Lois and her team put on a truly incredible evening for me and my girlfriends (15 of us total) during my bachelorette weekend in Santa Fe. They were all so kind and accommodating (especially with our variety of food restrictions). The chili-roasting and tortilla making portion of the evening was such a fun way to start the night. When we moved into the house we were blown away by the beautiful set-up they put together in our rental house - it was like we were in a private restaurant. Each course was insanely delicious and exceeded all my expectations. Everything about the evening was amazing and a unique experience I'll never forget. It was my favorite part of the whole weekend. I HIGHLY recommend Red Mesa Cuisine for any special occasion!

Lois and Walter catered my birthday dinner in Santa Fe in December and it was perfect! The food itself was truly outstanding, and Lois took the time to tell us about each course and the significance of the ingredients throughout the meal. My friends and family all said they had never had such a beautiful meal and continued raving about it all weekend. Lois and Walter went above and beyond and sang me a traditional Native American birthday wish and presented me with a beautiful signed cookbook. Did you know Lois' cookbook won a James Beard Award?!? Start to finish it was a perfect night and I can't want to plan my next party in Santa Fe with Lois!

We could not make a reservation, but figured we would try to get a table anyway, I'm glad we went. Great restaurant, very close to our hotel, the Hostess was amazing and made us feel welcome. Everything was great! Thanks to the staff, fast service, pleasant ambiance, great drink and great food!

Though I heard other peoples tables getting celebrated for various things. (A minor complaint compared to a poor meal, but worth noting.) 2nd, the food was truly mid at best. The presentation was lackluster and the flavors were on a whole bland and uninspired. Between my husband and I we ordered the Shrimp app (overcooked and rubbery butterfly shrimp), the pickles side (truly a bunch of random pickled items laid out on a plate with no thought to presentation, it was like my at home fridge clean out meals. Yall should look at the way Campo does their pickle jar.), the Santa Fe Spicy Hot chicken and waffles (zero spice. ZERO SPICE. Where is the hot sauce guys?!), the snapper with calabacitas (this is not an exaggeration, but it was TWO slices of zuchinni and the rest was over cooked chopped onion and hominy with zero color. And the rice was literally "Butter Rice". Are we serving sides for toddlers now? Where is the flavor? ), and the outrageously dry Kentucky Butter Cake. So dry I struggled to swallow it, and I am a dessert girl through and through, I'll basically eat anything with sugar, but this was so tough to stomach. In addition, our server was a new gal being trained and she was pretty inattentive. Late to take orders, and very late to give us our check after our sad bland meal with my husband desperately trying to make eye contact so we can get the heck out of here. My mocktail was the highlight of the meal, but I think it's easy to see that the rest was a bust. We ended up going to the Four Seasons bar for a second round of dessert because I was so disappointed in my nice birthday meal being a waste of money and the drive up from ABQ.

Patrons were all soft spoken and music was low as well here, which was a very nice contrast to the often loud music of other restaurants in the area. Food was a pleasant medley of spices and sweetness. Cannot recommend this place highly enough, their jerk chicken was fall off the bone. It reminded me of Jamaica but it was honestly better than when I was there. 10/10! I forgot to take photos we devoured the food we ordered so quickly! Vegetarian combination platter was also something my partner loved! So great for vegetarians too!

You should never in life need a knife for oxtails, but the knife was warranted because we indeed did. What meat there was, was tough and entirely lacking in flavor, to include the gravy they swam in - which had the barest HINT of spice. Another reviewer got it right when they said it's generous to claim the dish is accompanied by a side of collards. There was a sprinkling of chopped, nearly raw collards and a chunk of mofongo. Perhaps the food is better when the chef is actually in the kitchen, but he definitely wasn't back there on this day. My husband's Coke was flat and the Jamaican hibiscus tea was mouth puckering. The ambiance was nice - loved the bazaar - and the staff friendly, but unfortunately that's the best that can be said.
