The staff were exceptionally wonderful and were helpful, kind, and attentive. The atmosphere is fairly basic for a restaurant, but still nice and clean. I ordered a California Chicken dish and have to say while it was fine, it was quite clear the vegetables were from a frozen package. Perhaps if I ordered a more traditional Mexican dish it may have been better, but this did not impress me. And it felt a little pricey for what I got. read more

This was our first time there. We ordered some cheese dip and he talked us into a large. WOW! We took some home. LOL I ordered the steak fajitas and hubby had the Pollo Patron. They were both amazing. The server, Roberto was very nice and funny. We asked another guy for a bag for our to go containers. He brings a garbage bag first as a joke. We died laughing. I ordered food to go on the way to work this evening. Chicken enchiladas verde and spinach dip. Pros - service was fast and friendly - amount of food okay for the price - the rice was decent - the cheese in the spinach dip was good Cons - enchiladas were dry, chicken was tough, and lacked seasoning - the salsa was a cross between salsa and marinara - the spinach dip was literally cheese dip with a handful of spinach thrown into it. Possibly the worst mexican food ive ever eaten. Chimichonga was undercooked and FLAVORLESS. They took the chimichonga off the bill but still charged me $35 for my wifes 1 taco(which was equally as gross) and a kids chicken strip basket. Service was below average at best. Shady practices, they advise half off margaritas for happy hour, but don't mention it is only the medium and small and charge $23 for a large, even after asking the waiter about happy hour. If happy hour doesn't include large this needs to be clearly indicated. We could have gotten 2 mediums each for less than we paid. Food is good but staff is misleading and feel like we were ripped off $23 for 2 margaritas. read more

My wife and I tried Casa Mexico Grill and Cantina for the first time this week. We had heard how good the food, and drinks were here. That is an understatement! We started with a couple Happy Hour margaritas, which were very very good. We decided to try the street tacos. Those were delicious .We will certainly be back for those. The service was very good as well. When you go, ask for Omar, our server. Before we left , We were already planning on a return visit next week . We have now found our go to Mexican restaurant! Food was just ok - I agree with the comment that the salsa tastes like marinara sauce. Big issue is that it smells like cleaner.

We had an early Christmas this year and decided to get our lunch catered. I love Casa Mexico in Mason, so I sent them an email request. Omar Gonzalez quickly answered the email. He helped me with our lunch excellently! Everything was ready on time. The food was hot and delicious! We enjoyed taquitos, nachos locos, street tacos with pork, chicken and beef, chips with salsa and cheese dip. (Be sure to get the Choriqueso. Very spicy!) We also enjoyed rice and many assorted toppings at a very reasonable price. I will definitely call them again! read more

Came in pretty late (9:15) they close at 10. The place was like 80 degrees and so uncomfortable. Not sure if they turn the AC up at a certain point or what, but it was HOT. We received quick service and got the chips and salsa( which is your basic salsa nothing amazing) quickly. We were told of a draft beer deal of 32oz (I think) for $4.25, but then the check came they were actually $6.50 sooo I'm unsure of what happened there or what the server thought he was telling us about. Oh well. Still a good deal. The food came out quick and hot. My quesadilla fajitas was good, just a tad too greasy on the outside but I ate the whole thing because we just finished a sand vball game in 95 degrees. Soooo I was HUNGRY. My fiancé's burrito was good but also a little too greasy. It was cool that they pico came in a mini taco salad shell on the plate. The service was fast, and the beer (during happy hour) was a great price. The salsa was typical, not amazing, but good. I got the vegetarian tacos with veggies. They were AMAZING! It would've been nice for them to come with beans on the side(just to have a protein, I was stuffed after 2 tacos. It was 8.99 for 3 veggie tacos, no sides came with it. ($2.25 to add a side of beans). My husband got Alambre. He said it was AMAZING. Our daughter even ate chicken off the plate. The portions were huge. The atmosphere was great. Bathrooms could definitely be cleaned up (chipping paint on the doors, the diaper changing station blocks the only sink etc), but not a big deal. We will be back for sure! read more

Loved this place! Possibly the best Mexican in town and its truly authentic. I came with my family last week and tasted a bit of everything. My favourites were the fajita nachos and the pollo, rice, and cheese entrée. The restaurant was clean and also abided by COVID social distancing rules. Most importantly, the margaritas were FABULOUS! I ordered the Cadillac but I noticed they had quite the selection. I look forward to visiting again and trying something different... Oh - the service was great too! Not so good...staff was very nice but the quality of the drinks and dips we ordered was poor. Salsa is fresh but watery. Guacamole is creamy but lacks flavor and is a super small serving. Choriqueso was disappointing as well. Consistency was not aligned with a dip. It was super liquified. No way this was going to stay on a chip! I requested more cheese to thicken it up. The happy hour touted a margarita for $6.95, three flavors. What I received was not a $7 quality drink...what would it have cost of it wasn't happy hour?!? A machine mixed drink with artificial lime and very diluted. If I'm paying close to $10 for a margarita I'm expecting this thing to blow my head off with fresh flavor and potency! Outdoor area could use a facelift. Put some plants out there or Corona decorative banners along the fence. I don't anticipate this place to last long. Me and my girl won't be back. read more

