Great experience. Our waitress Staci was fantastic. She was attentive and very sweet. I adore Casa Ole hot sauce and chile chin queso. Today was great as usual. I had the lunch fajitas for only $10! That's cheaper than some burger combos. It was good. Onions and peppers with beef fajita. The meat was a little tough but not bad. Hubby had burrito con queso and ate every bite. I remember now why it has been years since I have eaten here. The guacamole was brown. The tacos and chalupas were soggy. My 75 years old mom was disgusted. Her quote, "this shit must have been sitting there all day." Hey, the chips and queso was eatable, at least. We will not be back. Casa Ole was the first Mexican restaurant I ever ate at, not this location but one in Silsbee. I have a special place in my heart for the weirdness that is their Queso.. I think they may be putting some sort of cream of celery or something in it but I'm not sure. Anytime I am in South East Texas and have the chance I will stop in at Casa Ole'. I was on my way out of town and my friend wanted to grab some food on the way back to Austin so we decided to stop in. I was excited as I had great memories of eating at Casa Ole as a child. Everything was cool at first, looked the same sounded the same smelled the same. Then we ordered. I got a margarita, it was happy hour so it was 2 bucks. I was pretty happy about that until I actually tasted the margarita. It was all sweet and no sour. It was also the weakest margarita I've ever had. I decided that since they were 2 bucks a piece if I could drink five of them and get a buzz equal to one good margarita it wasn't a bad deal. The problem with that plan is that I couldn't order them fast enough. I drank maybe 6-7 of these margaritas and left with a slight buzz. I'd honestly rather they just charge me for a shot and give me a good margarita than the glass of syrupy sweet weak stuff they came with. The food was also not great at all. I cant help but think I've been spoiled by fresh made to order Mexican food because I felt like all of the food here tasted more like a TV dinner. The salsa was watery and tasted more like tomato sauce than salsa. I couldn't in good faith recommend this food to anyone. So... they have this Desert that I always got when I was little, its a cinnamon tortilla with ice cream, whip cream strawberry's and a strawberry syrup. I've always been a huge fan so I had to have it despite my previous disappointments. I assumed they couldn't mess this up. What they brought me was far different than what I remember having in the past. First off the portion size seems to have increased a whole lot. The whip cream is also now around the sides of the plate instead of on the ice cream. The strawberry syrup was watery and it was kind of like my ice cream and everything were just sitting in a puddle of it. It wasn't good at all and I didn't even finish it. I cant say that I would recommend Casa Ole to anyone at this point. The best part of my experience was the extremely nice waiter. A local highly recommended this place as we are making our journey through Texas. Said it was the best in Beaumont. We went and here's my take on it. The building and the inside is overly decorated with bright colors. That was our first indication that this was a bad idea. We were greeted and seated. Plenty of chips and salsa to go around. Menu was small and no burritos. Most of the food on the menu was fried. I'm curious why that was. Not one Mexican restaurant back home other than Jack in the Box, fries their tacos. I was forced to get a taco since that was the only thing that seemed ok. Who can ruin a taco?? They did. I ate one. The rest of my plate must have came from a can. My family got their food and also sat there and wondered what was on their plate. My family was unhappy with their food, but we ate some of it, took it back and threw it away. Service was good. We were not aware that we had to scan a barcode to recieve a menu. The waitress sat us down and walked away. But so far Texas has the worst Mexican food I ever tasted. I do not recommend this restaurant to any real Hispanic/Mexican. They have no real tortillas they took an hour to just make our food which was just enchiladas. My husband had a hair in his beans. They ran out of avocado. They didn't give us Verde Chile, nor red Chile. Never again. read more

We've been enjoying Casa Ole for years! It's an economical Mexican restaurant!! Try the queso de an appetizer. Layer dip is good if you want something different and I always love the fried mushrooms! Casa Ole is funny - everyone in the Triangle Area knows that it's neither all that great nor even authentic, yet it seems to be everyone's "I don't know where I want to eat" mainstay. Elena's is better. Carlito's is better. But everyone can usually agree on Casa Ole. It's just one of those things, I guess. It's cheap, it's unoffensive, and the customer service is generally pretty decent. The salsa is watery but not too hot for anyone and doesn't taste like ketchup. The queso is good enough. This particular visit, the service was really good, though the food still tasted like Old El Paso, which was completely expected. Portions are decent enough for the price, though, and the fried mushrooms are really good. Also, if you like cinnamon, try the Desert Ole...it's surprisingly good. Food is overpriced for what it is. I got the chicken and beef fajitas. The beef looked and tasted like beef jerky. The waitress was polite but nowhere to be found for the entire meal. I was given one napkin (with the fork and knife rolled up in it) and never could find the waitress to get more napkins. A group of waitresses were eating all while serving customers. We have been consistently disappointed with this location. One of the last times we went we had terrible food and the service was even worse. Only reason we had gone that particular time was for the cheap margaritas. This last time we went, 2 nights ago, was even worse. The only reason we decided to go this time was because of the $5 off-coupons they mailed out to local residents. The restaurant was empty, took 2-3 minutes for the hostess to realize that my party and a separate party had been waiting. Once the hostess realized we were there, she had no menus to get us so we had to wait an additional 5 minutes, after being seated, to get a menu. The waitress was polite, attentive and you could tell they were trying. We ordered a large Rico's Dip as an app