thing Mexican about this place is the name. I have frequented this establishment a handful of times, but with very few non-fast food options in town, this establishment is one of a very few to choose from. Sadly, the management at this restaurant is as bad as their food. They treat their employees like garbage. The mother/son managment team run their people ragged and are embarrassingly rude to staff in front of guests. I don't know how the employees tolerate it. Truly a wonder why anyone comes here to eat. I won't ever set foot in this restaurant again. read more

This is a great little family place. I had both kinds of tamales and they were both really good. The chips were great. Some have complained about flour chips. It's a feature not a bug and common in this part of Arizona. I loved all the food including chips and salsa. Great flavors friendly service.