My wife and I gave Acapulco a try tonight and were very pleased with our dinner. I had Carnitas, and the pork was just the right balance of juicy and crispy. Service was very attentive and our soft drinks were always kept full. I would rate the chips as fair (the oil tasted a bit old) and the salsa as good, but it had more onion than I prefer. The portions were so big, I will have leftovers from my leftovers. I was hoping to try their Tres Leches Cake or Banana Chimichanga, but we were both too full. Went to Try this restaurant out in Mason, walked in and it was so inviting. Asked Omar what was one of their specialties he said the street tacos. We tried the tacos they were amazing, he brought us 2 sauces the hot, which was spicy hot, then the verse sauce which was really good. They also had a margarita special from 3 to 6. Which help to wash the hot down lol! Will definitely be back to try other items. This is a nice place in Mason to try don't miss out. read more

First time here. Had excellent carnitas with maybe the best salsa verde I've ever had. Not watery, but not gelled either, with a touch of roasted cumin. The food is the typical Americanized Mexican food. However, their beef flautas are amazing. The service has always been top notch at this location. There not much to say about the food as it's pretty standard, but well done. They do make their own Micheladas that are very tasty. We've been looking for a good Mexican restaurant and found it here today. The food was EXCELLENT! We stopped in for a late lunch and the restaurant was not too busy. The waitress was warm and friendly, as was the store manager. Husband is a Philly Cheesesteak addict, and raved about the Philly Cheesesteak Burrito, which came with rice and beans. I had the California Burrito, which was overflowing with steak, chicken, onions and chorizo, topped with perfectly cooked shrimp and grilled pineapple. I did ask for the cheese sauce to be served on the side, which they did without hesitation. Lunch time prices were very reasonable considering the huge portions. Only disappointment was the salsa served with chips when you first arrive -- it tasted like plain, store bought salsa. But everything else about the food in this place was perfection on a plate. So glad we found it! This will definitely be our Go To when we're in the mood for Mexican. read more

3.5 because it's new. This address has been several things over the years - now opening as Acapulco. We love the Acapulco in Lebanon which is consistently busy, with great food and service. I am assuming this new location is of the same chain (but a quick search online for the Acapulco homepage did not show it as a new location). IF it is associated with the one in Lebanon, then I expect it will get its legs under it quickly and be a good local Mex spot - even though we have several other Mex places close by that are good. This location has only been open about 2 weeks - we came on a Tuesday night around 6:30 pm. There were 4 or 5 tables of guests when we walked in which is always reassuring to see other people. There is extra space off to one side (party room?) that was dark - creating a sort of "unfinished" look and feel to the space, but, otherwise the decor is typical/expected. The menu is pretty much the same as other quick Mex places. Chips were warm, fresh and crisp. Salsa was tasty (a little on the thin side, but good flavor and spice level). Service was friendly and attentive. We all ordered basics as a way to determine food quality - shredded chicken soft tacos, chicken quesadillas, and sides of beans and rice. It was good - nothing stand out but nothing missing either. I guess I would go here as easily as any other place but it would be cool if they could differentiate themselves on food and atmosphere from the other long established and well-liked Mex places in there area. read more

Super tasty combination. Hope this place survives the dreaded turnover on this corner of the building. Fresh look, friendly staff, real Mexican atmosphere with the music and even using the language. Steps above another Texmex restaurant that can almost be seen out the window down 42. Typical prices, but when you get 2 meals out of it, it's a great deal. We'll be back. This was our first time here. We liked the typical Mexican restaurant type atmosphere. Service was very friendly and efficient. They had a lot of great marguerita drink specials. My husband had enchiladas and said they were good. Not the greatest he has had and not the worst. I had a shrimp salad that came in the large tortilla bowl like a taco salad would. It was really good! Everything was fresh. Shrimp were well seasoned and cooked and there was a generous portion of them. The salad had many tasty slices of avocado. Overall this is another good Mexican restaurant. But there are already 4-5 good Mexican restaurants in this area so they will face some stiff competition. Acapulco will need to find a way to set themselves apart as better than the rest. Nevertheless, the location is super convenient, the parking is easy and the prices are reasonable. We will occasionally come back here again when we're hungry for Mexican food. read more