and it took a long period for it to show up and when it did... it was a small instead of a large. Our waitress caught this and corrected it before we could complain. For our main course, I ordered a "Steak and Enchilada" dinner and my girlfriend ordered a plate dinner with an add on tostada. The Steak and Enchilada dinner has a menu picture that looks really appetizing. A decent 6-8oz steak, 2 giant enchiladas oozing with cheese, rice, and charro beans. What I received was about 3-4oz of fajita steak (albeit cooked well), 2 pathetic enchiladas with dry tortillas, barely any cheese and the diameter of a sharpie (tiny). Also received pico, and re-fried beans. My dish came missing 2 items and with 1 item that didn't belong. My girlfriend received her plate but no tostada. I immediately brought to our waitresses attention that the dish I received was wrong. She apologized and came back 5 minutes later with my rice and charro beans, mentioned how the kitchen barely knows the menu, and still forgot the tostada. We had to remind her again to bring it. She apologized and tried to remove it from our ticket but was unable to because it was an add-on to the meal instead of added onto the ticket as a stand alone item. I'm sorry but that is a terrible excuse. I understand it was a cheap item but it's the matter that she told us she would remove it and then came back to say she couldn't. After we ate what we could, we got our ticket and went to pay. This is all taking place at about 7PM. We walk to the front, pass the bar, and realize that the bar top is FULL with +50 dirty drink glasses (mugs, margaritas, etc) still covered in salt and various levels of old drinks. The whole bar top was filled with these dirty drinks. The restaurant was empty minus 3-4 couples. This is zero excuse in my mind for a place that has been open this long, and a fixture of our local society, to be this bad off. I honestly in good faith could never recommend this location to anyone. I really feel bad for the wait staff that has to put up with management like this. I could tell that they were trying their hardest with what they were given and the support being given looks like none. In my opinion, who ever has been running this location needs to be fired and replaced with someone competent. The $5 I saved because of the coupon I was given was directly turned into our poor waitresses tip. The other coupons they sent out were promptly thrown away once I got back into my car. What once use to be a great option for tex mex in SETX is a barren husk of what it use to be. There are tons better places to go, and most of them within 5-10 miles of this location. read more

They had good chips and salsa and margaritas. There was a waitress/bar tender there named Whitney who was awesome! She made my friend a special drink that wasn't even on the menu. Big fan of Casa Ole, always and forever. Queso was on point this day per usual. The chips were half crumbs, but our server brought us more upon request. My tamales a la carte topped with queso (3 for $4.47- though they gave me a fourth for free) were more dough than meat, but still good. Everyone else enjoyed theirs, and my non Texan fiancé was impressed with the fajita burrito. Our server was great and apologized profusely over the longer wait for our food due to a short-staffed kitchen, and even comped our drinks. Win win. I know that Casa Ole is frozen, Tex-Mex food made by Americans. This is not the place to go for real authentic Mexican food. However, we have been going to Casa Ole for years and love it. Don't expect mole or barbacoa or the horrid menudo. Do expect darn good nachos and chips ... good queso and margaritas.. good hot beef fajitas and stuff like that. You can drop in here anytime you're hungry and want "kind of" Mexican food fast and hot. Honestly, we've seldom ventured from the appetizers. There's no need too because they're satisfying on their own. The prices are darn good.. The restaurant is always clean and, well, the service is kind of hit-And-Miss. Place is relatively empty a big party came in half an hour before I got there. Me and my two toddlers waited 15 minutes for a table. Waited 1520 minutes to get the food what came out my toddler's food was all wrong I still haven't had our drinks yet or our case I was an appetizer the waitress kept blaming the party which I understand but it was a soft taco and that was it a side of apple slices. We waited another 20 minutes and still didn't get the kids meal after asking the waitress twice. Took my check to the manager explained to her what happened she took off one meal that we never got which as she should and took an extra two dollars off the top. I just spent $20 on absolutely nothing. The hostess and the manager before we shut down we're very pleasant everything else after that dropped immediately. I wouldn't wish this place on anyone. Visited this location over the weekend for the first time. Overall we tremendously enjoyed the food but the wait service was slow and very impersonal. Food: LOVED IT. I am a Mexican Food junkie and I tremendously enjoyed the food. Queso was great, margaritas were really good, family really enjoyed all their dishes (chimichanga and floutas). I got a stuffed bell pepper and was tremendously pleased. Great flavor to everything. Salsa was great Service: Pretty slow. Our drinks never got refilled, parts of the order were forgotten. Not horrible but not impressive. That would have really improved the experience. We visited sunday night so it might have just been a slow day. We'll be giving it another try to see how it goes. There is a new trend at a lot of restaurants and now Casa Ole is adopting it. Its called "Shorting the Customer on their Change". They will bring back your paper money but keep your loose change. I usually call them on it but this time it was only 35 cents so I wrote a note to the waiter and told him why he didn't get a tip and hope he enjoyed my change. Next time I wont be so forgiving. Great for a party or family! The salsa is always my favorite although the chips were a bit stale... The restaurant is pretty clean and the wait staff are pretty quick! He keeps our glasses full and asks if we need more chips and salsa we got the flautas appetizer which was a great choice they are so good with the queso dip! For the dinner I got Miguel's nachos, they didn't have olives which come standard and the creme sauce they use was kind of cold... I didn't care for that.
