It's true there is limited parking, but good information, carpooling, and walk ability made it a non-issue for our guests. The venue has a magic you can't create other places and is more cost-controllable than a hotel! I truly appreciated how Pilar and Karen answered every question, asked some we hadn't thought about, and made all of our other wedding vendors' jobs easier! The venue can work indoors (with a smaller guest list) and outdoors. It naturally separates space for the service, the meal, and dancing. There is a designated bar area and protected place for the DJ equipment. Our party guests ranged from 18 to 80 and everyone found a comfortable place to enjoy the event. We didn't need exceptional or elaborate decoration to have a beautiful event. Our wedding attendance was under 70 -- if you have more, there are a couple of considerations to be aware of, but Pilar is very transparent about the additional considerations.

We originally planned our reception at another location that fell through (blessing in disguise) and we booked with Pilar at Neptune, sight unseen as we're from out of state. Throughout the process Pilar was amazing and helped set our mind at ease as we worked to plan things out, even directly coordinating with our caterer to make sure everything was just right, opening up the day before so we could see it in person before the big day, and putting our last decorations in place while we got ready. My favorite spot during our whole trip was returning to the El Rey Court every night. It is an escape in itself. The La Reina and its La Reina Mesita has the best Margaritas and food, which we enjoyed every night. The rooms are stunning and the outside lounge areas are filled with trees and cozy spots. The front desk and all staff were exceptional. We highly recommend the El Rey Court.

I thought he would lose his mind. I loved the local art throughout the hotel and enjoyed the overall vibe. The free shuttle is very convenient and reliable and we definitely took advantage of that because parking in town is not the easiest. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

They were instantly responsive to every request and it was clear that the staff is fully committed to the guest experience. The rooms are incredibly unique in this building that is centuries old and uniquely decorated from the owners world travels but keeping with the Santa Fe feel. The included breakfasts were amazing with incredible service. They also have included town car service within 3 miles so almost all of the local restaurants and shopping/art galleries within distance. It was so easy to get dropped off and picked up for meals and shopping which we did many times. While certainly not an inexpensive property, I can truly say that it was worth the value for an unbelievably memorable experience.

Simply because it was a ranch house that had its quirks. Wasn't built yesterday, but for me so much better than a glossy, shiny new hotel room. Llamas you ask? I didn't see any in the 3 days we were there . . . but perhaps they used to be there when it was a real ranch . . . or they were just hiding?
